I really think you need to change the name of this channel. The Boring Channel? Nope, nothing boring about it. Inspiring? Yes! Motivating?Yes! Relaxing? Oh YES! You are the hardest working man I've ever seen, and you take pride in your work and the quality you provide. This place is a prime example; you could have just mowed and edged a little and all the neighbors would have been thrilled at the improvement. But no, you worked until you made it BEAUTIFUL! It's obvious that someone once cared about and for this little place....that back patio and all the curved walkways are stunning! Thank you for making the world a little better and a lot prettier one overgrown yard at a time. Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe.
My Neighbours just call the council and complain if a fine travels over the fence.. our household has a lot of health issues and aren't able to attend to the yard as it is too difficult..
I noticed that you have a skill in talking with the inquisitive neighbors. You let them talk and then you pause long enough for them to get all the questions and assumptions out of their system. You pause again and explain what you are doing. It is a soft skill that not a lot of people have. You have what it takes to deal with people in any business environment.
I am thinking to myself, why I am I watching this channel almost everyday. It is relaxing and I like to watch kindness being given out freely. Thank God that still exists these days. lol from Canada.
In 1979, I joined the Army. Kevin, you weren't even born! Ha! Keep up the good work. I like watching your channel and seeing the transformations the yards undergo. ❤😊
1979, the last year I spent as a single lady and the year I made the best money ever, working as a laborer on a bridge construction job, where I also meet my hubby of 44 years and counting. OH MY ACHING BACK!!!!!! That was a ton of grass clippings! Fantastic transformation. 💛s of gold transforming neglected islands allacross America making your neighborhoods look better. God bless, be safe and stay well.
If my neighbors grass ever gets fairly long I text them & ask if they need help. Especially my single mom neighbors. I have always had my boys mow & shovel their driveways. Why would you ignore it & let it get that out of control? People aren’t good neighbors anymore. You are amazing for all that you do.
@pamkammann1176 when I was 72 the house next door went into foreclosure. For five years I kept the front and back yards mowed and cleaned up to avoid having it look empty. At the same time on the other side of me was my friendly neighbor who was very ill so I did her yards for four years until she passed away. I am 79 and do all my yard work. I do have a very sweet new neighbor who is quick to give me a hand when I get overwhelmed. The first time anyone has offered to help me.
Years ago my husband became disabled and unable to work. I became his fulltime caretaker. I had no time to keep up the yard. We had lived in this subdivision almost twenty years. I had mowed neighbors yards in need from time to time through the years. When we could have used help for the yard, not one neighbor stepped forward to offer to help. I am 70 years old now living rural with my husband. We were both raised in small rural towns. We retired to another state and all of us neighbors come to the aid of each other when needed. You can keep subdivision living. Country folk know what being a good neighbor means.
My word it’s like you’ve mowed a field of hay the amount of grass cuttings there is. Epic job Kevin. I bet the neighbours are delighted. Take care, watch that back 🌸
beautiful job. 1979 I was 26 years old with two tiny children when my husband died from skin cancer. he was 27. it was January. God played a mighty hand in my life as a wonderful man came into it willing to take on a young widow with 2 small kids and love them like his own. We married in Nov of the same year. 1979. it was the worst of times, it was the best of times.. We are still married with 2 more ki ds. keep up the great work
I lost my husband also. He was only 35. He has been in heaven now for 10 years. I've had many offers , but I just can't move forward. I love your bravery and love you found love. ❤🙏🫶
In 1979 I was living in Tucson, Arizona with my husband in the military. Unfortunately, I was having a lot of health problems and ended up having to have a kidney removed. After that, I had one child and then I had another and they are the blessings of my life. I also now have two grandchildren. God has been good to me and bless me with a wonderful life.
In 1979 (Nov)my nephew was born, I was 13 and he was the apple of my eye. He passed away August 2008. He still brings a smile to me with all the memories he had with me and his family.
Once upon a time, somebody sure loved that place. The curvy sidewalks and the brickwork in the back gave it like a fairy tale vibe. Thank you for bringing it back to life! I know the neighbors are tickled to death!
You are a hard worker, Kevin. Your wife is a sweetheart. She is a great Mom, listening to your baby boy running and screaming, having fun through the house. You have anice family.
In 1979, I was 2 years old. I have absolutely no idea what I was doing, but I can guess I was probably getting into everything and driving my Mama crazy - LOL 😂 they don’t call them terrible twos for nothing! You did an awesome job! This project came out phenomenally. I know the neighbors appreciate what you did. I love the winding sidewalk. Thanks for helping those two turtles! 🐢 ❤
Enjoyed the video. 1979 quarter, 2 turtles, and throwing out some seeds. Glad you didn't hurt your back loading up the tarp full of grass clippings. Good to close the back door. Thank you for not only doing this good work but taking the time to create these videos.
This was a great video. You don't always get to remove the cuttings, but it looked great. Please watch out for your back. That last tarp was way too heavy. Prayers for you and all your family.
This is the first time I've seen you in a while. You have changed for the better. Love the way you use your noodle and machinery to save your body. Yes you were foolish to tax your body to lift a load of clippings. Try "me first" next time. Moderation my good man. Want you to live long enough to dance at your kids weddings. You should be very proud of the quality of your contributions to your community as well as all those communities you travel through. You are a blessing to many you meet along the way. Somewhat of a Johnny Apple Seed. Live long, be well & strong, continue giving of yourself like your dad - prosper!
I think what you do is great and especially for elderly people I haven't been watching you that long but you do a great service for people who really need it
In 1979 I had my only child....a son. You remind me of him, he's kind, loving, and an excellent father. Love to watch you transform a yard. Take care Be safe
I hope you didn’t hurt your back! I enjoy watching your videos. You remind me so much of my brother that has passed away. Your sense of humor and how kind you are to others. Bless you and love to you and your family. 🥰♥️💐
I know the neighbors appreciate your hard work. I think it makes the neighborhoods feel safer. Appreciate how you watch out for the wildlife like the turtles.
In 1979, I was a freshman in high school. I built an igloo (using a 5 gallon bucket) in my backyard from the Winter blizzard that hit that year. I'll see if I can find the newspaper clipping where my mom submitted the photo to the local newspaper. I had a blast! 😃
I was born in '78 so i was a baby in '79. That sidewalk in back came outta nowhere. Amazing work, as always. (Wish you'd had some help lifting that grass.)
Kevin and I were in sync on this one! He asked which bag of seed and I said hummingbird and he picked hummingbird and then when he was taking the last big branch off the roof, I said oh you got it! And then he said I got it! So yeah I’m right there with you Kevin. Great job.❤
There is absolutely nothing boring about any of your channels. You walk with Christ every day. God bless you all and many prayers 🙏🏻 ❤️ Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister 🙏🏻 ❤️
You, sir, are a BEAST. Mowing with a zero turn AND blowing? Com'on! Is that even possible? And don't think I didn't notice how good you are with that flat blade.
I look forward to your videos every week. I like that you pick up grass clippings. It makes everything look sharper and cleaner. Thank you for helping this neighborhood out!!
1979 was the year my husband and I had our miracle baby. After years of being told we would never conceive, we had a beautiful baby boy. God sure does work in mysterious ways, amen ?❤
I also had my fourth daughter that year, but my husband cross trained from enlisted to officer in the Air Force, unfortunately while he was away at schooling his Father passed away. Lots happen in 1979.
Aloha from Oahu,Hawaii! I moved here from Shreveport, Louisiana since the end of February this year. I've been Following You Since Then. I just needed to let you know Man. You're Making a Big Difference Within The Community. I Thank You So Much for All Your Remarkable Videos!!!! Really & Truly Hope that It will Inspire ALOT Of Young People Out There than getting into Trouble.
Awesome Job! You should get big grass bags for the grass so it's easier to toss in the dumper. I'm L❤VING that you rake it up and mow it in the grass catcher looks sooooo much better. If you watch Great Cuts...George from Australia he is particular about everything he does and it looks Incredible for the gardens. ❤❤❤ Can't wait to see next weeks!!!!!❤
28:11 hi I live in England and I so wish there was someone like you that worked here . I can’t manage and I look after 3 disabled adults in our house . But keep doing what u do u are amazing x❤
Love the fact that you pick things up off the ground and don’t cut around them. It just takes a few minutes, but adds to the yard and also signifies. This is a completed property not where people go. Oh, there’s some trash there will add more to it excellent work as always.
Hi Kevin! Really a beautiful job on this property. You made the neighborhood proud! Thanks for giving so much to people in need...it is appreciated. I. Love the last scene.. those pulll off days are over 😂❤
you do a very good job at what you do. wish there were other people like you. You help alot of the elderly people who really need help. Keep up the good job.
1979 I was 8 yrs old and growing up in DC was beautiful. HipHop was fairly new but DC GoGo was (is) everything. I was in the choir, did cheerleading, ceramics, ran track & was on the swim team. Wonderful childhood
Thanks, Kevin. Beautiful , as usual. I still don’t understand why neighbors don’t mow it to help keep their own property safe and clean. Do it to at least keep the critters at bay.
In 1979 I was 8 years old Number 1 single was “Lay your love on me” Paid maternity leave was established. Sony releases the Walkman. Soviet Union invades Afghanistan. Margaret Thatcher was elected prime minister in Australia. Trivial Pursuit the game was launched. Sahara desert has 30 minutes of snow. ❄️ While variety of good and not so good events. Great video by the way. I love the way you now pick up the grass. Makes your transformations look even better. ❤
Wow! In 1 hour of posting you already have a 37%👍🏼. 7,109 views with 2.6k 👍🏼 and the numbers are climbing fast. Plus you did a fantastic job on this property!! You’re such a blessing!! In 1979 my Grammie, who I was very close to, and my grandpa both passed away within 28-30 hours of each other. We had just moved to Northern California 6 months before and so my mom went to the to LA area for several weeks and stayed with my Grammie so she could visit and spend my grandpa’s last days with him, because he was in the hospital and very close to passing due to cancer. But on March 20th at like 2am (The day after my 15th birthday) her mom (Grammie), out of nowhere, passed away from a heart attack and on March 21st in the morning her dad, my grandpa, passed away. Her parents had been divorced for over 18 years, yet, they both passed away within 30 hours of each other. My dad, my 3 brothers and I flew down to LA the day my Grammie passed so we were able to say goodbye to my grandpa that day. It still blows my mind that they both passed within a day of each other but hadn’t talked in 18 years ❤❤❤❤❤
In 1979, I was a junior in high school in Iowa Falls, Iowa!!! Great job making this place look better!!! I loved that curvy sidewalk in the back that you uncovered!
Hi Kevin - what a backyard revalation, one of the more beautiful ones. Someone put a lot of love, thought and skill into the patio & those curly pathways. Pretty nice place to fire up the grill and hang out with friends for a while. Great episode, nice job! Five Highs for you 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Kevin awesome job cleaning up this yard, I know the neighbors are thankful for cleaning it up now it's not growing in their yards. God bless the neighbors and their Family's. God bless you Kevin God bless your Family
Good morning Teresa here I live in Arkansas been watching for a long time. I do post much cause no says anything back. That's ok. May God Bless You All. Have a blessed day keep up the good work .
I was a freshman in high school during that time on Roxbury, Ma. The price of gas was 86 cents a gallon. 70 cents for a dozen eggs, 99 cents for 1lb ground beef, $1.57 for a gal. of milk. Good old days! A dollar went farther! ❤🙂Great Video! Love the clean up! Watching from Norfolk Va.
Thank you for picking this abandoned home! Maybe the owners might see it on RU-vid and reclaim it! You do such a good job! We love you and your videos!
In 1979, I saw my first concert in a stadium. Iron Maiden opened for Judas Priest.😅 My taste has changed a lot since then. I still like the song, Run to the Hills. Yeah I'm 59 now and can't even think about going to anymore events. Excellent job, I must say! Stay blessed and happy trails! 🧡🕯️🙏🏼🪶🌞
Awesome transformation! I love the job you did on this property. The two direct neighbors should be ecstatic about the results. Thank you for shutting the back door. Maybe now the neighbors will be motivated to keep it up?
Summer of 1979 we had a blackout.I was just about eight years old but still remember. Judging by the spotlight still lit over the garage that house still has power feeding it.Usually when a house is vacant for a while and no ones paying the utility bill they shut it off. Also can be a fire hazard when vacant especially if squatters are living in there.
As always, great job. It looks so much better! You definitely don't talk too much. I love how you watch out for the box turtles. I have a Three-toed Box turtle. They aren't as pretty as the Eastern or Ornate, but they're sweet & smart too. I live in Jackson, MS. On the news (WLBT 3) a few days ago, they were talking about the large number of properties here that are very overgrown. So, if you are ever in the area looking for something to do, Jackson can keep you busy.
1979.... I was too young to remember. Probably running around causing chaos for my mother. Thank you for the wonderful video. Putting smiles on people's faces is just a blessing to be able to dish out. Thank you.
I'm surprised you don't get blisters on your hands, when usi g a shovel. You and your Dad are good people helping everyone. Take it easy, don't work so hard. Take care.
This place looks great! I got a little emotional when you worked on the back yard. It was obvious that somebody loved this house at one time, with all the little touches. Nice job!
Hi love your videos as always .Thanks for helping that little turtle and helping people all the time.God sure will touch your whole family your all a blessing to the world. Just so ya know I was behind you while you load the grass clippings haha . Can’t wait till Rachel and the kids go out with you to watch the love you all have for each other.God be with you all, be safe out there❤❤🫂🫂🫂🫂🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍
Great job, Kevin! 🎉❤ you DO NOT talk too much. I love the commentary. I'm watching in August 2024 from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 Yah those box turtles are kinda neat. Keep on clipping Bro. 👍🫂🥳🌟
On January 1st, 1979, I had been married for a day and a half. We were married for nearly 37 years. He went home to be with the Lord almost 9 years ago. I still miss him every day. Your channel helps me get through some of them. ❤
God bless you & yours for all you do! In 1979, I gave brith to our second child, a baby girl. Our first born is named Kevin. My husband had joined the Army right before Iran happened. He finished basic training in Missouri, then we moved to San Antonio, Texas!
