I was about 24 when I met my future husband. He started talking with me about marriage within the first year. He admitted to me later, marriage was on his mind within the first six months. We were married by the end of our second year of meeting. Still married many decades later.
I was just telling my homegirls, because we're black women we have to heighten and increase our standards and stay true to them because of what we're up against.
Right! His loss-- we can only be with ONE man, and my one man will love black women and who he is. I'm not attracted to black men who are that lost and CONTROLLED by WS and the affects there of, pitiful and definitely not a spiritual leader.
Go where you’re celebrated. Rejection is redirection and all that means is that he’s not the man for you. God knows what he’s doing and makes no mistakes. @@GoodGrief101 I Agree with you and the other poster right above me. I've dated a WM before and he was no different than any other man I dated before him for the most part. And my best friend's daughter's father is one and he's no good at all. I feel like a lot of BW have a false narrative about WM being extremely great. And that's definitely not true. Men are men. Some are great and some are not. Nothing to do with race.
I hate it when people that don’t look like me say that racism doesn’t exist. I had a coworker that tried to argue with me about it. This past summer, someone spray painted the N word and swastikas in front of my families place, but racism doesn’t exist🤔

Very true of what Tony said. What a great clear explanation! 👏🏿 I'm from Haiti. Born, raised, graduated HS, came to USA for sole purpose to go to college. Mind you, I had options, the other was going to France because I speak French. I left my country with confidence knowing its history; grew up seeing Black presidents and officials. We even had a female president. Here in where I live, white ppl accept me more. They see me as an exotic person. Plus, I'm an educated and thriving individual. A Bachelor & a Master degree later, I landed a great job. I'm single with no kids. Not looking down on those who have. I loooove black men. But the African American men I dated always tried to compete with me like they have something to proove to society but took it out on me. I've dated White, Asian, Latino men who seem to accept me more. I also relate more with African men. No Caraibean men in where I live. I've been trying to move. God keeps telling me "not yet". Anyway, I have some level of understanding what African Americans go through. But nobody needs to be with someone who hate his own race.

there are an abundance of black men who hate their blackness here in Canada aswell 😒 the black woman slander is exhausting here.... and its not hidden they're very loud about their "preferences".
African Americans created the opportunities everyone else was able to “come” here to obtain, but we were deterred at every turn from taking advantage of the very opportunities we created. Nonetheless, we continue to strive against all deterrents. Others can look down upon us, but we will conquer and overcome no matter what it may look like today. It’s coming.

I’m so glad I looked at this video because it was really entertaining. On a more serious note, I really appreciate the way Tony goes far and wide to try to get women to have a better understanding of why men make the choices that they do. Ultimately I think it produces compassion for what others are dealing with and gives women a more clear lens with which to view their relationships.
The main difference between Black Americans and other Blacks in terms of marrying their own women in the US is that those Blacks, Islanders and Africans is that there is not a majority White race in the islands or in most Black, African countries. As you said, there is no master to look upon. As a result, they have a healthier self esteem.

All Black people; males and females alike experience racism, barriers and harsh disparities. What’s really sad and perplexing is that Black women recognize the plight of Black men and feel responsible for standing up for them, loving them and for protecting and preserving the Black race but somehow Black males do not seem to feel any kind of connection or responsibility for their race in any way, form or fashion. In addition, how can Black men look down on Black/their own women when Black women are out here killin the game, surpassing everybody of every other race in education and in business! 🤷🏾♀️

Im happy that your mom and granny said what they said about not being with women outside your race...your mom taught u to love your skin and adore the black woman...if more black mothers would do this with there black sons...u wouldn't see all of this self hate and our black men marrying outside there race...it starts at home with why these black men do what they do and merry who they marry...i taught my son that same lesson how to value the women who looks like your mother and put her on a pedestal i wouldn't allow him to bring me anything else...and he is 22 and married a beautiful chocolate woman...he is also handsome. Facts. FACTS! TONYYYYYYYY. Facts about black men, white women, black women and women of other races. Speak to Truth Tony! I lovvvvve your realness. Black men put women from different races on a higher pedestals. 2 examples. I was in college studying to be a dentist. I had a white lab partner. She asked a black man who was a student in our class to get her a snack from the vendor machine. Since he was getting her something, I asked if he can get me a snack and had him thr money unlike her. He told me to call "Tyrone" to get me a snack. Right in front of her. I was so embarrassed. I have white friends that told me that black men begged them to have their children so their children can have fair skin and good hair.
If you waited more than 3 years, and then got married. No need to mention it here he settled because he couldn’t find a replacement. When he does, he’ll he filing for divorce and married without the ink being dried.
Or he’ll stay settled and just cheat the entire time until the wife finds out and she leaves. For some reason it seems most men don’t like to file for divorce.
