It's funny how the game tells the story of the actual situation. Overconfident king casually wanders out farther than it's wise to be... triumphantly shoots his shot by booting a knight... and gets gracefully but fatally clotheslined by the queen

1:15 I have only played chess in childhood; but I still remember that "the queen honors her color". (In addition, In Czech the queen is called 'dáma' - 'dame', 'lady' - and from this I can remember that she goes to the D-file; that determines the correct orientation of the board.)

That was beautiful. As I watched your moves, I could tell what his next moves would be...because they are the obvious moves a rookie like me would make (except for moving his king; even I know that's generally a last resort move). Then, around one minute in, I could see the snare closing. The moment you placed your knight in front of his king, I said, "Go ahead; it's about the only move you've left yourself." I saw how the rest of the game would unfold, right down to the moves your queen would make, and I started laughing out loud at the beauty of it.

I recently found a street chess event in Passage, the Hague, Netherlands. It's apparently organized by Stichting (Foundation) En Passant in the Hague. The Passage is a mall with a roof. They probably chose it against the rain. I found it by accident on a Saturday. Unfortunately I don't know their exact event schedule. Might be worth checking out.

I love that a Swedish girl and a Belgian boy communicate through a second language - flawlessly! I suspect that the Belgian boy speaks Flemish, French and English fluently, at least. And they both speak Chess!
