In hindsight I should of done this install in two days to make sure things were good....But where is the fun in that? #HDJ81 #Landcruiser #Toyota #Tandemoffroad #Gturbo #PerformanceDieselIntercoolers www.tandemoffroad.com/
What’s the word on the update video? I’m about to do a FT swap with the turbo and intercooler in my LX450 and would like to hear how it’s working for you.
Still no updated video? At least a talk through of what you did and how it ran since you dont have the 80 anymore. I still do and last on my list is a turbo swap so im curious on how yours turned out
Hi all, guys i need your help about 2 options to buy, first 84 Cruiser with engine 15bft 4.100cc turbo diésel and 5° manual and the second option another cruiser i dont know the year between 1984-86 but with F2 engine, what option it is better? the 15bft engine its good too? or bad option. please help.
I’m curious to see how the turbo holds up for you. Mine failed after 700 miles. BTW, I was 600 miles from home when it happened. Gturbo has horrible after service also. Ended up costing me an additional $750 in shipping to get it repaired. It’s also a laggy turbo, compared with the custom turbo my HDJ81 came with. A lot less power, and takes forever to get peak psi. Extremely dissatisfied with it A costly investment on my part, that I’m stuck with now I’ll never give a good review of the turbo.
It seems like you're not the first one that's been unsatisfied with Gturbo lately. I was also considering investing in one, but have given up and rather looking into a hybrid CT26 turbo at this stage. My biggest concern is the spool up with the auto 1HD-FT.
@@HendriMouton unusual to hear that - I’ve just had the burger with the lot fitted to my 1HDT fte by gturbo and couldn’t be happier - 300hp & 720nm - 10000k’s in and she spools up instantly with 26psi of boost and pulls like a train 👍 Down here in Oz gturbo have a great reputation 🤷♂️
Poor service for GTurbo is called out here, noted. If they are only great to Oz then this is probably the call out for international sales/service. Reputation is everything, if they had a product failure and didn't make it good, didn't communicate well, then that is important to know. I am on the fence for going GTurbo in my build, but I did notice the communication was pretty lackluster. I thought maybe they were having a bad day but if other people are noticing this then its good to call out, even for them. @gturbo heads up gotta keep that international customer relationship healthy too.
@@bjlandersI’ve been steering people towards Munro. Much better product and great communication. My friend just got his from them, and he is extremely satisfied.
