I'd like to do another test at some point with DJI on 25mbps mode and both systems (I'm not going to bother with analog much more as I simply don't enjoy flying out any more!) flying together to give users a good idea of what it's like to fly in a mixed group and how to deal with that.

Thanks mate, Very slowly getting there... Glad you liked the video! I flippin' LOVE ELRS. Got nothing bad to say about it at all and wish I'd changed sooner. I SWEAR I can notice the difference between the 50hz I used to get flying Crossfire (I ran it on dynamic so it was rarely ever on 150hz) and the 500hz ELRS is. I put it down to the fact that I've extremely slow reactions, unlike most pilots who say they can't feel latency differences, and the fact that because my reactions are so incredibly slow, that I actually notice anything that changes my reaction-ability for better or worse. I'm sure that doesn't make sense and I'll think about how to explain that better and maybe include my thoughts on that in a future video at some point.

Thanks! And yes I get what you mean so I was trying to fly relatively slowly to show areas of breakup that if flying quicker, would probably be passed through without much issue. Yep, the VTX isn't small, but where there's a will, there's a way! Good luck with your build 😉🤞

There's advantages and disadvantages for all systems, analog included but HDZero is definitely catching up and for me, it's my favourite system. Glad you liked the video, thanks.

@@anthonyfpvminiquad1728 Yep, totally agree, and I did tell him a couple of times that the patches were facing well aware from the areas he was getting the most breakup. He's definitely a cool guy, and I'm glad he was willing to try out my gear too 😉

Oh he ALWAYS does when flying with other people. He's excellent at knowing and understanding how to make the systems all play nicely together. In fact in my next video testing a few different types of omni antennas on HDFZero, I'll be including some DJI footage of what it's like to fly this same location, same path, on 25mbps/700mW on DJI 😉

Thanks for the kind words! I was viewing the changes I was making in the goggles on screen display (OSD), but making the actual changes using the sticks on my radio to operate a feature that's built into the video transmitter (VTX). That's sounds complicated when you're a beginner but once you use it once or twice, it's not at all. Hope that helps answer that for you and happy flying! 🤘

Hey mate! Hope you're well and dry over there 😉 The HD02's don't have native 4:3 HDMI input, but the Skyzone 04X's do so I swapped to them so I could take advantage of the Micro V2 cameras as they're 4:3 switchable now.

@@eatyourvegfpv In your opinion are the skyzones better overall? Got the welly's on mate but definetly avoided the brunt of it unlike the poor guys further north.

@@eyederesman Yep, I much prefer the Skyzones in every single way. 100% If you're not in a hurry to change goggles immediately, it would be worth waiting for the HDZero goggles to come out... 😉 Glad you're safe mate. My daughter up in the Blue Mountains says she's sick of it having rained virtually all Summer there...

Hi, sorry for the slow reply! I haven't personally tried using HDZero on goggles with that sort of resolution but I'm sure you wouldn't experience the system at it's best so maybe consider the HDZero goggles when they come out in a few months time if budget allows?

Yes. If that's not done that 500mW and MAX cannot be selected in the stick menu.

Yep, you're correct. I did change the standoffs for some slightly taller ones to allow me to fit the VTX on top of the stack in the middle. This means that you can't use the carbon camera plates, so I just used some simple 3D printed camera mounts instead.

Hi! I find that mW for mW, HDZero outperforms analog. When there is breakup, I find it less distracting than analog breakup because analog also goes black and white often, then colours mess up etc. HDZero doesn't do that. HDZero definitely won't match your DJI setup in terms of range and/or penetration though. It has many other benefits though.

Yep I was hoping for a little better from 1W here too, but when. In the same room in this location, multipathing is horrific and analog is almost unusable so actually HDZero is doing extremely well there.
