"Olimpico," also known as "Ogni Pietra," or "Every Stone," was first performed in Italian by Dimash at the opening of the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus, on June 21, 2019, and yes, it is a battle cry aimed to inspire athletes at the upcoming games. They chose Igor Krutoy, the famous Russian composer, to write a special song and for Dimash to sing it to inspire and stimulate teams from all over Europe to do their best and give the games their all. That inspiration is exactly what he gives us when we watch this performance. You can easily find the English translation for “Olimpico” in Google search. The lyrics, and the song, are epic.
