@@mccleandazza4618 actually trying to combat child poverty and manage the NHS properly - they reduced both child poverty and hospital waiting times when they were last in government, which have soared under Tory rule. The Tories have even failed miserably when it has come to ‘core Tory voter’ areas such as economic and fiscal prudence, taxes (implementing the biggest tax hikes since WW2), reducing the size of the state (which they’ve noticeably increased) and immigration (which they’ve not even come close to controlling despite constantly talking tough and setting unrealistic targets). They fail to the left and fail to the right. So again, what’s the point of the Conservative Party?

Every Labour government has ended in economic tears. So how will Keir Starmer's government be any different?

At least the last Labour government reduced child poverty and hospital waiting times. Under the Tories, those things have sky-rocketed, while they’ve messed up the economy, implemented the biggest tax increases since WW2, and allowed immigration to soar despite talking tough and seeming to obsess about it.
