I was told the same thing growing up but I actually followed up on these issues and took the consensus opinion that we actually solved these because of stronger pollution controls. People need to stay grounded and not believe solely on talking points and conspiracy theories.

The Ozone depletion got better since we reduced the usage of CFCs, HCFCs and halons (ozone-depleting substances). It will be fixed around 2025, because they are banned since 1974. Acid rain got substantial better since we reduced the release of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide into the atmosphere through air pollution regulations (Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution), since 1983.

I strongly disagree. The 2023 Antarctic ozone hole reached its maximum size on Sept. 21, according to annual satellite and balloon-based measurements made by NASA and NOAA. At 10 million square miles, or 26 million square kilometers, the hole ranked as the 12th largest single-day ozone hole since 1979. I am from NZ where we have the highest rate of skin cancer in the world. Having spent many years in the sun, I am suffering the consequences. On an aside I think old fashioned humour and good sense seem to escaping through this same ozone hole 😎

I just googled it and everything points towards Henry the 8th, being named Henry Tudor, like his father, Henry the 7th. Most websites with facts about Henry the 8th do not even mention his full name, only lists him as Henry the 8th and that he was from the "The house of Tudor". The secrecy about his last name is odd but i don't know why. Lack of credible sources/information? It is known that he was named Henry and was the second monarch from the Tudor bloodline, so i think it's fair to assume that he would have the same surname as his father. So i'm not sure if Ren mixed them up or if he just knows his history really well.

If you do some research you'll find that the hole in the ozone layer is still there but is being repaired. Also, acid rain has gotten much better because of air pollution protocols in those areas. Let me guess, are you anti-vax?

I remember reading in a school science book about the effects of carbon dioxide. A neighbor friend of mine and I did an experiment that obviously refuted the book's "teaching." We wrote the company that published the book with our findings and received a letter that the book was scheduled to be updated and thanked us for our letter. Moral of the story... ABC - Always Be Critical!! Don't believe everything you read. Research research research. I have found that the truth normally lies somewhere in the middle. 😊

I've heard just recently, I don't remember if it was a podcast or what, but a scientist was saying that we're actually greener now than we've ever been because plants and trees need carbon dioxide... and yet there are carbon taxes now, (2 of them in Canada if I remember correctly) as if that's going to somehow solve all the issues due to air pollution. 🤪 While I agree that there are numerous steps that can be taken, and have been, that have helped pollution in general (I lived in CA for 7 years and the smog is no joke)... so much of the "green new deal" is NOT "green" and is just to line the pockets of the corporate elite.
