I have been crying the thing for the past 4 years, Gambian selling their land for chicken change and not leaving anything for their kids. I'm a product of that. ru-vid.com/show-UCu8jlzG5Cmju_zYDclcBVSA
@@iamBilliontv The govt should give soft loans to individuals who re ready to venture into agriculture. You need capital to do this! We must be engaged in agriculture if we are ready to end poverty in the country!!
It is almost like you have to leave your country and come to NYC or other big cities to understand how much resources you have in your own country and have much success you can have with a little extra work. Me, myself is about to leave NYC to go back to Jamaica and build my own farm and homestead.
I visited St Elizabeth Jamaica recently for vacation and let me say the people of Jamaica is sitting on an abundance of rich resources and don’t even know it. I’m not from Jamaica but my heart desire is intended to move/live there if that’s where TMH is calling me to. If not, I will go where the spirit leads. All the best with your transition back home in due time. 🙏🏾
That's because of the financial system in the third world countries, production is left behind and almost no backing of the risk management of the government system to take a loan and so people have to make money first to to start a business in the production sector and the opportunity to for your dream come true is to make money abroad and the mindset is simply as that
I am from Somalia and I believe every tree planted not only to your family benefit but it is beneficial to the whole world thank you for your hard work and god bless you ❤❤❤❤❤

In the USA, people encourage you to do more. Why would anyone in the Gambia discourage you from building your business? Gambia has some of the best land in the world. You should be exporting food to the USA and the EU instead of importing it. Do you have any idea how much people pay for avocados here? Mexicans are growing rich planting avocado trees. Anyway, best wishes from the USA. I hope to see a prosperous rich Gambia soon.
Well said. Farming is not the thing of the rich. Only the poor people are doing agriculture. So it's very rare to see a rich person invest in agriculture. The Gambia is different
YES MY BROTHER U IS THE OWNER BUT GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY... BY HELPING BY PLANTING THE ORANGES AND STUFF...THAT ENCOURAGES THE HELPERS THAT IS WORKI G WTH U MY BROTHER..
11,000,000 Dalasis is about $184,000 is a great start. Key ingredient to build Generational Wealth is Business/Real Estate.Key to a successful business ANYWHERE is a Strong Team .
My everyday dream, I keep on searching about agriculture finally I saw a great Gambian farmer. Thanks for the inspiring. But I will like to visit this farm and meet this legend.
Beautiful garden. Nice investment. I love the concept to let the womans from near village to grow vegetables and keep the place tidy and clean. Thats how you make a country grow. He invest in a solid future. Good luck in your endeavors .
“ ….you’re gonna succeed on your own if helps comes along the way, then more power to you” that’s really motivative this is the kind of mindset we want young Gambians to have
TRUTH MY BROTHER DON'T LEAVE THE. MONEY IN THE BANK FOR THE POLITICIANS/ GOVERNMENT/POLITICIANS INVEST IN YOUR BUSINESS YOURSELF...DOESN'T NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP TO DO YOUR OWN FARMING. USE YOUR OWN GAMBIANS YOU NEEDS HELP TO MAKE MONEY...
This man (Laba) is just amazing and shows a high level of patriotism in The Gambia. His investment is incredible and the country needs people like him to move forward. I encourage the government and all the rightful stakeholders to engage in agriculture to help the country in national development. Laba is an exemplary leader that all should emulate. I encourage the government to assist people like Laba thus by providing labour force that would provide employment for the youths and women, providing subsidies and so many things. If an individual is willing embark in national development, why not the government gives a helping hand. I pray to Allah to give him (Laba) long life to witness the fruits of his labor.
Guy is set to make about 2.4 million USD or 145 million Dalasi per year in revenue. Much respect. I live in the states and an immigrant from the Netherlands and have always wanted to do something like this. Much respect 🙏🙏.
Im no expert, but I think you could get more orange trees in between those spaces... I think you only need around a 3 meter gap between trees - atleast in Australia anyway
We need more people to make that move because after they put houses in all the land what are we going to do for food we can't eat the blocks, the concrete. It's happening in Haïti too.we need to return to farming like old times. . .
I feel very happy seeing a fellow diaspora going into agriculture and doing something that benefits his community, especially the women who are earning money for themselves to help their families through him is commendable. I salute you my dear brother and may Allah bless you and protect you all the way. You inspire me the first time l watched the interview this for first time last year whilst in the UK. Keep up the great job and stay blessed 👍
This is how every African/ black should come to Africa, come with a plan to sustain u,u can stay in the Africa and diaspora at the same time, ounce the invest picks up,then u can finally leave in which ever place you want
Brother you gonna get nothing back if you stop doing this. Keep going brother. I have established 600 hecters of cashew nuts farm since 2019. I have contacted Cashew nuts manufacturer so i process with machine and pack by next tear. I started harvesting last year and sold CIN. I hsve 15000 trees all being hybrid technology. Planning retiring in five years, then back to Africa Tanzania. Lets get back to mother land.
Now, there will be a big boost in the agriculture industry as African union is in the G21. Just don't let the politicians get a hold over farmers. Keep that in mind. Best of luck to the billion people in Africa. We, Indians are here for you. Love From Bharat.
It is my joy to learn about this determined gentleman who came with a vision to change his home land Gambia .l love plants of various types they are blankets for Mother Nature. The concept of profits making seamlessly married to help climate change is practically in friendship with nature. I really adore green grass too, it grows from bottom, not the top. If something eats the tips, it doesn’t kill the plant. Only makes it grow faster. May you and your children be blessed as you forge your way to create a sustainable job for your country fellow men and women. Hopefully we’ll see you again how much progress you make in the future
Masha'Allah. I came across this channel accidentally. I am not African, but I hope more and more African brothers and sisters will have the courage to undertake these type of projects.
I will go there just to drink the wonderful juice. Now I have a plan. I also garden here in the Caribbean. Small peanuts to this guy, but I love it all the same. Provides food for my family. I will put on my RU-vid soon. Wow. Such an amazing story and business
Im sure it will work out for him. ideas i would help him he is doing for right reason cause he believes in it. Only thing i would have done differently with his Orange field of his plant other variety between Orange row cause it will help againist virus, pests, blight etc. so he wont go into some Florida farmers with growing Monoculture and have spend ends of millions to fight of pests . great tree would be moringa tree or similar fence the trees off and add goats to graze, fertilize the soil.
He is doing the right ting orange is 100% vitman C he can never loose orange will sell sell he use the skin for Expensive mamlade sells all over the world in expensive Resturant
Never even knew oranges grow in Africa. Good content. Hopefully, owners treat workers good and make sure they have a break facilities and proper places to stay. This is what governments need to spend money on (agriculture and health and education) instead of military and space funding. He can solve his water problem by building his own lake to catch the rain water. Similar to what the people of Dhun did in India.
The government will never spend therr time on any permanent solution to the problem. You hear from the man himself. He staff are living in a very good house.

Africa is new gulf. Full of resources, i wish all africans outside the country get back to Africa and implement there what u learned.Wish u the best my african brothers.. Lol india. ❤🙏
When we grow dates, they need watering just for one year or less , and then, they bring out water to the surface, from deep deep earth like a bore machine that pulls out water. So the date trees pulls out water for us and for our farms for more than hundred years .
What a great investment and help the community also. Imagine if ppl with money did this more often ? Our world would become such a lovely place for all those ppl who don’t have the opportunities like some richer countries and communities have. This video gives us all hope for a better world and not to be materialistic 😊Elhamdulillah
Awesome, my friend you need to partner with a food science, find your local College or University and consult with a food scientist. You can bottle your in mason jars or can freeze your food, you can even make dries food. I grew up in a small town in America and we grew everything we ate. In America Freezer were the big thing when I was a child, all local families had a Freezer. We put our food in mason jars and everything else we put in the freezer inside of freezer bags.
WISDOM IS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING. MY BROTHER U CAN DO IT YOURSELF AND WITH YOUR OWN GAMBIANS...U DON'T NEED CORRUPTED PROFESSIONAL THAT ALREADY HAVE MONEY LIKE THE POLITICIANS...
