I just watched an amazing group of kids and adults at Smelters Belters boxing show at Bristol Shirehampton Public Hall last night. Just what Tony is talking about here and he is correct - boxing isn't for everyone but it is perfect and transformative and hugely positive for so many people from kids to the very old. If it's not for you then move on but don't bring it down - you're wasting your time. Also - everyone there was having a great time - no-one was sitting at home watching TV - they were out with other humans doing something real. Long may it last. (but Tony was right to stop when he did!!)

Tony is right , not that he needs me to confirm that, but it doesn't even have to be the boxing gym, any gym, I found out that the ROUTINE in getting you FITNESS firstly, and building in that is so good for my mental health problems, and I was actually told that I was overdoing it, but I'd run, do some bag work,lift weights, another run, and walking for my warm down, it was a small gym, and I absolutely got my mind ,body and health problems to were I could manage it, I DIDN'T WANT TO USE MEDICATION, I JUST IMAGINED THAT THERE WAS NO MEDICATION FOR ME, AND EVEN ON MY SO CALL REST DAYS ID RUN A NICE 5 KILOMETRES UP AND DOWN THE CANAL BESIDE ME, EARLY MORNING SO NO CARS AND VERY FRESH OUT, YOU JUST FEEL MUCH BETTER FOR IT, SO I AGREE WITH TONY ABOUT GO AND SEE JUST HOW MANY WILL SAY THAT THE GYM SAVED THERE LIVES, MY OPINION IS THAT IT'S THE ROUTINE THAT IS GOOD FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH, YOUR ALWAYS TRYING TO PUSH A BIT HARDER EVERY WEEK OR WHATEVER PLAN YOU'VE CHOSEN TO DO....

Lot of nonsense there from Bellew. Canelo didn't look great against Kovalev. It looked a similar type of performance from him against Bivol. Though Bivol was fitter and cuter. Canelo's achievements are brilliant, but was he brilliant against Plant, Smith, Saunders? I didn't think so. He deserves credit for being so active and moving up in weights, but he was beaten fair and square wasn't he? As for Bellew's comments about Hearn's appearance on the telly. The other fella was a decent genuine man. He wasn't unpleasant, he wasn't rude, he was just trying to make his point and was interrupted constantly by Hearn. I love boxing, but we need to be realistic. If we keep shouting at people who criticise the sport then we will never improve protections for fighters. Bellew is very very good on tv. And I think he's getting better. But on these interviews, he's not great is he?
