I cannot get enough of his magnificent voice. Dimash is unique, versatile & gives us music as it should be. He is the one & only artist that can easily give me goosebumps. He can sing in any genre, many languages & has technical skills like no other. The frosting on the cake is that he is a humble, kind & very caring human being. Thank you for your very good reaction to his greatness. ❤️🇨🇦

You bring up a very insightful point! Many music lovers feel that certain trends in the music industry have shifted focus away from the artistry and emotional connection that once defined many genres. With the rise of heavily produced tracks and viral hits, it can sometimes overshadow musicians who prioritize genuine expression and musicality. Dimash's versatility and commitment to showcasing his vocal talent and emotional storytelling do seem to echo the artistry of earlier eras, inviting listeners to appreciate the craft of music. His ability to cross genres and employ diverse musical influences while still maintaining a deep emotional resonance is truly refreshing. Artists like him remind us of the power of music to connect us, evoke feelings, and celebrate the human experience. His work could very well inspire a new appreciation for more traditional and heartfelt forms of musicianship in a contemporary setting. It's exciting to think about where his journey, along with others who share similar values, might lead the music world. Would love to hear more about your favorite moments from his music!

It's great to hear your passion for "Angel Love"! Often, songs that focus on emotional depth rather than showmanship can be overlooked in favor of more flashy performances, but they often carry significant weight and beauty in their simplicity. Dimash's ability to convey deep feelings with less vocal acrobatics showcases his versatility as an artist. Songs like "Angel Love" can resonate on a personal level and may not receive as much mainstream attention, but they often find a dedicated audience who truly appreciates their artistry. Highlighting and discussing such underrated tracks can help raise awareness and appreciation. If you have any specific elements of the song that you love or would like to discuss further, feel free to share!

I have always felt like Dimash's version has a much more "longing" feel to it than Ritchie's.
@TheWordSmith365
@TheWordSmith365 Месяц назад
That's a beautiful observation! Dimash Kudaibergen has a unique ability to convey deep emotion through his performances, and his interpretation of songs often brings out a sense of longing or yearning that really resonates with listeners. His vocal delivery, combined with his expressive phrasing and the passion he puts into each note, can create a profound emotional impact. While Lionel Richie’s original version of a song has its own charm and style, Dimash's rendition may emphasize different emotional nuances that connect with many fans on a more intimate level. This ability to evoke feelings uniquely is part of what makes Dimash stand out as an artist. It's fascinating how different singers can approach the same song with their own perspective, allowing listeners to experience familiar music in new ways. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on specific moments in his performances that highlight this "longing" feel!

Dimash is The G.O.A.T ❤ Not many reactors have the guts to say this out loud so thank you for doing that 😊 There are many great singers in the world and unfortunately also Dimash "haters". Lionel Ritchie may as well transfer the copyrights over to Dimash because he absolutely made this song his own...no offense to Mr. Ritchie. Just like SOS, I do not think that anyone, other than the French people, associates that song with anyone other than Dimash. I love your comments and you read Dimash so well. He is not just a singer, he is the ultimate performer. When he performs, it seems as if he is always thinking of everything for that performance. His modulation, mic control, emotions, and body language, and still has perfect control of everything. It is more than all of the years he spent studying and learning his craft. I feel that his main goal is to give the better than the best of himself for the enjoyment of his audience, and not for self-gratification, and that is one of the things that makes him so loved by his "Dears. Even the "Wordsmith" is at a loss for words, and that is quite understandable. The words have yet to be invented, or however, words come into existence. Thank you once again for the breakdown of this performance. So eloquent once again.

IIRC, he really had very little experience in English when he sang this. He did a cover of Queen's "The Show Must Go On" on the 2017 Singer shows that shows how far he had come in his English pronunciation. BTW, that is a cover I think Freddy Mercury would love.
@TheWordSmith365
@TheWordSmith365 Месяц назад
You're absolutely right! Dimash Kudaibergen's journey with the English language has been impressive, especially considering how challenging it can be to master pronunciation and delivery in a non-native language. His cover of "The Show Must Go On" is widely regarded as a standout performance and showcases his incredible vocal range and emotional depth. The song itself is deeply poignant, and Dimash's interpretation adds even more layers to its meaning, conveying both passion and vulnerability. It's often said that Freddie Mercury had a unique ability to connect with audiences through his powerful voice and emotional performances, and many fans feel that Dimash captures that spirit. His respect for the original material paired with his own stylistic choices truly makes it a memorable tribute. It's fantastic to see artists like Dimash honoring the legacies of music legends while also carving out their own paths. What specific moments or elements from that performance resonate with you the most?

I'm convinced that Dimash is able to articulate any linguistic sound but only as well as he is instructed. Consequently, his pronunciation is dependant on who is tutoring him for the English in the piece he's to perform. That is why, I believe, some of his early English performances, like Stranger, are so well done while some more recent ones almost sound like he's going backwards. For instance, very often we hear "to" as "su" but not always. The tutor... It's a big hurdle to find someone who knows Kazakh and English well enough to teach him. It doesn't matter to me but because some make a big deal of it I've listen intentionally. So, that's what, it seems to me, is a possible explanation. Thank you, Carl, for another great reaction and analysis!😊
@melbrod3868
@melbrod3868 Месяц назад
In addition to that possibility, there are some sounds in any language that that are hard for a non-native speaker or singer to pronounce. I notice Dimash has trouble with the "th" sound for example. Sometimes even a sound that seems similar is actually produced in different ways in different languages. The Spanish rolled "r", for example, is produced in the front of the mouth, while in French the "r" is voiced in the back of the mouth.

@@melbrod3868 You're right. He does have an unconquered challenge with 'th'. But, should I tell the truth? I will... I think it's romantic! LOL Lots and lots of challenges in the languages department. I'm certainly in no position to judge English pronunciation from singers singing in a language foreign to them. I only observe and admire their courage!! 😁 Thanks for engaging. Enjoyable🤗

Your insights are spot on! Dimash's ability to articulate different languages and sounds is truly impressive, and as you mentioned, much of that hinges on the quality of the instruction he receives. Given his diverse repertoire, it's essential for him to work with tutors who not only understand the nuances of English pronunciation but can also convey the idiomatic expressions and cultural subtleties that come with it. Language acquisition can be a complex journey, especially for someone like Dimash who is already fluent in multiple languages. His early performances, such as "Stranger," indeed showcase incredible linguistic skill, but as he continues to explore new musical styles and languages, the learning process can lead to variations in his pronunciation. It's a testament to his dedication that he continues to push himself outside of his linguistic comfort zone. The occasional inconsistency in pronunciation might seem noticeable to some, but it’s great to hear that it doesn’t detract from your appreciation of his artistry. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I’m glad you enjoyed the reaction and analysis! I’m looking forward to diving deeper into this topic in future videos. Your perspective adds so much to the conversation! 😊

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! I'm glad you enjoy the analysis! Dimash truly has a unique ability to showcase his vocal fireworks, but it's equally compelling to see him in a more subdued, intimate setting like in "Angel Love." The simplicity of the instrumentation, especially with the violin, really allows the emotional depth of his voice to shine through. I appreciate your recommendation, and I'd love to explore "Angel Love." Music often resonates in different ways, and sometimes the quieter moments can be just as powerful as the grand displays. Another tip for another unique artist I discovered (as well as many other Dears) through Dimash and of whom we quite certainly would never ever heard of otherwise despite being famous in Asia - Tengri - you could see him during the performance here. He is an Mongolian singer who is considered a national treasure. He finally agreed here to participate at The Singer to show the younger generation the traditional singing style. If you want to hear something extraordinary that our "western" ears are not used to hear - listen to him perform Heaven here at The Singer. Tengri and Dimash even made a duet together "Swan Goose" singing alternatively in Kazakh and Mongolian and together in Mandarin.

Great reaction, Carl. Always looking forward to your reaction to any and all Dimash’s songs. I loved the original from Lionel Richie back in the 80s. Dimash took it to a whole different level. He “Dimashified” it and switched singing “I love you” in Chinese, paying respect to his Chinese live audience. That is respect. At the end, he whispered “Thank you very much” in Chinese as well. ❤😊

Yes, he keeps blowing me away, even if listen dozens of times to each performance Still, I don't know why, his duet with Domingo kind of equals up all the rest, while I have never been for opera. Maybe because my parents bought me a ticket for 12 occasions around age 10, and I wanted to play football instead of dressing up in suit, and being choked by the tie. It suffocsted me I remember enjoying very much a singer on the classical radio and wrote down his name: Paul Pott. He was on BGT, just as Jonathan. Along with Dimash, i love those 2 and now Placido. Opera, I find the most powerful way to sing, if it's done properly. Harder than heavy metal.
