Phil peaked/was in his prime back when no one knew about how to REALLY play poker (position/learning betting patterns/etc). Now everyone has caught up to his level which is only above average, but he thinks he's the best in the world even though he punts, makes horrid plays and gets felted (I feel deep down he knows he's not the best in the world) so he tries living a lie of being and needs to tell everyone he's the best as some form of cognitive dissonance. meh. As a poker fan of many decades I disagree. Helmuth has definitely been one of the top poker brats but he was never outright attacking people on a personal level the way this no-name Persson guy did. For example he never once came close to anything like reaching across the table and giving a heads-up opponent the double finger. This Persson guy seems to have a bit of roid rage. He acted completely out of control and uncool.
