Terrible advice telling someone to quit their ‘shit’ job. Is he going to find success overnight? Who will pay his bills and look after his family if he doesn’t?
Well to be fair you would be amazed, you will discover a new gear in your motivation when you put yourself in a back against the wall type of situation. Taking risks is part of the game. Finding a "shit job" again aint that difficult.
@@ramazaninanli8423 in the best case scenario you may find another job and wait 1-2 months to be paid. For someone with no savings this could cause homelessness. I do understand what Simon is trying to achieve but this is not the way to go about it
He was especially receptive to your advice, he definitely has the passion within him, I'd love to see him fulfill his dream! Simon inspired me to start my own RU-vid channel finding every animal in the UK and it's already changed my life for the better. FOLLOW HIS ADVICE PEOPLE!!!
@@GetBlitzedSideWayseveryone starts somewhere. The channel is aweasome, and I have been a follower since quite recently. By the way, I particularly loved the video about the Goatsucker! It is growing, and our friend is clearly putting a lot of effort there, minding his own business. If you did the same, I bet you’d be happier and much less of a prick, as your own comment so tells about you. Have a good one!
@@GetBlitzedSideWays yeah of course, I've learnt so many new skills and it's so much fun and incredibly rewarding putting in all my time and effort into something I truly love, rather than just a regular job. I didn't mean it's changed my life financially.. I don't make a penny obviously 😂
Handsome young man who has talent and clearly loves his family. He is clearly a responsible person. I respect him for stepping up to help his family. I hope he finds a happy balance of caring for his family and pursuing his dream without feeling overwhelmed.
If you split your resources you not giving yourself the best chance. If he wants to make it in music, then you need to make that the priority, tough when you have bills etc, but balls wins you prizes, you don't succeed by not taking opportunities and chances. . . Says the guy in a corporate job😂😂😂
@@loudboomboom it'd be great for the comment section to gather here, honestly speaking.... A few years ago, I was working for a company with a very toxic environment. Hated every bit of it, but I had bills to pay so I held on. It triggered the on and off depression I've been dealing with since I was a child. On one of those very rare occasions where a colleague and I were talking, I mentioned following one's passion. He laughed at me saying that I was still so very young, would grow up and realise that there's no such....he, just like everyone else with a opinion about anything under the sun, was simply speaking from experience....
The most important lesson in life is to chase fear but always keep in mind if it’s realistic. It’s simple and effective, your regular job is a safety net but running a business is where opportunities rise, the real question is how do you fill in the gaps and what are the products that you want to offer but most importantly how you establish a community amongst people that value your knowledge and passion. Music has 2 sides which contains the creative part and the business part, find your niche and build from there.
@@loudboomboom Reality is relative. Society doesn’t reflect reality only one crested by others and adapted by billions. Being irrational is more rational to me than being rational. Most only live in their minds not in life. Anything any human ever did is possible for you to !
Every night Jim Carey went to the top of a hill near home as a child and teenager and say he's the best comedy actor in the world and every director wants him
You told him to quit his job, before you listened to his music. Bad advice Simon, the bills would keep coming, the debts would keep growing, his family would starve???😮
Man: From syria with the responsibility to care of his family. Simon: Quit that shit job. 😂 I understand Simons intention but that delivery. 😂 On a realistic note, when taking care of your family abroad that lives in a poor country with no government assistance and you're the only income of them on a monthly basis, you can't just quit. You need to have that savings or money on your side readily available to send them for their next bills (medicine, food, electricity, water, etc). It's just a reality for millions of people around the world, praise God.
Can’t wait to hear more of your music! 🎶 🎵 🎶 Find a way to make it happen. We believe in you & even more important for you to believe in you. It’ll bring you so much joy to live your purpose. You got this! 💪
The music - Levitate by Antifawda Clearly he has what it takes to be a great artist.. but he needs to put more time into this..im pretty sure he is gonna blow out soon 💯
@@SimonSquibbTakes more than self belief, within business if an NDA is not signed ideas are stolen. Work in silence, act out loud. Equality is part of the issue
@@SimonSquibblife does get one down sometimes, it's easy to feel defeated. You are an inspiration though and help me get up in the morning to put my boots on and take on the world.
Levitate by Antifawda on Apple Music…someone else posted it above! It’s actually pretty good 😊I added it to one of my playlists and hope to hear more soon!
I‘ve learned that doing what i love doesn‘t mean, that i need to make a living out of it. making a living out of it forces me to think about what others want instead of just doing whatever i want. Just keep you job for money, and make what you love when you find time. When it‘s supposed to be famous you will get famous as long as you present it coherently.
Dreams are there to guide us to our purpose in life. Dreams are meant to die in order for us to be thankful for the life we have. If held on to for too long, a dream consumes us.
Hi Simon! I think sometimes people mishear you as if you say “do you ever dream?” You know that when they answer “do I dream?” Not in this video though :) love your content!
Seems like Utrecht could be on your spots to go. A lot of young people/ students and creative people there/ here. Maybe seeing each other soon :) Having my dream job already by the way in the social sector. Not big of an entrepeneur myself. But would still love to meet you to feel your positive energy in real life.
Simon, i know you normally only help random people you meet. However, i have an idea that you could do a raffle for your subscribers (maybe once a month) to give back to the people who watch and support. I know you cant help people who reach out because then it'd become unfair that you help some but not others, but the raffle would mitigate that and make it fair to both you and the few who you can get to. I see a load of your active supporters in the comments who're dying for your help (including me, I just started a landscaping company like you!!) and i think this would be a way of getting to them. I'd be happy to help work out the details if you're too busy doing gods work 😂❤
My dream is to teach others how to come into alignment with who they really are and to allow themselves to be happy. To be able to do this and live financially free. I feel like I’m close I do this in many ways just eager to get the finances into place any suggestions? ❤
He should have said: "Ok. Well, keep your job. Practice a bunch more, then follow your dream once 10 people say the music is good and you know they aren't lying.
My dream is to set up a business that directly contributes to helping young people be able to afford to do sports. E.g., I’m a big lover of football and tennis…if my business could provide football boots, tennis rackets, lessons etc. I would absolutely love it. I want to travel the world doing this too and eventually include people from other countries to create a healthier, happier and ever so slightly more equal world in the small way I can.
The inspiration for this idea came from a shoe company called TOMS - I listened to a podcast called “How I Built This” and TOMS donate a pair of shoes for every pair they sell. I think I’d like to base my business on this model but I don’t know where to start
I have 2: 1/ Create a Happy News channel which becomes mainstream. Let’s be honest most people are fed up with the constant negativity. 2/ Create a platform which gives power back to journalists rather than being told what to write by the company they work for. With a built in algorithm which means the reader will also read articles from journalists with an opposing view. Currently algorithms are set to up to almost to show you more of what you like which at times can radicalise people and lead them to having a narrow view.
Sorry but I do not agree to leaving your job. People don't understand that making music will not make you money for a very long time. Even if you boost everything. Production has to be done in combination with DJing. The shows/festivals is what makes you the most.
Bro,, you just told that man to quit his job. ..quit that shit job, fuck the responsibilities in Syria,, and go and get creative, homeless and destitute 😂 Love your videos man, but this one you went abit direct with him, it's hard to quiet your job man, and music is a hard industry to break through,, But saying that he could set up a business like performing at shows or clubs and pubs, weddings, so I guess your right, the principle being if music is his passion . He will be happy performing ...and enjoy the venture of trying to get it out there
I have a dream to be a racer. Im working on learning car handling techniques, why the car behaves the way it does, how to use the track efficiently. I bought some sim racing stuff, so i can practice more often. I plan on starting a RU-vid, so people can see the potential and also get my self out there. I hope to get sponsors, so i can try to get them to sponsor my “real life” races. Its going to happen.
I have many dreams but the biggest one is to become rich To make it easier to achieve the other dreams And get rid of overthinking My dreams: To be a cybersecurity engineer, bug hunter, Digital Marketer In fact, I like to try everything, I tried to be a programmer and bug hunter even sometimes I make music and designer, and this is what I also see as a problem because I don't stick in one thing I just try everything
I have a dream. I want to solve the algorithm NP = P to take the one million dollar reward. Or solve some AI problems to get a lot of money. But to do this, I need a lot of time.
Heyy Simon hope you're having great time, i really like your videos and love what you're doing. Im an aspiring electronic music producer and dj myself and im from india and there is absolutely no edm scene over here so if i figured if i wanna have a chance of making it in the scene I'm gonna have to get outta here asap. So i have this goal of moving to usa in the next 5 years or something but the thing is it is so expensive and there is no way i could make that much of money so what advice do you have for me in order to get there cause i know for a fact if i can get there it would change my life . Keep on doing your thing really appreciate you ❤🙏🏽
