Becki, we NEED to see how you even organize, edit and decide on how to make these edits. As a fellow editor I am just blown away every single time on the work in both filming these AND editing them. What a monumental story to have to sift through! I mean you have so many cameras filming simultaneously! You deserve a streamy award!
Would love even a sneak peak into the process. I’m newish to video and editing. And I struggle with a 1 minute video haha and Becki is out here putting feature films out faster than I can finish a reel. But I am absolutely inspired!
Becki and Chris, your storytelling in this series is truly exceptional. The audio design, including the music and voiceover work, is nothing short of outstanding. It's evident that your hard work and passion shines through in everything that you have produced. See you next week! 🚁
This is the best episode you created. It seems to be a tv-documentation!!! So professional. Love it, thank you let us all be part of your adventure ❤❤❤
Excellent job at showing a human side to flying. This should be a Discovery etc channel show. Pure truth and no drama. Thanks for taking the time, again excellent!
Becki, I am so impressed with the amount of angles you pull together for this. A real professional look and feel, but knowing it’s all you is mind blowing! Congrats on another fantastic series! 👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you!
Having flight anxiety myself, I can only say that Becky was really brave in this one. I’m sad this series is going to end but I’m looking forward to new projects as well.
Have loved this journey. @trentpalmer is great, he has inspired me to get my ppl and interest in STOL. I truly want to get both a rotar and fixwing so this is such a fun combo for me. Im 50 so Im a little late in the adventure but have been procrastinating for years and now I have a plan thanks to channels like both of you have created. Thanks for the great and inspiring content. I grew up flying in my Dads 172 cessna as a kid and after his heart attack when i was 11 I set aviation inspiration aside until a few years back.. Now i am ready. Thanks to both of you.
I absolutely love your production quality! Watching these videos makes me forget that this is "just a RU-vid" channel, and not a major studio production.
Just watched this again. . Becki, your fear at times is palpable, like a video I watched recently of an experienced skydiver whose canopy tangles. The viewer feels the terror watching his GoPro video as he plummets. But, it is knowing what to do that allows him to free and save himself at the last moment. Fear is in the unknown. Danger is in the unknown. With the person in the middle of a fearful situation, it is only knowledge that makes the difference. Panic is replaced by calm, danger is replaced by solution. Your wonderful interview with your bush pilot friend Trent, touched on this. He talks about his fear of heights, now he’s on incredible flying adventures. All this to say, what a great series it would be, watching you, with the same fears, the same ‘I don’t have the noodle for that stuff,’ the ‘I don’t trust myself,’ lack of confidence, probably shared by the majority of your viewers,… as you earn your pilots license. You’ve already picked up so much being Chris’ navigator. And you couldn’t have a more conscientious and detail oriented prep guy than Chris. Trent put it well, the knowledge and taking control completely changed his fear. Think about how it would change your experience on these amazing adventures. You could do it. ✌🏼🙂
Guys, I just love watching your adventures, but I could just as easily watch you painting a wall with the same level of enjoyment. You make me want to start making videos again. ❤ thanks for being you.
Epic cross countries are the best. They always remain with you. My personal one ( to date) was an An-2 I purchased as a fresh rebuild in Poland. Did the test flying and hit the road to Norway, then Iceland, Greenland, Goose Bay and Nova Scotia. Hand flying a big ol biplane over the ocean. I never saw one in person until I saw the one I bought. Prior to it's rebuild, it hadn't flown in a long period. Anxiety at times, yup, especially past points of no return where you're committed to destination. Congrats on your personal cross country journey !
I’m really enjoying this series. I enjoy aviation vicariously through you guys, Trent, and a few others… thanks so much for sharing your adventures, how you feel, the decisions you make… the whole thing. Great story telling. Thank you!
Long time watcher, first time caller. Love this series. I did my flight training a couple years back in a Top Cub and got my Private Pilot Cert right over the hill from Trent at Flying Eagle Airpark where my family lives. (Next to the glider port you guys flew over) Landed on Dead Cow before I even had my cert! Incredible country but it teaches you to respect the afternoon winds and the intenseness of the Sierra Nevadas, especially in a tail wheel. Can’t wait to keep watching this series. Ya’ll are the best.
Another masterpiece! My 2 favourite aviation RU-vidrs! Both great creators! Everything again so well told. Way to go Becki and Trent overcoming your anx and fears to create these stories. ❤❤❤❤❤🚁➕🛫 looking forward to more!
This whole series is beautifully made. A thorough joy to watch. I make sure I have the time to watch it, no rushing these episodes. Huge congrats to you both on a great job.
Another amazing episode. Landing at KHAF made me smile, it was the first flight sim airport I visited on Flight Unlimited 2 back in the early 00's when we got the first family PC, and have flown in to it in every sim I have had since. I really want to visit it in real life, preferrably flying myself in. Bit of a pipe dream at the moment (major concerns about travelling to the US, me being trans and all). The scenery is superb and flying low over the beach, UNDER the Golden Gate, holy crap! I never expected to be able to do something like that. Trent seems like a decent chap (I had gotten that impression from his YT channel), I'm rather envious of his house and runway! Honestly I just wanted to give Becki a hug after that, you put yourself through the wringer thats for sure,
This is my new favorite aviation channel...your production values are great, you're not constantly trying to sell stuff, and it's genuinely really interesting and fun to live vicariously through y'all
Also the pass, is crazy wild. It was amazing to see the footage of it from your viewpoint. We drive 80 and drive in those mountains so much it’s like daily exposure. We forget how incredible these mountains are here and the beauty of the Sierras sometimes. Driving 80 over the pass in winter is wild and scary sometimes.
Your storytelling is fantastic. These could be on Netflix or something. I can’t imagine The amount of hours you must’ve spent editing this project. Truly an underrated channel. Great work you two I’m enjoying the ride!
What a small world! I cannot believe you met Trent out in Reno. I have been following both of your journeys for a long time and hope to aspire similar dreams. Chris/Becki, thank you for your channel, I have learned so much about flight planning and airspace due to you. Please keep the videos coming!
So glad you got to experience the Reno/Tahoe area and all the Sierras. Thanks for taking me home to the Carson Valley as a recognized almost every dirt road below you and knew exactly where you were. Amazing Series!
the production, the story telling, the editing, the cinematography. Top. Notch. I love every part of this, it is an awesome series, I'll be sad to see it end, but excited for the next phase.
Thank you Becki and Chris and Trent. What a wonderful couple of days. I have had the most wonderful time, flying with you and listening to the informative banter along the way. Of course Trent's hangar is now complete, and your landing skid has probably been erased in the final completion. Never mind, we know about it. Thank you all.
Awesome video. I love seeing Trent, and you guys get to fly together, considering your two channels are solid in my top 5 channels to watch. Hope to see you 3 get together again soon.
I’m always in aaahhhh watching your content. Also more amazing to have a total internet stranger be as passionate as you and become such great friends. It showed in every interaction, just beyond amazing🖤
Hahah, our buddy brought us up in a Cessna 172 last year and I got so damn nauseous, I seriously applaud your ability to film while swaying around up there. Blahhh lol @@BeckiandChris
Your whole trip across America has been fantastic to follow, right up there with Mauzy. I think your video work is top notch: the late afternoon flight to Atlanta, landing at Roy's and then in the dunes, and under GG bridge just looked awesome. Well done, you. Loved your interview with Trent Palmer, whose videos I've been watching for years.
Hey Guys - Have been following since your beginning (almost😉). Loved this epic adventure, love how Becky shares her planning process. Somehow, I missed this episode - when you’re in my backyard! Half Moon Bay is our playground, a lovely community- we hope you’ll visit again and stay longer😘
Thanks again for another amazing video and series guys! Such a great watch and so entertaining from minute 1. Getting to accept the no fly choice is such a great thing to apply to general life. Not just flying. No point dwelling on things that we have no control over. Kepe up the amazing videos! Can't wait for the next one. Lot is love from fans in South Africa.
I lived near San Luis Obispo so it was super cool to see places I recognize as well others areas around California. I've driven over the Golden Gate but definitely never flown under it! Loving this series!
I just wanted to hug Becki all through that (in a non-creepy way of course). What a trip, adventure and my God can these guys throw down as documentary makers!!
Becky-good for you! You may not have a passion for aviation which may add to your fear, but you have a passion for story telling. And you have a passion for Chris and his passions. Great combo for all of us.
Another great installment in the series. Those STOL planes look so fun. Sad you didn't get to make it to Utah. We want to get down there next summer with our camper.
Wow! You guys made it to my neck of the woods, SoCal. I Got my wings at Long Beach (KLGB) I've done a lot of flying up and down the coast. It was great seeing familiar terrain in your mini documentaries. I've been following Trent on his channel so, seeing you two together was a treat. Now I can skip over to his channel to see what he put together. Love your channel. Keep'm coming!
Thanks again guys for another great video,, or should I say thanks Beaky for making everyone of these videos happen. Excellent video, work, scenery, knowledge to help everyone who is interested in learning about flying, filming and RU-vid stuff to be truly inspired. Thanks again I’m going to really miss your flying videos so much while you’re Ma-lean-E-Om Falcon is in the shop for a complete rebuild.
Fabulous episode! The scenic shots were as good as ever, just beautiful. But in this one I really enjoyed the interview you included with your bush pilot friend. It allowed us to connect once again with the great people you meet along the way. Looking forward to the next one, and so sad the series is coming to the end. ✌🏼
1020 hour gyroplane (x between STOL & helicopter!! LOL) pilot here ...I SO relate to all Trent has to say.... I have wanted to "fly like an eagle" since I was a toddler ! Had my first aircraft lesson & flight in a gyro in 2011 - hooked & total passionate "experimental" builder/pilot ever since!
Superb episode, some stunning scenery. Amazing how little 'runway' the bush plane requires! Loved the comedy moments and the flight under the Golden Gate Bridge was superb!
Someone needs to come up with a heat sink for the ipad for you. Or maybe that is a video series for you all to make. I just love these series so much. Thank you for taking us along.
Can't believe you guys stopped in Auburn! That's my hometown! There are a couple of awesome breweries next door to the airport if you ever find yourself back there again.
