Love this video complication, well done! I’ve always wanted to be a dancer, so I’m always watching dancers’ feet. Bruno can do anything, he could also be a comedy or dramatic actor. Yes. Thank you for your commentary on cultural appropriation. There's a difference between stealing and being influenced by. The artists of the 50's and 60's literally straight up stole the style, beats, rhythm, and songs of our people and culture. Thankfully, the radio and television becoming more popular and widespread put an end to that. Bruno? He's influenced by that style, beat, rhythm, and songs. He pays homage to it while also creating and contributing his own style, beats, rhythms, and songs to the lineage in order to pay it forward. 10-20 years from now we'll see a new artist come along and say, "Man, I was influenced by Bruno Mars!" Meaning they were also influenced by MJ, Prince, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Fred Astaire, Elvis, and so on. Why? That's because those are the people that influenced Bruno before them, who influenced MJ and Prince before him, and on and on. Great commentary fam. Also, Bruno's dancing always amazes me. He doesn't do difficult or extremely intricate moves most of the time. They're subtle, smooth, and precise. Yet it always looks so damn amazing! Don't get it twisted though. He can pull out the intricate difficult moves. See Finesse video and Grammys performance. EDIT: Also, that Valerie performance at the MTV VMA awards was not in 2014. It was in 2011. By 2014 Bruno was such a huge star from his first album and recently released second album that there's no way they would've had him only doing a tribute.

Bruno is a person of color himself, as his primary racial makeup is Filipino and Puerto Rican. The man's birth name is Peter Gene Hernandez. He isn't Caucasian. Does this mean that any Black person that sings Pop music, is denying their culture? To appropriate something, means to claim it as your own creation. I guess, when I wear a kimono or a sari, I am appropriating Asian culture. People need to stop being purposely ignorant or it will turn into stupidity. If there's anyone that thinks the words mean the same, make use of a dictionary and LEARN something!
