Billy Joel is one of the most legendary singer/songwriter/musicians of the last half century. As much as you loved this song, let me promise you that there are another 25 of his that you will like as much or more. For starters, check out Piano Man, New York State of Mind, Scenes From an Italian Restaurant, River of Dreams, Vienna, Moving Out (Anthony’s Song), Downeaster Alexa, Vienna and Always a Woman. At that point I would bet you’d have become a fan for life. BTW, yes, he’s in his 70’s and still doing it and recently played his 100th show at Madison Square Garden, where he’s had a monthly residency going back years and sells out the 20K seat venue every single time. Thanks for the enthusiastic reaction. You are adorable.

Billy Joel had many good hits in the 70's and 80's, his first big hit was 'The Piano Man'' in the mid 70's, he is 73 yo and I think he still is giving concerts, he's a New Yorker

Lovely reaction. Billy Joel is unique. Back in the 1980s people used to dedicate this song to each other on the radio. No streaming, just calling and calling until someone picked up at the radio station and took your request. It's hard to suggest Billy Joel songs to new listeners because so many of them are great, and the rest are masterpieces. Also, he's written in so many different styles, tones and attitudes; he's known for being a great storyteller, his piano-ing is what garnered him his nickname: The Piano Man (also his first hit song). I love the song An Innocent Man. It's pretty deep and his vocals on here are beautiful. Billy Joel and Elton John are touring the USA together for the all the rest of this year. And this will be the last tour for both performers, they will not perform any more live shows after this tour together or separatel.So you said you would like to see him, this is your one and only chance.
