Such a great episode. Also part of the conversation of women feeling powerless and the old Boys club she entered and held her own. I could write ten movies from her life exp. Will share it on my pages
Man, I wish I had never found this channel. Everything is so perfectly scripted, and the questions are brilliantly asked. Also, the fact that Steven has a bond with every guest is just another masterpiece. I can't properly listen to other podcasts after discovering DOAC.
This great interview is in a huge part due to the interviewer’s skill. He, unlike others, lets his guest take center stage and allows her to talk. So many hosts feel the need to speak rather than listen.
I watched this movie "Molly's Game" having no idea it was a true story. This interview was incredible. Molly Bloom is such a wise and likable person with tremendous self-awareness. I am happy to learn she came out of this situation on top, she deserves the win. Here I go, down the rabbit hole, to find her podcast!
This was a captivating conversation. From beginning to end. I sat here listening, and I was saying to myself, sh*t, this is like a movie." Many life lessons to be learned from Molly's story.
Molly's Game is one of my favorite movies of all time. I was awestricken by this woman's determination and strong values and randomly stumbling upon this on TikTok was one of the greatest things to happen to me. It is amazing to hear her story - the undramatized version. The life lessons, the pure honesty, and the level of self-reflection is truly inspiring.
This lady has given me so much strength. The amount of resilience despite the amount of down moments in her life and her ability to push through. Persistence is key, believe in yourself. Wonderful.
This was one of my favorite interviews you have done yet. Molly comes across as so genuine, perceptive and sharp. I was definitely rooting for her throughout hearing her entire story. So happy that she is experiencing what it is like to be a mother.
This was a really great interview. Molly has a crazy interesting story, and she's great at telling it. Most of all I admire her ability to rebound and rebuild herself.
Fascinating interview, incredibly intelligent woman. I love how you keep your questions short, and to the point and just let them talk and don't interrupt. I wish you had gone into her pivotal relationships with her mum and dad a bit more, especially the dad relationship now. He's a clinical psychologist. That's next level interesting.
It is so rare to find someone caught up in the world of crime, addiction and violence, to gain insight and change their lives around. Well done Molly. It is my belief that psycho-social knowledge, skills and practices are the most important things we need to be teaching children, ourselves and others. I must say that I had some illusion that most people who are wealthy would not be involved in gambling - maybe because I thought that once you have 'enough' (as you referred to) you would not be drawn to risk losing one's wealth. I am glad that you broke that illusion for me. That gambling (read power, adrenaline and money addiction) knows no racial, cultural, religious or economic boundaries.
Wow, I have listened to so many of your podcasts, and this is bar far one of my favorites! Molly has such an incredible mix of stoicism, resilience, and intellect. But her consistent ownership of her actions and not blaming everyone around her was amazing, and so rare. Such an inspiration. Thank you for this episode - fantastic!
Having kids makes you feel in certain ways you never ever thought you would ever feel, so as a parent of four I totally get Molly. It’s beautiful and the most genuine thing in the world but tons of fear and anxiety. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
The actor that took over her business in LA was Tobey Maguire he was an A - List actor at the time coming off Spider Man with all the right friends/connections, Tobey Maguire “allegedly” a mean gambling addict, once offered Molly a $1,000 tip to bark like a seal that wants a fish and then stormed off when she refused. Tobey was in part played as "Player X" in the Molly's Game movie. Tobey resented the fact that Molly was in control and making too much money.
She wasn’t in control of anything, it was Toby McGuire’s and Curtis Houston’s game, they paid her money to serve drinks and get whatever the guests wanted
This Podcast has been great!! She is so honest about her life. She has been on the edge and, in a way, justly brought there for for all her own doing. She said it, she owned her shortcomings, and that sat pretty well with me. I am glad she has mended her ways, she got back up. Thanx again Steven for yet another good interview. Regards from Nicaragua 🇳🇮.
Molly is absolutely incredible, I’ve been following her story and her self in social media and I’m finding her one of the most inspiring human beings. I’m so glad you had her on your podcast ❤
What a spectacular woman. I’ve followed her story for years and I’m still finding her captivating. Incredibly fascinating. Best of everything and much peace to you Molly Bloom. ❤
*❤️Only God knows how much grateful i am. After so much struggles I now own a new house and my family is happy once again everything is finally falling into place!!*
Wow...I know her too she is a licensed broker and a FINRA agent she is popular in US and Canada she is really amazing woman with good skills and experience.
Ego & greedy is the main reason why she has seen so many lives becoming undone including hers! That’s deep! What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger Molly, your journey has shaped you into the woman you’re today full of wisdom. Thank you for sharing. And you’re right Steven is a good listener that’s what makes this podcast a success👌🏾he doesn’t interrupt his guests when they’re speaking and I wish a lot of these podcaster could learn from him🙌🏾
@cameronbell415 I'm also good at pattern recognition but mine's different to your ability; mine is picking up patterns in one's behaviour over time which requires a couple of interactions. My intuition was the determinant in this case though, I just don't FEEL she is genuine
Thank You Steven and Molly for sharing such a Super Graceful Series of Life-Learning, Life-Changing Lessons. What a Super Conversation!! Thank you both Very Much. This Podcast is Greatly Appreciated!!! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
What a roller coaster of emotion this podcast took me on. I had trouble feeling for her for a large part of this but found myself softening towards the end. What a turn around. I loved how he almost counselled her along the way. A completely different approach to his interviewing which I generally love but particularly loved this style today.
I actually can’t believe how well she nailed Molly’s cadence, mannerisms, tone. Like I thought maybe she was taking liberties because I had never heard the real Molly speak but wow
I watched this because I saw the movie and phewweeee! What a freakin incredible woman. I LOVE her concept of ‘effective presence’ and I adore her advice to her daughter. SUCH an enlightening, inspiring and all round epic woman - and interview. Just wow.
Funny thing, I had Molly's game movie in my Netflix list for years and a few months ago I started to really watch things of my list. I didn't know much about the plot but I chose it for my list. I loved the film! What a story! Very loyal to the story she was telling here. I love the interview and very necessary to understand her point of view. Great story and very interesting the learnings of her wild journey. This is life!
I’ve never heard a more enlightened story from a woman’s perspective. She really comes clean on so many real rooted issues. I’m blown away with this interview.
What a deep conversation. It's crazy coz I had watched the movie with Jessica Chastain, but this interview has made me want to watch the movie again. What a life the lady has lived.
This is fascinating to see. It's about time we learn more about confronting and preventing violence in all forms. It can happen to anyone anywhere no matter which time of the day it is.
My favourite interviewer. Always respectful, inquisitive & allows the guest to share their story without constant interruption. Molly is amazing & so interesting. The movie, Molly's Game was really well done & Jessica Chastain is so alike with Molly. As Molly spoke, i could see the movie scenes playing oout. Worth watchjng if you haven't yet seen 😊
And evident self-awareness warp speed humility. I'd like to see her birth chart. I shall now search. (I'm always obsessed for the really back, backstory. )
I saw the film ‘Molly's Game’ which is what put me onto her book - crazy story! I'm glad that in the end things were able to get better for her and that she could leave all the chaos behind; she seems at peace with herself now.
I loved the film, I loved her character in the film and now I've seen this interview, I adore the real Molly! Her story is incredible and she is an incredible woman. Great interview.
People should watch the film as well. It was written by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, Steve Jobs), and has his signature style of fast-paced, rhythmic dialogue and dark humor. It was entertaining from start to finish.
I watched the movie today after watching this interview last night! Thank you Molly I found your story so inspiring! You are an amazing human being, well done for holding on to your values. If you made it through all of this then anything is possible ❤
Best interview todate! Molly's Game - I've seen it at least 5 times and when I want to watch a Bad-ass Smart Woman realizing her ups and downs and making lemonade out of lemons, I watch it again. Molly your inspiration is so profound. Thank you!
Having watched the movie last year, I'm really pleased you interviewed Molly - she's a fascinating person who made some bad choices but has navigated her way through it, having learnt some hard lessons.
How did I not know Molly's story. We are both from Loveland, her brother Jeremy was famous as a football player and Olympic skier. Thanks for sharing this.
I decided to watch this and was soooo glad I did. Compelling and amazing to hear Molly's story and how young she was when she went through what she went through.
Hell yeah, so stoked about your book! I pre-ordered it. Thanks for being my addiction for the last few months. I haven't been able to stop watching this channel. It's helping me through my depression and teaching me so much about myself!! You all inspires me to pursue my dream and keep going with my current business. Immense gratitude to you and your team. Keep kicking ass!!!❤ this episode was 🤯 Molly your story is epic! I've learned so much. Thank you so much for sharing.
I had to watch the movie after this (but also grateful that I watched this interview first). Wow. Molly - you are my role model. Your emotional intelligence, authenticity, truth and integrity is phenomenal. I’m chasing that as a 39 year old. Gonna watch this a few times, because you’re my Freud, but effin greater. Blown. Away.
The scariest part of this is the fact the government can take money out of your bank account just like that… I see why people are horrified about the electric money we have now
I can't believe I've never heard about this story, and I'm definitely writing down the list of teaching points for her daughter for my own. Funny how I had a totally different life, yet the same kind of lessons to give. Dhe just articulated well ❤
Thank you for having her on - I loooved the movie, looved the story and deep inside something I always would have loved to do. Although keenly aware of the very dark side all that comes with. But damn, what an awesome story and what a life. Deep respect for Molly and how she navigated this ride
Wow, what a story! You're incredible Molly Bloom..You took a risk, ran with it, rode the wild roller coaster, crashed, took ownership, and deservedly landed on your feet. That's a lot of life lessons in such a short period of time. What a trip. Write a book, make a movie, make your money, enjoy your life, always be true to yourself, and maybe open up a school. Molly Bloom's school for wayward entrepreneurial women . Joking aside, you're a very intelligent woman who will do great things in life and damn you're beautiful. Thanks for sharing
I truly enjoyed this interview. I was gripped and at 53 years old myself, having to reinvent myself again, Molly gave me hope and courage. Thank you Stephen.
Oh wow didn’t notice he’d hit 3 million. Thought he was still at a million (just remember him at 750k and urging people to subscribe to hit a million).
"I desperately wanted a seat at that Table" she said it herself and repeated it in different words many times. Been plenty of males and females over the years in the same situation. Difference in this case is Hollywood got involved.
If that's her main angle, she would've accepted the deal to get 9 million back from the FBI; but she chose people over (time and again) power and money. Anyone would've felt the thrill, power, and money being in her shoes (and opportunity). Reflect,; is it just jealousy cuz you're not intelligent enough to pull it off?.
Wow! such a great interview and interviewer!!! from the type of questions to the timing to the way it’s delivered. you’re killing it man keep going and getting better everyday! 🔥
I have purchased and read Mollys book. I have seen the movie. I loved them both. This interview makes me like Molly all the more. God bless you always. Keep doing the right thing.
I read the Book it was unreal for a young woman to get through. Molly your story will help many people. Your so special because of your back ground and persistents. Awesome. You are worth while.
As soon as I seen her name, I had to watch. I never followed up on her true story after watching Molly's Game on Netflix. I absolutely love the movie and her story. This interview was the icing on the cake. ❤❤❤❤
Molly her determination and willingness to never give up is astounding! It has made me realise I am capable of so much in life especially in my new business. Loved this!!
The fact that I have no interest in being a CEO and I still watch this channel. I love how you let your guests speak and not constantly interupt like alot of others do.ive never heard of molly until now and this was a great episode. The fact that you said having her baby wasn't a straight ride made me chuckle. In my country that actually means so much more than you can think 😂😂 especially when it was ivf Good luck molly I wish you all the best.
She mentioned"How to win friends and influence people" that's an old and powerful book by Dale Carnege. Saw it mentioned before in the top 10 books for Real Estate and it has nothing to do specifically with it. Emotional intelligence is key. It is all positive because you learn to be better person.
I came across your podcast by accident but was super intrigued to listen. Now truth be told I had never hear Mollys story either in tv or thru the news. Listening to her story thru her lenses and hearing the emotional roller coaster ride she had telling it hit home. Not because I’ve been involved in high stakes money or anything to do with her battle with the fbi it’s her story of life that’s truly amazing bc I do believe we all can find something within her story that we as viewers can relate to and understand. She is an incredible and fearless woman. I truly hope she embraces her inner peace bc the part that really hit bc it changed me was having my first child. Within that moment looking back it truly changed who I was too so I relate that very much and lastly Molly ur a beautiful woman inside and out no matter what has happened always remember your dad can not and will not stay mad at you having two daughters we go months sometimes not talking but we quickly realize our faults and love again embrace your dad as much as you can he truly loves you I know he’s does bc I’m the same way big hugs thanks again
