Novel Synopsis:Ryan was known as a notorious playboy. He treated every girlfriend generously, giving them whatever they wanted-except marriage. Everyone knew he still couldn’t get over his first love after their breakup and couldn’t take that final step with anyone else.
When we reached our fifth month together, my family started pressuring me. So, I had to say goodbye. "I heard your first love is coming back. Congrats," I told him. He smiled, "Yeah."
That night, his friends threw him a bachelor party. The place was huge, bustling with activity. Someone mentioned me: "Ryan, I think I just saw Emily. And she was with some guy. Pretty handsome too." Immediately, the gossip exploded.
Ryan, however, suddenly got angry. He stubbed out his cigarette and sneered, "She’s the one who said we were together, and she’s the one who broke it off. Who does she think she is?"
When I first got together with Ryan, his friends had placed bets. Big ones. They gambled on whether our relationship would last more than a month.
Ryan came from an elite family with a stellar reputation. Even when I first met him, my roommate warned me, "Ryan from North City isn’t someone to mess with."

I like it about her. He never make it clear to her. She did drop hints but he didn't take them seriously. He was clearly keeping tabs on his ex. Helping her behind the scenes. He let his friends trample on her feelings. It's like him giving her hints that this relationship is just temporary. Don't take it seriously. He keeps giving her expensive gifts as he did to his previous flings like she is just a kept relationship. I can empathize with her. The status gap between them was big. His attitude towards her was whimsical. He prioritised his ex over her on some occasions. She was being smart. She decided to cut ties early before getting seriously emotionally damaged. She is a strong girl. She knows her worth a d won't let anyone trample on her. She was wrong too as she decided to cut ties without talking to him face to face but instead of giving a message through his friend. It was not done well and disrespectful towards him. She should have had a direct confrontation with him to cut ties.

I like her decisiveness. If a lot of the FL in these short stories were as decisive as her, they won't be suffering or end miserable and then need to be reborn

The description is misleading. ML didn't kick FL out. She preemptively broke up with him when she heard his first love, Samantha, was returning. She also got a call from said first love warning her off. The additional telling moment for her was when having been given 2 watches for his birthday, one from her and the other from Samantha, ML chose to wear Samantha's.

Doesn't make sense. The guy was good to her and didn't even cheat on her. Just because of a watch she broke up with Ryan. Didn't even clarify things with him.
