Gary Moore is one of the best guitar players to have played rock/blues. Check out Gary playing The Messiah Will Come live at Montreux. Taj is 14 in this video. He turned 15 in May. Believe it or not, he plays this song Parisienne Walkways even better now. Taj is constantly improving and tweaking the songs when he plays. Sometimes, it's a little, and sometimes, it can be quite a bit. You can see Gary performing Parisienne Walkways live in Montreux, too. Taj is a very gifted guitar player, singer and songwriter for any age. Taj does play the guitar behind his back when he plays Purple Rain. The only time he didn't dovit when he played Purple Rain live was when he was in Minneapolis playing at the State Theater and he joined Prince's band NPG onstage and played Purple Rain with them. It was an incredible performance. If you want to listen to Taj sing and perform any SRV songs I suggest The Sky is Crying (maybe his Tulsa Oklahoma performance) or Texas Flood or Cold Shot. Taj has 6 original songs that have been released from his upcoming album. I suggest maybe Bad Trip or House Always Wins. He performed them a couple of days ago in New Jersey with Irene Blackman. She's the person who does all the background singing on Taj's album that will be released in August. He's touring the US and if he's at a venue near you I highly recommend you go see him. He won't be playing small venues much longer. The musicians he performs with are a band called Nathan Bryce and Loaded Dice. They were an established band when they signed on to support Taj. They open the shows for him and then join him for his set. Taj's sister plays drums and opens the show. Taj has amazing parents and they are all down to earth amazing people that support their kids.

His one million followers say the Guitar Savant Taj Farrant is the re-incarnation of SRV and several others. He was just called upon to do the tribute to Prince's Purple Rain. Taj plays the solo behind his head and he can play behind his back without even thinking about it since a wee child. Blindfolded too. But make no mistake, Taj is no youtube trickster. This master maestro singer songwriter wrote 6 back to back blues originals off his upcoming debut album. All singles charted #1 on itunes. And it does get better. He can play the whole song with improvisations and land right back on melody every time broken strings and all.I believe he may hold the record for the longest sustained note. He's 15.
