He is Legend are the greatest band on the planet in my opinion. Their music is really unlike anyone else.
This is a one take of me playing through their latest single 'The Prowler'.
It's all transcribed by ear so its not perfect (nor is my playing) but hopefully you enjoy it.
This guitar is also not really set up to handle the low G, so intonation is a little scratchy (again, as is the playing).

Thanks very much for your kind words, it means heaps! I need to do more of this, I've just been really busy with my band and other life things, so haven't had the time to sit down and try and figure out more HIL songs! But it's on the list of things to do! Cheers!

I’ve been following these guys since their first record. They get better every time and I just can’t figure out how. Haha. I want to spend a day inside Adam’s head to figure out his technique.

Totally, he's such a unique guitarist. Every time I try and learn/figure out one of their songs, I find myself having to throw out all the normal conventions I would expect to us (especially diatonically) in favour of just trusting my ear and realising he's doing so much out of the box stuff!

Adam is the author of my favorite musical moments of all time. God, that bridge to Widow of Magnolia. Every time I listen to them I think "Damn. Why couldn't I have thought of that?!"

Started listen HiL in 2004 and I think exactly the same. Every album I think "that's their peak", but I'm always wrong! I wish I could see them live, but I'm from Brasil... little far away.

I remember the day I heard HIL the first time 4/19/2004. Was a pivotal time in my life. Either they decorated..... and You Sound Like a White Boy. Literally changed my life trajectory.

Thank you! I wasn’t quite sure of how Adam does the repeat of the intro riff up the octave, so i guessed the tuning is (low to high) G G C G A D.

Thanks! The pickups are exclusive to the guitar - the builder of the guitar (Dan Memory/Oni Guitars) also winds the pickups/shapes the bobbins to fit the guitar, so unfortunately I don't really have anything to compare them to.

Thank you - in answer to the string gauge, not thick enough haha. I’m only running 10-52 on this guitar. Ideally for that low G I’d want about a 64-70 but didn’t want to have to cut the nut and stuff for one cover

Thanks mate! I wasn't 100% certain that this is the correct tuning as played by Adam T, but I tuned G, G C G A D (low to high)

Sorry for the delay I never got the notifications! I wasn’t quite sure (whether it’s what Adam tuned to) but I tuned it (low to high) G G C G A D. It’s basically drop C with the top dropped down to G, and the F string raised a tone. I’m not sure at all if that’s right, but it worked haha.
