My best friend died at the same hospital with similar issues, she was also a nurse am very proud of this guy is about time people know their rights and not be scared of court.

Sure boss we are trying our best, I know in every institution there will always be some bad nuts but we will work earnestly to deliver the best of care to our patients and also fight against all bad health workers in the system. Thanks for ur submission

It's a good precedent.... Though the damage has been caused already. I lost my only brother-in-law at one hospital in the Ashanti region same way and I can't forget, I will one day take up the case again. Insha Allah. Our healthcare personnel's act as if they are doing us favour for taking that profession 😡😡😡

I think there needs to be a job switch festival every year in Ghana Most of these nurses had no dreams of the working where they are now Hardship pushed them to attend nursing training cos of the allowance, or cos they couldn’t get into the uni of their choice due to poor grades

That same negligence happened in one of the government hospital in Lomé too and all the nurses and doctor on duty in the department were sack by the government.

They did the same thing to my uncle during his prostate surgery at Komfo Anokye but because the family does have money we wasn't able to take them to court but I leave them to the gods of our land. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

The same thing happened to a friend in one of the hospital in weija, one of the nurses was celebrating her birthday rather than taking care of the lady and the worst part is they waited till the lady collapse before attending to her. The baby had to die in her and they had to operate her and removed her womb.

I lost my wife and child in same situation in sunyani regional hospital in 2012 i was going to sue them but the lady who took my wife to the hospital said she can't not testify in court so i have to let go,and move on with my life.

My brother she is a nurse herself but in another hospital, she believes what happened in the region hospital can in the place she's is working because it was the negligence of the Doctors and nurses who were in charge that day.

No amount will back the lost but keeping silent over these issues wouldn't stop or improve, justice must be employed to keep the hospital in line. Few weeks ago I had a bad experience at 37 military hospital.

Hmmm, Ridge Hospital. I almost lost my wife after a similar surgery. Though we lost the child, I quickly transferred her to a different private hospital.

Govt to support the hospitals too ...the conditions under which some doctors and nurses work is depressing......they cannot conjure instruments to work with and no drug syndrome ....you have to be a health assistant and sleep with mosquitoes to be ready to trek for drugs or support your patient too .

Ghana health care workers think they are doing patients favors. They speak to patients the way they want, dragging their feet when they need to respond quickly to emergencies. This is never done in the white man’s land. What at all is wrong with black folks!!!

4 years, one case. It take endurance to get through this. Women die at the Madina Polyclinjc all the time and the hospital gets away with it. I got Francis Sasu Xavier to get some GHS400k for a man who lost his wife under similar circumstances some years back. GHS400k is nothing but at least it helped the man to take care of their three kids. The man also died recently.

The negligence of many Ghanaian healthcare workers are over the top. They think they are doing patients favors, meanwhile they are being paid for their job. It’s time for them to know that it’s patients who have rights and they are there to serve. They should do their work with all diligence and give patients the utmost care for which they are given monthly salary. I wonder what is wrong with black folks!!!!!

This is how it should be. Clinical negligence has been killing millions of people in Ghana and because people don't see it to be an issue, or even if they do, they cannot usually get the support they need and also, the authorities cannot be bothered, the clinicians always get away with it. Congratulations to the guy (though it can never restore the loss) it probably will get the clinicians think and have some respect for life. In Ghana, many deaths could have been avoided but because no body is holding anybody responsible, there hasn't been any improvement. Thanks to the gentleman for fighting a good fight that will save others.

12th Nov 2015,a foolish Dr in Korle-bu almost killed my wife and unborn baby.This Dr has night duties and he was parked just by me at the car park to sleep the whole night NOT attending to the labor ward in which my wife was.hmm not easy oo only God saved my wife and baby. I only got to know about this when my best friends wife was a student by then in the Korle-bu hospital and she came around in the morning to check on my wife and of course she was allowed in to check on my wife because she was also a nurse in her uniform .massa this people are killing innocent souls oo 😢
