First, I doubted a „Jonathan/Andrew thing“ could possibly be that serious, then I reached the part in the vid. It almost felt like I could feel my literal face melting off, by god it was that bad.
My mom does this all the time lmao. She'll call me by my brother's name, then get flustered and call every other boy name in the family and finally get to mine. Only usually she knows immediately that she said the wrong name.
Elon deflecting every single question with something he definitely believes is a profound quote and then doing 1000 yard stare is honestly one of the most pathetic things I’ve ever seen.
can we not agree that selling advertising basically means having money to spend on ads means you can censor public forums? i dont think that will have a good impact on the world.
The advertisers are just speaking with their dollars. That's two things that Elon _supposedly_ loves; free speech and capitalism. You can't cry and moan when your own words, that you post on the site you bought, have consequences. If he was actually a good businessman and a marketer, he'd find a way to sell the product that is X to both consumers and advertisers. Instead he's utilizing one of the only two tools he has (the other being pure money); his rabid fanbase. As long as he says something that's supposedly really bad-ass but actually sounds petty and bratty, his simps will gobble it all up when he shifts the blame on advertisers for his own bad choices and management. Most of the world is not on his side though; his support keeps shrinking and becoming more extreme. He just can't see the world beyond his Twitter bubble.
It's gonna be hilarious to see what you idiots have to say in like a year or two when Twitter is somehow doing just fine despite not having to be blackmailed by scumbag leftist companies.
@@LuminousreignTwitter has somehow devolved into a bigger cesspool than pre-Elon Twitter. It’s hilarious to me how he boasts about hate speech/violence on the platform decreasing. Yet you can’t log on without seeing it everywhere
Why would he get applause? The people in the audience are full of the type of people he's saying f u to. Come on bro, you're being like Musk, think before you type.
He constantly claims that he doesn't care what anyone thinks, but it's funny how he looks for the crowd's approval after literally everything he says. He can't say anything without saying it to the crowd and pausing, hoping for an applause. He got visitably more awkward the more he realized the people in that room were not feeling what he was saying.
Idk I've seen him do interviews and say some crazy stuff honestly, he is super opinionated and knows he doesn't need people to back him because he doesn't give a shit if you do or don't
@@MGnKntkY not really, I actually don't like Tesla cars and I think they're a step back in the industry, it's funny how the Internet goes directly to insults first always funny to see. I agree on free speech and the way it should be done. It's been proven this big giants are trying to control the way you think or feel using AI in ways to sell you products or affect how you want to view or see content. I agree that stuff like this needs to be under control because of how bad it's gotten over the last few years.
@@MGnKntkYhes talking to the crowd as well as the person interviewing him. Stop claiming he's afraid of saying what he wants to when he does it 1 on 1 and he does it to a whole crowd
@@andrewsnow3973 Okay but remember what he is fighting for. The right to be horribly antisemetic and not grow past the animalistic connotation of "different = scary."
Yeah but this case is even worse. It's like Elon Musk took a dump in a small locked room full of billionaires and is trying to push the blame on someone else. He keeps acting like he is completely impervious to his own actions. He is the master of kindergarden playground politics
The way he turns his head to face the crowd, seeking approval for his 'edgy' or 'badass' statements is legitimately the most pathetic thing I've probably ever seen. That deflection of blame is insane too like imagine running a food store and pinning 100% of the blame on the customer (for not coming in and buying your rotten-ass fruit) for your company going out of business lmao
@@kphaxx he wasn't just in a room with grownups, he was at the DealBook summit, one of the most exclusive events for business leaders. Everyone in that room was a suit in a billion dollar company's C suite. He wasn't surrounded by his usual rabid fanbase of sad, stupid nerds with a superiority complex living vicariously through him, but by really smart and successful people.

Blackmailing with money is another way of saying, I don't want to do business with you if you do something I don't like. Elon Musk does that on a daily basis, all companies do that.
There using a heavily fabricated report from media matter to justify the ads there pulling meanwhile Disney thanks the Providence in China that keeps the Uyghur Muslim in labor camps and apple walks by pretending that problem doesn't exist
didn't he literally do that by buying around 50% of twitters stock and then threatening to pull out that stock unless hes ceo or something? or am i mistaken
@@mariomaker69420 Nope, he tried to back out of buying the stock in the first place. If he had actually bought 50+% of twitter (or any company for that matter) he'd be the majority owner and could do basically whatever he wanted, including making himself CEO.
@@mrmcawesome9746he tried to back out, cause when he did his investigations into the users, he found they were at least 40 to 50% bots. And that is why he overspent.
yeah, hard to believe his whole “i bought twitter to save humanity” shtick when he had to be forced into buying it by a lawsuit after spending like 6 months publicly trying to get out of the deal. most expensive impulse buy of all time
@@kwastimusyea. Cause he realized the users, which we all know is where the money gets defined, was full of bots. Up to 40 to 50%. And realized it was worth at the most half of what he said he would buy it for. Look up this stuff. It's readily available information.
lol, I wonder what his employees think after hearing him say shit like that. I mean damn, I run a small company and I have to be so positive and optimistic about things to keep team moral up. I do treat my team good I think, and part of that is helping them to achieve their own goals. Imagine just being like "enjoy being blackmailed into slavery by me, you cuck".
@@blindmown Given how badly Xitter has bee hemorrhaging employees I think morale is a trainwreck. But you never know. Maybe he's pumping them so full of pizza they can't feel emotions.
He’s not breaking eye contact because he’s lying. He’s doing it because he gets off on the crowd’s reaction. Nothing is more important to him than his image and ego
@@lnoobe First 2 sentences. He is mainly an introvert, I don't believe introverts get off on the crowd. Not breaking eye contact can mean many things, but means nothing without way more supporting stuff. Last sentence I can 100% believe for billionaires
He broke the eye contact cause he knows the people in the crowd, and especially the people on the internet who will watch this clip, is way more important than the dickhead interviewing him.
@3darkdescents537 Have you seen any of the actions taken by this man? Introverted is a stretch, he can claim that he is one, but his actions line up more with a narcissist. He has made many bad business decisions "for the lolz", aka seeking attention and approval from his fan base.
I love how Elon was basically saying that the responsibility for Twitter being profitable is not on him, its actually on Disney and Apple. Like wtf ahah Its your job to make Twitter profitable, its their job to make their companies profitable. There is no moral obligation to support Twitter aha
“Let’s see what the earth says to that.” Genuinely what does he mean by this. Does he believe his shit business decision to buy an unprofitable company, make it worse, and blame everyone but himself….. that it’ll go down in history?
I'd like to agree with you but the issue is that the people that make Twitter such a dumpster fire will not stop existing They will migrate to another place and turn it racist, antisemitic and overall extremely toxic, forcing their presence and hate on the people that were already there Worst case scenario they will 'contaminate' everything there is and instead of limiting everything that's wrong with humanity to one social media like Twitter/X, it will radiate through everywhere on the internet like a cancerous growth
It's so funny how he thinks he comes off as cool when he's like "Fine, stop advertising." When in reality he sounds more like a little kid who didn't get what he wanted like "Fine i didn't want it anyway!"
How is having a strong conviction like being like a little kid? He doesn't say "fine I didn't want it anyway" but rather "I want it and I need it but not at cost of free speech"
@@borzydar1196If you can’t tell how Elon came off like a spoiled child from the clip then you’re likely a spoiled child. Elon is a manchild with thin skin who can’t take accountability for his own actions
@@borzydar1196 Except for when he folded over to censoring free speech because of vague threats from totalitarian governments that the past twitter just ignored with zero consequences coming from it.
@@hunnidracksnick528 pretty sure user numbers are down by about half, AND the time users that are on there still is down as well. It's dying a slow expensive death, Elon would just rather it dies quickly at this point and hopes he can trick at least some people into believing it was "totally not his fault" for whatever his next project is...
@@esmeecampbell7396 check the stock market mate instead of trying to make shit up. the stock market is the reality of a company : if stock plummets they lose money , if it climbs they make money. and the stock market right now says that he's doing fine. he bought twitter october 27 2022 : 55$ share on the stock market it plummeted in march 2023 down to 33$ which is when all the leftist medias went like "haha musk ruined twitter" and now its at 54$ , today 1st december 2023 , so back to the price he bought it. So the users being down by x or y is completely irrelevant. Because twitter has the exact same value on the stock market right now than when he bought it. You can go check the stock market if you want. You're welcome
I like how when he says something outrageous like “the people will blame the advertisers for killing the company” and “tell it to the judge” he can’t hold eye contact with the interviewer because even he doesn’t believe what he’s saying
This mfr has rocketed right by first and started referring to himself as the entire actual planet in third person. Elon thinks he’s Post-Earth and hasn’t even made it to the Moon yet.
@@overman2306 You are probably right, but the average person probably has no fucking clue what autism really is besides a vague idea that got completely corroded by the internet using it as an insult for the last 20 years.
@@Dschonathan His autism is why he's able to run so many companies, tweet all the time and still find time to play video games. The downside is they lack in social skills. However, I think that's a good thing nowadays. Too many people in positions of power have a public opinion that is different from their private opinion. Elon's public opinion and private opinion are the same. His autism keeps him honest, whether people like it or not.
It's so funny how he is saying "don't try and blackmail me" to disney and then using blackmailer language to say "if twitter fails you are the reason why and everyone will know it" with the implication that they will suffer publicly for that
@@sayantanmazumdar3good job on defending Disney, warner bros, and countless other beyond terrible companies. You just like them because they pat you on your back, while stealing millions and millions away from smaller mom and pop companies.
I think the silliest thing is that he's calling it an attack on free speech as if the advertisers don't also have the freedom to associate with whoever they want. How is free speech being forced to give Elon Musk money? Free speech is having a choice on how you advertise and who you advertise through. He self-identifies with the platform so strongly now that he identifies a loss of advertising on his company as an attack on his personal right to free speech. Wild.
no , he just refuses to let companies tell him he should censor everything that doesnt agree to their narrative. Which he considers against free speech.
@voidroad He's saying these companies are attacking his right to free speech. They're if anything exercising their own rights to freely speak through whatever platform they wish.
@@voidroad"Yeah, I don't really want my brand being advertised next to someone complaining about 'hordes of minorities flooding the country'" "Oh, so you hate free speech?"
@@voidroad It's not like they're asking Twitter to stop anyone from talking about a political party, just don't let people post Hitler quotes and expect advertisers. It's not even that political, it's simply that people don't want to click on an ad right after reading the worst sentence they've seen in their life, so Twitter is the worst place to advertise.
yeah I was also confused.. almost everybody ive seen thought this proves that Elon has actually lost it and that this is pretty much the start of a downhill to zero. And not just for twitter/x. I just hope they fire him as the CEO of Tesla so people can still drive the Teslas that are out there
I work for an advertising agency, and we have a lot of huge clients that are publicly traded. It's very rare that projects come to us spending much on Twitter/X. The other platforms are just significantly better with ad serving, targeting, measurement, etc.
I love how Elons response is confidently just "the public will believe me, and believe the advertisers were at fault" when it will, I almost guarantee, go down in history as his own blunder.
Step out of your echo chamber. The public is sick of the 100 companies that are pulling the advertising. There are countless businesses who will want to advertise on x.
Whether or not people are sick of the companys pulling from x, fortune 500 companies and others that are either straight up pulling their advertisements from x or lowering the amount of adds spaces they purchase is were the majority of money is. Yes X will still get advertizers but they have are burring under $40billion of debt right now and need to heavily increase their revenue if they want any hope of digging them selves out of it which any advertiszers pulling out does not help.@@andrewsnow3973

depends on where you get these videos from tbh. I get it from fintwit and well.. they are more or less only business focused and many felt that Elon was losing his shiet when they saw this video lol. And tbh he does act like a 12 year old kid that is tilted on league of legends and is like "youll know why we lost this game and its not because of me" ..
I feel like Elon only ever says things that are good clips with no context and always pauses like "you may clap now." People make a fatal flaw when someone is really good at something like getting us to Mars they assume he must be also good at running a social media platform lol its why people are experts in a handful of similar fields not a modern renaissance man.
Every single answer was Elon dodging the question and saying something dumb that he thinks sounds cool and will get clipped and then stares into the distance
