Thank you! I thought my brand new camera was broken, but it turns out I was putting the card in the wrong way.. The manual said to put the printed side down, And it would fit that way and even clicked. Anyway. Thank you again!

To turn it on, do you have to press the power button every time, or does it turn on right away when you open the camera?

lamborghinilover777 Default setting is, camera turns on when you open the screen.

My camera been saying "accessing" for an hour now, right after a put the sd card in. What should I do?

+Grace Cecchini Power off the camera and than try to remove sd card and then insert it again. Also make sure the card is class 10 sd card and high speed.

Did you ever get the card to work? I've been getting the same blinking message: C:13:01 and its saying my SanDisk is noncompatable. Costco's concierge service connected me to Sony, and Sony says the camera only took Sony Memory Card

Acme World Sports, LLC Yes, the card is working fine. I'm using it for all recordings now and seldom use the internal card.

I have the same error message, but the camera was working fine with a 64g sandisk sd card, and it started acting funny after I took it out and plugged it into my computer. Tried reformatting the SD card, then reinserting it. That didn't work, reformatted the camera itself, and that did nothing. Tried seating it a million times and that did nothing I still am getting that C1301 error. The only other option that I can find is to take it apart and check the ribbon cable on the inside of the thing. either that or drop 200 bucks for sony to look at it....

Question: I'm running a couple different Sony Handycams (HDR-PJ260) in a lab, using ac power cable, and for some reason the cameras settings keep reverting back to "Internal Memory" after I power them off. Is there a way for them to stay on the "Memory Card" setting permanently? One of them stays on that setting and I believe it is the exact same model but I can't seem to find how to keep the settings. Thanks in advance

On PJ540 there seems to be no ac plugs I run it on battery and I had no problem of where it would revert back to internal memory after shot down. I guess try the same procedure on battery power and see if it still continues doing it? It really should not, unless there is a save button that needs to be pressed once you change your setting.
