I can't believe Dave's handicap hasn't dropped. The new irons look fantastic he really seems confident with them. I would put money on Dave in a Sunday Medal. Great job Chris it is and has been a fun ride watching you work with Dave.
I watched the previous video of Dave's fitting with SGGT and went for my own driver, fairway and hybrid fitting yesterday at SGGT Edinburgh. No replacement for my current driver as it couldn't be beaten. However a new 3 wood that I can now get in the air, no change to my current 7 wood and a new 5 hybrid to fill a gap in my top end and help me reach optimum height for my swing speed therefore increasing land angle. A brilliant experience and many thanks to James at SGGT Edinburgh for his time and patience.
Garforth is such a beautiful course and it looks like Dave is going to be able to enjoy it more now by scoring less on it...especially when the new driver arrives. I wonder if you might be better doing Dave's shot tracer in white, yellow and blue for his beloved Utd? 💪 Well done to you, SGGT and of course Dave...a very successful fit for everyone!
Hi Chris enjoying the channel your question what’s changed in the bag? Well I’ve changed everything I put a lot of it down to RU-vid. I’ve moved to Calloway Apex Star max irons with steel fibre shafts Smith works wedges Eleven blaster 64°, Ping for 10 K max and the lab putter the whole bag is set up to help me round the golf course and it’s really doing a great job. Things got much better with regards to my handicap and I feel confident with all the clubs even though it’s a bit of a mashup.
Another great video and good to see the journey and improvements that Dave has made. On a separate point Chris you were recommending the new Wilson Triad ball and I was intrigued and gave them a go which I've found to work well for me - could you do a comparison video of the Wilson Triad vs Titleist ProV1 x as I'm seriously considering changing across and it would be good to see the actual data - many thanks.
Coming off of back fusion surgery, no changes. I might do a driver and fwy wd fitting later in the year. Interesting in Triple Diamond Max and PXG Black OPS.
I’ve stuck with my Ping G425 driver, 3 and 5 fairway woods, 4 hybrid and stealth graphite irons. No reason to change atm. Great to see Dave putting well, striking his irons brilliantly (great height) and getting a few drivers away, can’t wait to see the new driver in action
This year I got my first ever fairway wood. 18 degree 230Max. And a huge CBX2 60 degree full face wedge, already nicknamed 'frying pan' for the truly awful lies. Hardly gives me any feedback but sure gets the rescue job done every time I need it to.
I'm glad Dave is getting on well with the new irons. Driver is a fickle mistress. Might have to just pick one and stick with it. It's probably making it worse using so many options. Pick one and coach him up with it.
I got new PXG Driver Black Ops in 10 1/2 and seven to PW in Black Ops forging irons and got those in Two degrees upright. Today going in for a fitting in the PXG hybrids to get my gapping right for yardage and ordered two new wedges from Cleveland in 54 & 58, CBX4 with graphite shafts two degrees upright and my new irons are also graphite
Did well getting Dave out of the caravan !! Mr Gray has a new club ! Bigger & better than the old one , Doesnt always work out thou , Ask Mr Philips , Good luck with the clubs
Daves driver going higher and irons straighter? Single figures next? I've just invested in a Taylormade Bnr Mini Driver. Beautiful looking thing, so far so good on performance. Keeping the Ping G425 Max in case it all goes pear shaped. Great channel Chris.
I really like this series. I hit the ball slightly further than Dave and have found that playing with 11 clubs gives me proper gapping and helps with longer distance club choices on the course. Curious if the top end of his bag has a little too much overlap?
Chris I just wanted to know I have a tendency to like all sudden forget how to hit clubs right I have 1 or 2 bad holes every round what do you think I can do about that Thanks Chris
Have Mr Harrison put some protective tape on top of his driver and fairways to prevent getting grilled for years by a RU-vidr I won't mention the name of.
Mid handicap Dave is luckier than this Dave. I’m told about four weeks until my new fitted arrive. Took a while to get there, now they can’t come quick enough.
He sure pisses away a ton of money on equipment for a few less shots 😳 Next year whats he going to do , Piss away more money on another fitting ? Had my last set for over 13-15 years, just got fit last year for PXG's ( full bag & my retirement present ) will play these till I die !!!! I feel it takes a few seasons to get accustomed to new equipment and all the nuances , but people think its all the arrows fault and not the Indian !!! I took out all my fit clubs that are 32 years old custom fit Kenneth Smith blades and wedges my 40 year old fit Ping eye2 driver and 3 wood out last Friday and shot 3 over on my local course and with my PXGs I shoot minus 2 to 3 over with them.( I haven't played them in a LONG time ) Its not the equipment !!!
So you do fittings and sell clubs and this proves that.buying clubs and having fittings makes you better😂. Get real people, you know this is bullshit, look around at the mugs you play with....
