Lovely dress Anna. Just want to let you know I really enjoy your daily vlogs and now started watching your minecraft videos......never played in my life and I'm nearly 50, but may have to start 😆
Hi Kev! An idea for you, why not go to your local Poundland and grab a couple of emergency festival type poncho's for keeping in the backpacks. I know some will be saying "don't use the plastic etc" but I know when it comes to sen kids, and you can always repack them up once dry. It's just easier than having the coat on you all the time x
I’m sure Andy would love Center of Alternative technology. It’s in West Wales (Machynlleth) so I’m pretty sure that’s quite the drive from where you are but lots of sensory stuff!
he doesnt get dizzy because like my twins his Vestibular Sense and Sensory integration , Children with autism with hyperactive sensory systems have very adverse reactions to many forms of stimulation. Spinning and motion are big forms of stimulation. Great video Kev
Hi Kev! I was working in the burger van at Wicksteed that day, I seen you walk past and me and my friend ran out to say hi to you guys but were too scared haha
I love going on anything that spins, and I rarely get sick from them either. The trick I do at a theme park is that I don't eat anything heavy except in the evening if I know I am going on intense rides. Also, have you thought of getting a poncho for Andy the next time you go out? They can fit in small spaces in your handbag..
I want those outdoor glockenspiels and things. We had a 9 bars glockenspiel attached to a tree in the grounds of my old Primary School... which doesn't exist any more. It was renovated and turned into a luxury retirement complex. All the Schools for the vision impaired and additional disabilities, special needs will go the same way at some point, sadly.
My daughter is the same , definitely something to do with proprioceptive processing. She can do fast spinning for hours and still be able to walk. We were at the fair last year and she did waltzer , then the sizzler then back to the waltzer and then back on the sizzler at which point my brain felt like it was going to fall out my head and she was still wanting to continue. 🤯 I don’t think I’ve ever seen her get dizzy!
Funny enough many people on the spectrum have been noted as less likely to get dizzy, car sick or sea sick they typically like spining and rocking the way their bodies process vestibular stimulation is different than how neuro typical people do
Define cannot have one. Unless they’ve got 5 or 6 people to literally pin him down and force it into him against his will, it would be dangerous both for him and the person giving the injection to go near him with a needle.
