when my son was at primary the school said he looked starved and malnourished pediatrician said he was fine..don't worry schools don't have a medical degree x he's 21 now and still skinny

You could maybe get Andy like a gaming chair (the ones for the floor) or bean bag? that way he’ll be level with the table and will have a back to it too
I had the opposite with the wait thing! They told me that my lad was over weight for his age... Yes for his age he probably shouldn't be the weight he was... But my statement to them was his height for his age is too big, he's the height of a 15yr old and the weight of a 15yr old the build of a 15yr old so his weight all works out but the fact he's 12 means he's overweight for his age! It's 😣 I sent an email thru to them as I had his paediatric nurse tell me that he's perfectly fine and he's going to shoot up within the year!.... This was 2yrs ago and he has shot up, so he's now 5f6 and his weight has evened out! After that experience I opted out on them weighing my youngest as he has food issues and doesn't eat much, he's skinny totally opposite to his brother, plus he gets weighed and measured by the asthma clinic nurse every 6months so don't see a point in NHS coming and weighing him again!
For me him been even just in the normal weigh limit is amazing I have the same weigh issues with my son and even been just their is an amazing achievement xx
Mr muscle max gel un blocker is really good. I would recommend getting 2 bottles but a whole bottle down and leave for 5 minutes then wash it down. That should do the job if not stick another one down 👍
I get chest infections all the time haha!! As long as you don't do to much and if you start feeling breathless/more unwell I don't see why you can't go to the gym just take it easy to begin with and if your gym has a steam room I would recommend using that!!! You could get a stool. Like a heavy duty stepping stool. We have a tiny table like that at my house and the chairs suffered the same fate as well. So we changed it for small stepping stools and they work really well
Here in the states you can find T.V. trays in the shops it's like a personal dining table people use to eat at the sofa, that and his new chair might be a good combo?
Kevin have you ever tried a nebulizer... It helps alot with chest colds. Like that it gets it cleared.. if you do it 3-4 times a day. They give it to me when I have that problem... I hope you feel better and best luck finding a new chair for Andy.
I hope that this doesn't come across as rude. Does Anna struggle treating Andy like a young adult? It just comes across that way, and I know from my professional experience that many parents of children with disabilities struggle in this area.
Becca Sisson I think she probably just forgets how old Andy actually is since he obviously does some things that a person his age doesn’t necessarily do for example watching CBeebies, etc
Andys mental age is a lot younger as u under Stand so in some videos she trys to treat him as a adult but some days she just let's him be and treats him like a kid
I've just done some calculations and it could be a case of the school got it a bit mix up cos from what I have just read he was 6.8kg underweight so perhaps they ment he's 6kg underweight not that he's lost 6kg
One of my friends ended up with the cold for like 10 weeks! She had it for about 6 weeks and went to the doctor and they told her she had the cold then it went away then she got another one straight after and then it finally went away after 10 weeks!

Also, I agree with the other commenters - you definitely need to be fully well again before you can go back to the gym! And start up slowly again too. This illness has been going on for too long, you gotta take care of yourself!
If she shows up on the vlog in a few days with a couple of black eyes, you know why! And yeah, as much as I want to get fit, I think it probably makes sense to stay away from the gym until I’ve finished the course of antibiotics
I feel like its an autism thing to not be able to sit in a chair properly. I've never been able to do it, and I'm 18. I get in trouble all the time for putting my feet on furniture lol
Be very, very careful about going back to the gym before your chest infection has properly gone and your body has had a chance to recover. It's very easy for you to think you're well enough when you start feeling a little better, but if the infection is still in there and you start exercising you will be taking away energy your body needs to fight it and recover. I know a couple of people who have done something similar, and let the infection drag on and on. This can eventually lead to permanently weakening your chest, meaning you get horrible chest infections on a regular basis. For the sake of a little more frustration about not going to the gym, trust me its worth the caution.
I know what you mean, my school used to say that I was too skinny so did the kids but we are all built differently, my doctor says I’m fine I’m 17 now and still skinny haha
I wouldn’t worry about Andy’s weight too much. I’m 5’7” and 100 pounds, which is a lower BMI than Andy, but it doesn’t affect me .I agree that you shouldn’t be very concerned, unless he does lose weight.
I find it odd that the school is weighing him in the first place... Is that a constant thing or something you agreed upon? IDK, the school seems a bit nosey but then again I don't know the whole situation.. Much love you guys 🙏
My son is 15 know and has asd his in special school and there always saying this and that they do try and curse drama but i cover all basics know take photo how much he has in his lunchbox and make note his got no scratches or bruises just in case . Think somtimes take what the school says with a pinch of salt and shut the school down with maybe a food diary with how much fat and and suger and vitamins he has
It would probably make it worse. Considering Andy pretty much only eats crisps and the rare waffle or bread roll and only drinks pop, it would probably make it worse.
Whovian 67 as long as his eating food doesn’t matter I remember the midwife telling me that and it stuck with me at the end of the day his growing tall so his eating enough to make him grow I is the same problem with my son he was a picky eater
I mean the suggestion of a food diary, because you just see the minerals and stuff and not the amount of food if that makes sense. Like 1 bag of crisps might only have 0.005g of vitamins so Andy might eat 4 bags of crisps but won’t even have had 1 g of vitamins. On paper that doesn’t look to good.
Not necessarily. I have a cocker spaniel and he gets 3 walks a day. Each walk is always over and hour and his walk in the evening is always atleast 2 hours long. My dogs is always hyper and running around being a nuisance still

The Chapman Family my bloke had 2 types of antibiotics 3 trips to the doctors and the last vist I went up with a list of my bloke symptoms and he listened blood test the same day phone call from hospital the same day in hospital bone marrow test the next day to confirm Leukaemia he was in a month away from us his know in remission but the chemotherapy has knocked him for 6 mate make sure to tell them everything even if u don’t think series like bruising and rashes
I can understand the name change, im not fussed by it. But days like today when its 75% you and then abit on Andy and then abit on Anna showing off clothes makes it abit redundant? I don’t know how you would make it so its not just you as it is your channel, and having ‘The Chapman Family’ on the plaque makes alot of sense, but if this is the first vlog someone saw, its not a family its just mainly you!
The content isn’t going to be changing. Without Anna and Andy this video would have been just me going to the doctors. I’m always going to get more screen time than everyone else because I’m holding the camera

Diet is a big part of growth so living off crisps isn't ideal but he's also only 14 he'll get growth spurts as he goes through puberty genetics is also a big factor and his mom isn't very tall
I'm only 5ft 4 at full grown, my daughters predicted height based on mine and her dad's adult heights and her toddler growth pattern is between 4ft 6 and 5ft 1 and she's "healthy"
