@@FifeFlow could be on to something? got a bit of a Paul Aston vibe I think. 👍🏻

They should have sendt you a new fork and had this one for testing on a Dyno, and on a flex test machine. But I think they should have inspected each fork during production, dyno tested each fork, made sure it did not flex too much, checked the tolerances before assembly, during production of each part. Maybe they don't do that. Maybe the crowns or carbon legs are faulty. I see Paul Aston loved this fork, but he had custom made crowns, custom tune by Rulezman. I e not tried a dual crown for on my bike yet. A nice advantage is you don't have to align the bar if you use direct stem. But now I have a DNR Designs tool to do it.

They recently ended up crediting most of the purchase back, and I'll eventually update the video. Andrew's friend (one of the guys with a Geometron) just acquired the Rulezman Dorado and is loving it so far!

Everytime I see people ride without gloves - and especially! in bikeparks - I die a little bit on the inside. That's like a death wish for fingers, isn't it?
@FifeFlow
@FifeFlow Год назад
Yeah gloves do for sure add protection but some people like feeling more connected to their bike! I go back n forth between wearing gloves. I wear them in bike parks but not hot pedal rides :)

It'd be pretty cool if Andrew would start reviewing bikes for those of us who are 220+! Got any recommendations?

That would be a super fun set up. Some bikes that have worked really well for me lately are the Knolly Fugitive for a trail bike, the Banshee Titan for a bigger trail bike, and I just spent a week including 4 half day park days at Whistler and am really really impressed with the Fezzari La Sal Peak if you want 170mm of travel. All 3 of these seem to be built really well!
@andrewfife8437

I should also add the Kavenz to that. It’s super cool, but I think I’d prefer the 29er vhp16.

@@andrewfife8437 nice! I've been considering the Chilcotin and the La Sal, how's the Kavenz pedal up? Kinda leaning towards the Chilcotin for something different! Currently running a used Offering and no complaints really with it, just want a brand new bike for once!

@@sigvarth I'm 240 and I love my Fezzari Delano Peak. If I needed more travel, I wouldn't hesitate at all to go with the new La Sal.

@@sigvarth You can’t go wrong either way! The kavenz has a good pedaling position, and has killer climbing traction, but it’s certainly less efficient than the la sal peak. My la sal is a hair lighter so that may have an effect too. I was always pretty happy with the knolly climbing as well and a chilcotin would be super fun. I almost got one of those. Right now I’m pretty enamored with my la sal because it’s big, climbs well, and has a great ride feel. The knolly suspension has killer braking, but the slack actual seat tube angle is something to consider. I think that knolly has a really deep suspension feel, looks awesome, and has some cool design. The la sal has better cable routing, lighter, and less suspension to go wrong. The bushings on my knolly wore out kind of fast but are easy to replace. Can’t go wrong no matter what but right now I’m on the Fezzari train. I always have a special place in my heart for alloy interesting bikes though!

I tried both, plus different brake, wheel, rotor size, etc. I generally prefer metallic, or TRP blue pads, or Galfer greens lately

@@andrewfife8437 ok, that is strange. I made the best experiences with the original Shimano resin brakepads. But I use a Shimano Zee brake. Hope you can eliminate this problem..

@@sigvarth I tried the mtx and didn’t love them. Didn’t hate them, but although they last longer, I’m willing to burn through pads for all out power and they weren’t stronger then my other favorites. I think it’s a good option though
