Perhaps there was another reason he killed the hitman, other than trying to get rid of a witness. He may have told the hit man his father was a dealer and had LOTS of money stashed in the house in bags, and if he (the hitman) wanted some of it he had to kill the father and they would split the funds. (1) Father gets killed, hit man finds money where the son said it would be, but decided, hey, he'll keep ALL the money, or he lied about his take from the bags and the son knew he was lying. (2) Maybe it was not about silencing a witness, but HE (Shane) decided he would keep all the money for himself and so he killed the hitman, not for being smart, just being greedy. This guy probably wasn't too bright anyway. Please note that if a son kills his father he is no son, he was no Shane, but a SHAM of a son. After killing the father, the hitman I suspect had a toast---- with Sham Payne
Any case that doesn't have a driving force like loved ones constantly calling the police and talking to the media will usually get minimal attention, but even if hes a dealer if he has a loving family that's proactive in talking to the police, demanding updates and contacting the media the case will probably get at least a decent amount of attention.
@@PenskePC17 yeah you have be on their backs all the time, or if the investigator has some emotional motivation to solve the case, like the cop who went after John Wayne gacy, he had a son the same age as the victims, and wanted to catch him
