Jeff Van Gandy...Was Sooo ''Smart'' as a Coach...He was the One who ''gave sooo motivation ''to ...MJ23...and we all Know the results, For the NY knicks( I Really enjoy that...thnks MJ for Your Show....), and also the One who never gave a chance to Bill...and we saw That almost Won alone The USA Team with All Big Stars....!!!!Sooooo ''smart''...But i believe that if Bill had Joined the Spurs the results would be different...Anyways...For Us..the OLYMPIAKOS FUNS...THnKS Jeff...KILL BILL Is an Idol For Giannis and Luca...so as a result, we can say tha Van Gandy was so wrong and Bill used it to become a Living Legend in EUROPE....!!!!
Nice video! I have watched Spanoulis through the years and I remember a whole lot of times that he used his speed to dig in and either score or magnetize players to finally give an assist to his teammates, but in the most of the highlights I've watched they only portray him as a clutch shooter. It is nice that you did your research!
You have to give him his respect, playing against team usa is the toughest/ hardest competition in the entire world because if you know basketball, when does any single player in professional basketball get guarded by multiple all nba players in a single game, he DEFINITELY would of made it in the nba but a coach like van gundy on that rockets team was a TERRIBLE fit for Spanoulis. He would of been a great offensive point guard during that time remember he's 6'4 at that time that was considered very good size at the point guard position in the nba
In U.S, basketball is a sport, In EU, sports are war! This player requested a trade in the rival team Olympiacos in 2010, and since then his former team(Panathinaikos) would curse, boo, insult him until his retirement. You dont get that in U.S Sports. Even the president of his former team, when he won the championship on a game winner against them, he went to the locker room and cursed him and his family to die because he lost against the former player of their own team. U.S sports are more commercialized. Hence the bigger paychecks.
Spanoulis made championships winning shots in a hostile and not safe environment...20000 thousand people booing and curse him and he just kill them...lets see if steph can do this...
@@Gk-vs2fh fax I give you that but curry could slay in Europe his 3 point percentage in fiba is 44% I don't see why he can't win if golden state played any fiba team in a series gs wins 4-0 and that's with fiba rules agreed
@@sarsvfx im not talking about statistics....there is no doubt that curry is the greatest 3point shooter ever...im just talking about basketball cohones ...steph wouldn't even dare to shoot in such a hostile evriroment like Greece's stadiums...he would shit his pants
3:40. It is truly amazing that the court I grew up playing basketball on appears on a youtube video. That is my towns gym, back when our team was in Greece's first division and players like Spanoulis came as visitors. Those were good times
Van Gundy? That was last year of Van Gundy as a coach because of his disastrous management. He became journalist after that. He said on the first day to Spanoulis “Europeans dont play on their first year with me you will be on the bench watching”. And it was his last year as coach. But Spanoulis made the mistake to not go to Spurs next year.
an unbelievable player with a huge career and very loved but for me his greatest success is his family and his 6 children. he is a living example for young children
