@@paytience4953 They make Tiller Auto Pilots too. If you sail single hand they recommend using one even if it's just to keep her straight while raising and lowering the sails. Although I never used one.

I once knew someone who claimed to be a pirate. He had some tall stories, but i was never able to falsify one. These guys look like sailors, but they are not pirates.
Hi there - glad you enjoyed the video, the title came from the soundtrack - the pirates of the Caribbean theme is actually called "he's a pirate" apparently and the owner/Skipper has been k own to turn up to boat shows dressed as one...
The music is a version of the theme from Pirates of the Caribbean the title of which is "He's a Pirate" Hugh. The Skipper often dresses as a pirate at shows and festivals. Hence the title. We know she's a Pilot Cutter, we had her built for us - it's just a little joke...
Lovely boat, nice vid. Thank you. However.....Pirate? Please, jeeesus. Pirates were thieves, and on occasion murderers. In short, they were chickenshit cowards. Johnny Depp (a gifted artist indeed) and the movies not withstanding; we should really get over this "pirate worship." Every time I see some yacht flying the Not-so-Jolly Rodger I feel like a bit of retching.
Coby Scheldt Not all pirates were like that, heck, one pirate, Jean Laffite I believe, helped the Americans defend New Orleans during the war of 1812, and others were escaped slaves who wanted a better life. Were there bad pirates? Heck yeah, like Black Bart. Also, unlike most other ships, most Pirate ships were democracies.
@@sirboomsalot4902 I don't think Democracy is a rousing endorsement for piracy. While there were people who were pirates at some point in their lives and perhaps philanthropists or patriots at other points in their lives, that doesn't make piracy OK. It's stealing and murdering.
