This troubleshooting guide will help you fix HDMI No Sound in Windows 11 When Connect to TV - No HDMI Audio Device Detected.

the last time i had this issue, i spent almost an hour going from article to article and messing with drivers and uninstalling and restarting and was basically on the verge of just having a mental breakdown from frustration. your instructions helped me fix the problem in less than a minute. what worked for me i deleted all sounds dreivers and restart the pc then opened geforce expreince and did a clean install for all and worked.

I can't play audio with hdmi output connected from cpu to tv. When I restart the cpu then only I can play the audio from tv with hdmi. Once tab is closed , reopening tab won't play the audio. Again restart the pc. Can't figure out solution. Please help

Sadly none of this worked. I have my computer plugged into my LG TV with an HDMI as a 2nd monitor 24/7. I frequently switch sound outputs from my TV (watching shows) and my gaming headset (discord calls & games). I had my bluetooth mouse suddenly stop working and the only way to fix that was to update to Windows 11. Before the update the sound on my TV was working fine. I switched to my headset to game with my friends right after the update and when I put it back to the TV the sound is no longer working (visuals never stopped). Computer and TV not muted, sound output is set to TV (which worked a few hours ago pre-update). Updating the drivers did nothing and I don't think my HDMI cable conveniently took a sh*t right after the update. Tested the internal TV speakers and they are working. Don't know what else to do.

Hi, after windows 10 latest update, my laptop display gone black, this is due to display and video driver. Now i only mirror my laptop with monitor to do work, Due to this touvh screen and keyboard backlight is also not working. Is there any fix? I have dell inspiron 5759 laptop. Thanks

Plugged in my TV to my computer after moving it to another room and now sound won't play. I tried all these options but nothing has worked. Any advice? HP Omen. Ps5 works on same tv with sound. Any help greatly appreciated.
