Very cool! I wish I could be there to land a hand and maybe some advise ❤ Next time you have an issue with a small ledge like that, you can use some fabric like a thin (but not too thin, something like a fleece blanket) blanket, and duct tape it so it's stretched out across the ledge, that would probably mask the change in attitude. About the light in the closet, I would try to point it more towards the floor where the doors are, that should make the light show on the floor outside the closet. In case they were purely technical (or not technical enough) about the slow-mo, you need to increase the frame rate, but not every camera can do it. You'd also need more lighting to compensate for the reduced exposure time. It's also critical that the prame rate is some doubling of your base frame rate. But under your time and equipment limitations, using a smartphone is a great solution! Keep up the good work! I hope this helps in the long run. ❤😁
