Yup, Leica has one ( not sure if more?) Factories ( of the lenses) in Portugal and the quality is amazing !

Aussie dollars are funny money! Here in the US I got the regular Q2 (which is only different in how the body looks) for less than half of that! Given it was technically a used copy, but it was essentially mint condition with the original box and everything. Like all Leicas it is quite expensive, but easily the most well made and fun camera to use with brilliant results as well. While the video quality is really good, it's very unruly as a video camera for the obvious reasons you guys stated. But for photography it is an absolute joy, I can't help but want to take it with me almost everywhere I go. It's stylish, compact, powerful, and too much fun not to! There's other cameras out there that are similar or can do some things better, but they just do not hit the sweet spot the Q2 does.
