My father had vascular dementia. It is a very cruel condition that slowly robs a person of the ability to remember or reason. I have the deepest sympathy for any family going through what my family went through.
As someone who is living with and watching a very much loved husband slowly change and his wonderful personality disappear with this horrendous disease Vascular Dementia, I can testify that the decisions we have to make for their best interests and well being are not taken lightly, in fact they are very hard decisions to make. I know that one day I will lose my best friend, the man I hope to grow old with - it's incredibly heart-breaking. To be accused of neglect or putting Norman in a home just so they could have his home, money & possessions must have been horrendous for his family. People are so quick with their judgements on things and situations they know nothing about.
I think his family did everything they could during a very difficult time! I loved Norman wisdom as a child i would sit for hours watching a film of his it was a real family occasion maybe on a Sunday afternoon, my mum and dad and older brother we would all enjoy his films it was good old innocent laughter! ❤
