For some reason I said "Hackett" instead of "Brackett." I don't know why. Also, there is a typo on the Halloween Franchise slides...should be "choose" instead of "chose."
I like how you put your list in a tier ranking of sorts. It looks like even though our rankings differ we have a lot of the same ones at the top and at the bottom.
I tend to rank these things on genuine creepyness which is hard to do as an adult, but Resurrection is certainly not in the top five for me neither is number three. If H2O had a decent mask it could really be a contender. I always hated the little girl ones cringed at the Paul Rudd one and was let down by the David Gordon green McBride trio and I did like the second half of Rob zombie's first one but it still wasn't that great.
General creepiness is a good way to rate them…and with that, my number one would still be the same. 😊 Which of the Halloween movies would be your favorite? And when it comes to any franchise, when ranking them, I treat each movie as its own thing. That helps me the most.
I also rank Halloween III: Season Of The Witch as number 2. The film usually gets pushed aside just because Michael Myers isn’t in the film. That’s unfair. I’m biased though. Tom Atkins is one of my favorite actors. He leaves his mark on every film he acts in. One of the friendliest and appreciative horror icons you’ll ever meet. Brandy, I hope you had the opportunity to meet Tom Atkins.
It may have been #1 for two consecutive weeks but overall, financial-wise, it did not do well. $17.8 million gross (domestic) on a budget of $5 million. But financial sales to me don't equate how good a movie is. :)
