Viola, I'm from Italy too, from the north as well and my parents are from Milan, I speak a pretty good american english and let me tell you quite honestly you totally sound italian, very much so, you have a very strong italian accent like many of us do. Not being from the south doesn't prevent you from that, it just maybe doesn't make you sound the same as most italian-americans and not have their sayings and stuff but yes, I could tell as soon as you started talking you were from Italy.

There are so many Italian accents when speaking in English depending on where you are from. So yeah, you do have an Italian accent, and being Italian myself I could spot it straight away. Oh please, get over it. I am a black woman and think this potential pairing/relationship is cute. I've dated interracially in the past (engaged to a white guy) and now I'm engaged to a black man. I've dated latino men and was asked out by an asian man last year. Live and let live-the only time I have a problem with IR dating is when either gender bashes the men/women of their race to their partners/friends. Thats tacky-otherwise if you're really in love it's none of my business and I have no problem dating anyone.
