Ren is by far the best rapper and artist not of this time but of all time. He is an incredible person who has gone through so much shit that he didn't deserve. That took years off his career. Can you imagine if he didn't have Lymes Disease how much more he would have out there. I've been listening to rap since 1979 and nobody even compares to him. My favorite was Tom Macdonald who he should totally collaborate with. But now Ren is my favorite. I do not believe there will ever be another artist ever that will even compare to him. I have been a little obsessed with him since I've discovered him a little over a month ago. He will soon rule the world. I'm totally convinced of that. There are not words adequate that I can even describe him. Pure Genius and Star. He would also make an excellent actor.

And Tom is good but he's very repetitive and contradictory/hypocrite to the max (fuck autotune in one song and then autotuned in the very next track). Not to mention Tom's early music is exactly the shit he condemns now. Tom is in it for the money. That's it. You want the most skilled rappers? Look towards the revolutionaries like Eminem, Tech N9ne, twista or if you don't know who Samson is then you're missing out. #RENaissance is absolutely happening.... But he's got a LONG way to go if we're being honest with ourselves and him.
I think he is paying tribute to cult film classics ..Animal Farm being the main theme based with scenes from these classics like The Shining (girl on bike in hallway) Witches of Eastwick ( 3 girls around Rens feet ) A clockwork orange ( dressed in white with a cane ) Silence of the Lambs ( cannibal stair scene with lamb ) the chocolate factory (the beat ) Wind in the willows and creature from the black lagoon ( bathroom scene toad and creature in bath ) All cult classical movies.. The thing is when I first heard this yesterday I was like yeah probably not my favorite. But just like a Illest of Our Time, it is definitely growing on me every time I hear again. This is one of those songs that fits in well with an album's worth of songs. Not so much a single type but a bridge from one extreme to the other. I dig it. Great reaction guys.
Me too! I was like that with Hi Ren, knowing then and knowing now that everything that I EVER thought was OK at first, when it grew on me it stayed with me and became my favorite shit!

The writing on the wall is from Animal Farm - George Orwell's book about animals rebelling against their farmer only to have the revolution taken over by the pigs who end as bad as the farmer. (power corrupts). It was originally about communism but it had a much wider message. There are nods to so many classics... .Animal Farm, Clockwork Orange, Willy Wonka, The Shining, Silence of the Lambs... there are definitely more.
