Speaking of Yellowstone..I won the online auction of the Yellowstone photos so this means You Won too. They are "on route" too you already. Enjoy them with your patch jacket!
Was a treat to meet you at the flea market a few weeks ago! Your videos are so informative and entertaining! Your new jacket with all the patches...WOW! It'll be fun for you to wear around. If you ever decide to "part it out" (haha) and sell the patches individually, we'd all be interested to see the results of those sales! And the green medical cabinet... so glad you bought that...swoooon! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
I am already 77 almost 78 yrs. old. Are we Vintage or Antique? Bahaha. It’s so nice to know our age group finds such enjoyment from your sweet channel. ♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️👍🏽
As one of my friends used to say if I was debating whether I had room for the new purchase " get rid of some of your ugly stuff and make room for this". It always makes me smile when I remember the fun of finding something special. I love the medical cabinet.
I saw him in Mammoth Lakes, CA in 1972, maybe ‘73… a long time ago. He was the Bee’s Knees. I of course was screening into my phone on this find. I won’t soon forget this patch jacket… ♥️❤️🖤🤍💛💚👍🏽
Jean Claude Killy was an awesome World Cup and Olympic Alpine skier …3 Golds and a hottie in our day as well….well just maybe because he was French! Oooolala
I thought of you twice while I was driving to Missouri. Saw a truck with PAM on the side. And, a woman sitting in front of me at a road side stop had on a shirt that said "Yellowstone Dutton Ranch"!! Love the medical cabinet. Mint condition and a very good price. Love the way you get excited when you discover something in your haul you didn't see initially. Too cute.
Love the specs! Renee, look at it from the other side, too. Most people don't have a lot of sales. Maybe one or two every few years, and it's tough to get everything halfway clean, organized and priced. Where I live many folks will turn and walk away if there are no prices. When I used to have sales, I would always put in the paper...No Early Sales. Otherwise people will ring your bell at 5 in the morning. He was just a stickler for no early sales like I am. Doesn't really mean he was crotchety. That cabinet is the bomb-diggity! 🌠🌟☄⭐
For $30, I would have bought that cabinet in 10 seconds. Even if you can't find someplace for that gorgeous piece, you would have absolutely no trouble selling it. What a score!!
I loved the little book with messages that are so old. We, my generation, born after WW2, all had them and we got all our friends and family to write in them. They were known as Autograph Books. Loved all the other treasures you found.
Oh my goodness, all loved the cabinet too! I collected ornaments for years, that was my favorite thing to do. I sold Christmas Around the World and I still have alot of their ornaments.
I was sitting here saying get it get it-it is awesome! I am so glad you got the green cabinet-it is adorable! Shoot, you could use it as a bedside table, in your bathroom, kitchen, anywhere! GREAT PURCHASE-I would have got that also! My daughter has the tall medical cabinet on the curvy legs, that I bought years ago-they are so awesome! Love the video-fun stuff! Take care, Be safe-Keep JUNKING!
I love the medical cabinet I was praying you picked it up. If you have room in your bathroom it would be perfect for toiletries, the tray would be good to hold makeup.
Good video. You got a great deal on that medical cabinet for $30. If the patches are ironed on to the jacket, you might be able to put a towel on the patch and then put an iron on it and that might bring them off. Nice haul.
I'm so glad you got that green cabinet. I was like Renee you will be so upset with yourself if you don't buy that. Everything was so nice. You did have a good day. I enjoyed going with you. Thanks for taking me!♥️💞💞🙏🙏🙏🎶🎶🎶🐦🐈🌞🏞️🐤
The 80's were a tough time for me . I was struggling to keep my first roof over my head & food in the fridge .I look back now at 58 and think ..I DID IT MY WAY !! 😂 I might of struggled .....kicking & screaming all the way but I did it on my own and accomplished it with no help . So I ❤ it when you say you ❤ the 80's because I do too NOW 😊 I love your display cabinet! ! It actually matches my headboard & footboard tto my bed . $ 30 What a DEAL
I love seeing your yard sale and flea market videos right now. I have been stuck in the house and in bed totally early on since May 25th because of injuring my hip. I cannot go to any yard sales for now. Not something to do with a walker. Now that I can sit in a chair for a few hours at a time I am just working on the massive stash in my house. I love the paper you rescue which is my favorite thing. Pity the hoarder I inherited from did not save cool ephemera.
What a cool jacket. Loved the patches. What a great deal for five bucks! What a treasure. Love the Xmas finds. That man was rude. Lol Glad you got the doctor cabinet. Great finds today Rene!
Awesome haul Renee!! I felt like the Cowardly Lion form the Wizard of Oz, in the orchard, when the gentleman said, "too early". "Come on Dorothy, we don't want any of THOSE apples, they probably have WORMS!" Haha
Aha. An autograph book. I still have mine from 8 th grade graduation . so glad you got the cabinet. . I was holding my breath that you would. Phoey. On the seller guy
That crotchety old man was hilarious, making you leave. Love love love that little mint green cabinet. I think one just like that was in my family doctor's office when I was a kid, no lie. I also loved his old 10 cent glass bottled coke machine out in his lobby. I recognized taco stack's jeep and saw his bright tennis shoes as you were leaving Mr. Cheap 🤣
Jean Claude Killy was a French Alpine skier Olympic medalist. Huge in his day for alpine skiers. That's a gem of a patch to snatch. Wonderful Christmas finds that remind me of my childhood and my mother who had many of those Christmas linens.
I must say I love your glasses, they remind me of the sky blue pearl I had when I was eight in 1969, thank you for sharing it sure brought back memories!
That was an older pair that I don't wear that often.. Draper & James brand, from my local eye doctor. She carries some nice frames... her predecessor used to carry vintage frames but I could never find a pair that fit my face correctly!
That cabinet is soooo cool! I'm so so glad you snagged it. It's going to look amazing however you end up decorating it. I'm happy this weekend yard sales turned out to be good ones for you. I finally found a vintage Halloween postcard out in the wild. I wish you could have gone to this estate sale with me, so much ephemera. Tons of old photos, newspapers, magazines, greeting cards, bills, and notes. She kept everything. And it was everywhere lol! But as far as the postcard it was in a stack of old cards. I was so excited 😀
In my experience, the iron on glue from patches often doesn't last that long, though many washes. I'd look carefully to see if they are sewn on. If so, you may be able to pick out the stitches.
Great price for that medical cabinet! I sell medical supplies and equipment and you have a great item there! So cool~ Good buy!! You did great on this purchase!!
I ‘ve had that once happened to me , so I left and didn’t go back!Even when she told me you can come back later ,when it’s opened. That is the rudest thing ever.
Hi Renee. The medicine cabinet looks so cute. I love the jacket the best. I love the patches that are on the jacket. Keep it the way it is, do not change a thing. All the other things look great. Renee, don't let people push you around. I am glad you did not buy anything from him. God Bless you Renee. Stay safe. Maria.❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💗💗💗💗💗💗💙💙💙💙💗💗💗💗💗💗❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🖐🖐🖐🖐🖐🖐👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤
Oh wow what amazing finds! That cabinet is gorgeous. I love the colour and what a great idea to display your Christmas bits and pieces on. What a find for $30! I think if you'd passed on it I'd feel sick for you as it's such a rare, and unique, piece. The Christmas bits and pieces are gorgeous too. I love vintage linen in any shape or form, but how lucky to find those towels in such great condition, well it all looks in great condition. The jacket is so cool You definitely will rock the flea market wearing that cool number. Great video x
@@PaperandMoose I know Renee that you do check out the live storage auctions but don't dismiss the online ones. (Specifically Lockerfox ) Keep browsing and the right one might show up and just like the yard sale today.. right place right time. I see quite a few this week in your zip code..a few at $50 even. Everybody bids last minute so probably not Final Price but Lockerfox doesn't have as many viewers-hence less bidders. *My Lockerfox win this week was just $110. I was bidding on the 5x5 partly for the high quality totes I could use.. about 14 in Unit. The empty totes (at Retail) would likely more than $110. About 10 totes were Christmas Decor, Lots of Nutcrakers and ornaments--high end ones too. Some were Waterford. But the BIG reward was finding in a trunk 2 quality leather (in great shape) Tumi Business/travel type satchels. New, some of these sell in the $400-$500 range. Krazy prices! Few bidders that day (less competition maybe?) and just like your yard sale-right place-right time. You just never KNOW what you might find. Don't dismiss the online auctions---if at the right price... BECAUSE you just never know what you might find.
I am so glad you got the medical cabinet!! The bargain of the year! The jacket with the patches is awesome also! You have such great sales in your area!
CONGRATS More great finds. Loved the jacket with the patches, a great pickup. The Astros patch feature the Astrodome where the Houston Astros used to play major league ball. In the 60's the astrodome was the first multi sports domed stadium nicknamed the 8th Wonder of the World. The vision of Judge Roy Hofheinz. The patch features the dome with baseballs orbiting around it. This was the logo for our baseball team. The Houston Astros short for Astronauts, they played there from 1965- 1999. Hence you have Nasa patches included on the jacket as well. A definite tribute to Houston's role in the space program. If you ever decide to part them out, you could bundle those 3 for sure. Late to this video but enjoyed it.
Great Finds! You had me stressed out with the title! I was waiting for someone to yell at you to leave! I am always surprised that nobody complains you are taping. I hope you show us your Christmas Décor in the new green cabinet this year..
Cute frames. Glad you got the cabinet and the box with the linens!! I wouldn't have gone back to the sale either!! Good for you!! Great video! The jacket has a lot of history on it. I doubt you could buy 1 patch for what you paid for the jacket. Nice find!!
Love the medical cabinet! Would not have taken me but a second to say yes to the cabinet. I would make room. Lol! Glad you got it. Awesome patch jacket.
That small book is a Autograph Book. You got your friends, teachers, club members to sign it. I have a family one back to the mid 1800. Just a tip, if you are going to remove the patches I use a small pointed sharp scissors to gently sip the stitches as I have ruined patches in the past using a stitch ripper. Don't be in a hurry to do that as it is amazing the way it is.
LOL 7:25 Taco's legs. The few times I've had yard sales and people came early, I just let them on in. I'd hate to lose a potential customer! The medical cabinet -- what a find Renee!
Oh goodness, what a mean man…too early to give him your money. Whatever happened to being gracious to others? All he had to say was if you don’t mind waiting a moment I am sure you would have helped him set up. I am glad you didn’t go back.
You certainly had a great day finding treasures!!! The "patch" jacket....Chemical Leaman Tank Lines was a trucking company and they had a terminal in Nazareth for many years. They hauled liquids and also were a cement carrier..very fitting for the "cement belt" area. My late husband was an over the road driver for Chemical and retired from there. I have his "trucker" jacket, a safety award, and a whole slew of the patches. The patch that you have on that jacket is a very vintage one. (LOL, hope I didn't put anyone to sleep with this post!) Loved all of the Christmas textiles!!!
Mindy, personally I very much enjoyed your history-behind-the-patch, thank you very much for explaining it so well. I live in California so all of this history about the East Coast is quite interesting to me. I have not been to New Jersey since 1962. Much has changed everywhere! 👍😘
Like many others said, the cabinet is awesome!!!! I had a thought for the little placecard holders, put vintage Christmas cards in them! Would be a great way to display them!
