He was IN THE COURTROOM During Closing Arguments! Inside Look at JURY REACTION! Depp v Heard! 

Hey everyone! As some of you may know, Rob and I stayed up until 5 am to film this video due to schedules and technical issues! So thank you for bearing with us! A few additional comments: 1) Some viewers misunderstood this part. Our opinion of Ben Rottenborn’s closing is in no way a reflection of who’s side we are on or what we think of him overall. Again, we’re commenting on the techniques and behaviors. One of the first things we learn in interrogation training is that if you let your biases about someone affect your analysis, your analysis is worthless. Absolutes and emotional convictions are useless when it comes to analysis. If you can’t look at each part separately without getting emotionally triggered, you cannot be objective. His techniques were well thought out despite what any of us personally think of him. 2) Concerning Amber not writing anything down. Yes, we’ve seen the video of her not writing anything down at a specific moment. But it is beyond silly to assume that just because she sometimes doesn’t write anything that means she never wrote anything down ever. So to those commenting that she wasn’t writing anything down on the post its; that’s not a reasonable assumption, Elaine didn’t look confused as one would if they were handed a blank note, she seemed unimpressed, I believe there was something on that note that she didn’t find too important. It’s one thing to try to appear busy, it’s another to pass around blank pages to your lawyers. Let’s be reasonable 3) I can’t speak for Rob but I myself do not believe that Amber has provided sufficient evidence to back up what she’s saying, furthermore she has had way too many inconsistencies in her story. As far as I’m concerned, Ben Rottenborn is fighting an uphill battle, no matter how good his closing was, the evidence speaks louder. I do not know, nor have I ever claimed to know, what the jury is going to decide but I personally feel the evidence is lacking. 4) Many of you are asking about Elaine’s closing. Just remember: When Johnny said, "Don't tell me what it's like to be punched." Amber did NOT say, "But I do know what it's like to be punched because you've punched me!" No, she went off on a tangent trying to diminish how badly she beat him. If he had ever punched her, would she really NOT MENTION that when he said something like that?

Camille's closing arguments were powerful, gripping, and incredibly moving. It was better than anything Hollywood could've ever written. Her passion and unshakable belief in her client was inspiring. I truly believe she has secured a win for Johnny.

It was disgusting for me when I heard Rottenborne said if there's one single time JD abused AH, AH wins. And he pointed out that smashing cabinets, using bad language in text messages were are examples of abuse. I mean seriously, if those actions of conveying our anger are considered abuse, then everyone of us can be considered as an abuser or a victim in our life. He was just trying to sell from a weak angle and distract us from the serious fact the AH lied about her stories or not having any evidences. I would say, yes he used great techniques in his closing argument, however, the content of his argument is total BS. --- Coming back after the verdict has been reached. GOOD WIN JD!!!! Here comes the justice!!! P.S. whoever said the law was on her side in my comments previously, emm I'm sorry. OBJECTION and BYEBYE.

It says a lot that Camille's argument focused on the evidence of this case, but Rottenborn's argument was about believing women in general, about abuse survivors in general. Amber's only hope is relying on the credibility of other abuse survivors, because she herself doesn't have a case.

Being a juror two times, I did not think AH attorney moving back and forth would not move me to think he was engaging me as a juror over Camille standing still. During both trials that I was a juror on, I have seen both styles in closing and neither style made a difference in the outcome of my vote in deliberation. None of us focused on how the style of the attorneys closing determined our decision. We based our decision of guilt or innocent only on the facts, not the style of how the attorney presented his/her closing, or whether one engaged us over the other. It’s the facts presented in the case that in both trials we based our decision on, not the closing.

It truly feels like we’re telling a rape victim “If you find ONE example of them possibly, potentially, insinuating, implying, they asked for it, it isn’t rape. Disregard the horrific rape and look at the one time she text and said he was nice”. Disgusting this wouldn’t be a civil case if roles were reversed, JD would be going to prison, just as AH should.

Regardless of how Rottenborn addressed the jury he came across to me as arrogant, rude, condescending, angry and borderline violent throughout the case. If I was on the jury I wouldn't have been receptive to anything he said.

The one thing that came to mind after watching the closing arguments from both sides was that Camille was talking TO the jury and Rottenborn was talking AT them. Camille's first statement was more engaging and allowed the jury to put things in perspective with the facts she presented. Even though Rottenborn had some solid arguments, I felt like he was lecturing the jury more than he was trying to be engaging. It also didn't help his case that Elaine completely diminished the impact Rottenborn had with her spastic word salad. Camille followed and completely dismantled their arguments and effectively reminded the jury what this is actually about. A defamation trial which was the result of false accusations.

As someone who has been sexually abused by two family members and ended up in two domestic violence relationships this case is breaking my heart especially when you hear Johnny apologise on tape for amber hitting him woman like her make it so hard for men to step up when they are going through domestic violence her lies are disgusting honestly and her eye rolls and eating biscuits on tape in court should never be allowed same with the way she looks for poor me for sympathy from the jury and drinking water her attention and bad attitude shows through the camera I've never heard of amber heard until this case and as a woman of course you want to support others of domestic violence but from day one you can tell she's not telling the truth I hope Johnny after this case can get closure from this woman and move forward with his family and friends

Those notes Amber's writing throughout the closing shows how much of a control freak she is. She could scribble and keep scribbling to keep from boredom, but to keep passing notes to her lawyers during closing. It's like she wants to tell them how to do their closing. She wants to experienced professionals how to do their jobs they trained for and have been doing for years. Edit- Rottenborn did a good closing. I hope it doesn't mislead the jury because we all know she wasn't talking about u kind and unpleasant words been spoken to her, she wasn't talking about psychological abuse either. She keeps saying it's not about Johnny one minute, then the next it's about Johnny, that's why I wrote the OPED because she knows people will come out of the woodworks to support Johnny. It will be a gross miscarriage of justice if the jury lets her walk away just because Johnny said some awful words to her and about her. Most of his text messages were to his friends.

Rottenborn is trying his best but the jury has the context now so that text doesn't land the blow he thinks it does. The jury has seen with their own eyes and heard with their own ears Amber's lies, manipulation, and gaslighting. They've seen and heard Johnny's honesty and pain. They know what Amber did to him and understand why he would be angry enough to say things like that. And it was to a friend, not to Amber herself. If anything, Johnny has shown he has incredible restraint when it comes to Amber and the things she said and did to him and I think the jury sees that. Personally for me, Rottenborn comes off as condescending and complicit in the gaslighting Amber did on the stand. He's grasping at straws. I would personally be offended at his grandstanding. It doesn't come off as sincere to me. Contrast that with Ben Chew and Camille Vasquez and it is night and day.

When you mentioned the sister’s smirk at the mention of all the evidence my mind went straight to pride/ownership. The sister helped to come up with and execute a lot of the fake evidence…

I was MORE concerned about Amber's smirks and laughing during closing arguments rather than Johnny taking a drink of coffee! 💯

The problem with Rottenborns closing arguments is that it was followed with Elaines kind of boring, scattered one. Not to mention, she kept bringing up certain things that were covered in the trial that were most definitely being misrepresented. The jury saw this and watched as the objections from JDs team came in as soon as she done this. I hope this is a 2 parter bc the rebuttal from Camille after this was way more powerful in my opinion. A lot of what she said stood out and you could feel the emotions coming from her as she was going all in.

People saw Elaine rushing out and going to bathroom while crying on the last day, and they also saw Elaine crying a few more times in the courtroom on other days after the cameras were turned off. In the bathroom instance, she came out with a red nose and people told her they're aware it's not her fault and she thanked them before going back into the courtroom. One of the audience members was interviewed on the "Popcorn Planet" youtube channel and spoke about this. I think Elaine gave up after day 1 of this trial. It's obvious that Amber also lied to her lawyers, by their reactions throughout this trial. They're not good lawyers, but Amber is doing Amber, which is to ruin people's lives and livelihood.

Putting myself in jury’s shoes, I don’t think in the end I would care about where one lawyers hands are, or if they are swaying, or walking back and fourth. The most important thing on my mind is who do I feel is telling the truth. who is a liar. Who has showed more evidence. Who seems to be a better overall person.

I would be a fool if I'd be swayed by Rottenborn's closing. We had weeks of trial, and everyone saw everything. Powerful or not, I will never side with liars. I have had weeks of drama (as you call it) and I know what I heard and saw. This isn't prose or poetry. This is reality. I will not be swayed by beautiful words but I will base everything on facts, facts that have been presented to me for weeks.

I thought John saying "Rotten..Born" whenever he addressed her lawyer was a subtle but brilliant move.

Camille nailed it. To the point, with facts. Didn't expect this of myself but I cried a bit here and there.

On Ben's "America's favourite pirate" I totally disagree - I thought it was cheap, a put-down /devaluation of a seriously abused man - or if he was a DV perpetrator it was even more inappropriate. As a juror, I would have been riled up against Ben for that.

This was really manipulative by Rottenbon. I see how you are intrigued as an analyst but it irritates me as a common human. If Johnny looses or the trial is nullified. I would loose hope on our society. As a man this is scary.

I’m upset that juror #8 was let go but will be serving as an alternate. I’ve seen other commentators talk about how engaged she was with the trial. I completely understand her disappointment. She’s been there the entire trial but won’t be apart of the deliberations. I thank all jurors who had to listen intently to this case. What a huge sacrifice.

I’m glad you guys have done this spying for us all! I sure hope that miserable woman loses… The recordings that I listened to in full after the jury was excused for deliberations was mind blowing! Amber is a monster and Johnny just tryed to calm her or get away from her as she litterally just freaks and flys off the handle over small things and she is so overbearing and that screaming and hitting is so off the charts… I was really disturbed and shocked listening to them and then to know she accuses him of being violent! 😳

Thank you for your analysis. I wasn't expecting to hear that. I felt quite the opposite, that Rottenborn just verified even more that they have absolutely no evidence to support Amber's claims. When he spoke and showed pictures of Johnny passed out and shelves knocked over etc. to strengthen his claims, it showed just that.

Rob's video on the bed and the knife was how I found him. I immediately had to subscribe. I was already subscribed to Spidey. I was invested in this trial not because I like JD but because I have known 4 abused men. It's an important cause. Plus my Dad was a trial lawyer and I wanted to see the trial lawyers and the jury. I might be the only one thinking this, but I took Johnny leaning back as a humble stance. He is stepping back and listening and absorbing her words and allowing Camille to take the stage, so to speak. He’s gone through so much during this trail so I took it as an expression of Johnny kind of stepping back, finally taking a break, allowing all of it to soak in while Camille is giving her all at laying out the facts to the jury on behalf of Johnny. Idk, that’s how I viewed it

I feel like their reaction to the pirate line was more like “lol this guy is ridiculous” not “I’m impressed, that was good.”

I think one thing you’re forgetting is that jurors have a pretty well formed opinion by closing arguments. When I’ve formed an opinion and I’m listening to closing arguments, I can appreciate a lawyers attempt to turn a phrase to appeal to the jury, but many times it’s just too late. You just end up forming an opinion of the attorney.

I see Johnny more like a proud guy "she got this" attitude with Camille, like "this is my champion, she's gonna fight for me".

I left a comment in your "Can you solve this case" video giving my theory on David Kofoed's verbal disfluency. You said you didn't want to tackle it because there was so much going on. I can see why, it hurt my brain trying to make sense of it. But I watched it several times, gave it a day or two and I think my brain finally came up with a very plausible solution. Watching the two of you realizing Rottenborn just condemned Captain Jack Sparrow and made the pirate the bad guy, was epic. You two should work together more often. This was fun! Thank you.

With all the "well timed" comments about Rottenborn's pirate line, lets not forget that regardless of how well he delivered that, the jury is probably as sick of him as most others are. He has made himself look like a prick throughout the entire trial. And yes, the text had a LOT in it and may have been the "true" Depp, but who hasn't said some not so nice things when they're at the end of their ropes.... On top of that, he's been an actor in some of that more outlandish roles out there for decades, of course his not so nice things will be a bit more colorful than the average person's.

Wow, riveting. I'm in OZ and I was up all night watching these court hearings... So so day time tired, however, after a while, I actually became a night owl, and wake up every night...ha ha✌👌

As we sit and analyze every move and strategy, I can't help but wonder if there may be jurors who are more aware than we give them credit for. They have been watching these people for weeks and have already formed opinions in their heads. A move we think is great for one side may in fact be grating for someone with an already formed opinion. Does it even matter? In a trial this long are opinions really changed by a well played closing argument if that person already puts you off? I'm not so sure. 🤔

Rob was amazed by the orthogonal aspect of swaying turned to ebb and flow for the jury....ah hell, I was too!

If after 6 weeks of watching and investing myself in this case to be dismissed because my name was pulled out of a hat, I would be beyond pissed off. That's such a waste of that persons time

When I think of a court case I always think of the Chicago musical number "Razzle Dazzle". It's permanently cemented the correlation between theater and the court room into my brain.

Also I wanna say that Rottenborn's closing argument felt like I was being guilt tripped and manipulated, where Camille's felt like she was simply telling me what she knew and letting me decide what I believed. Amber's team has done nothing but alienate me this entire trial and his closing argument absolutely did not help that lol

Nah, Camille owned that closing argument. Rottenborn may have had that "Pirate" line, but Camille said what every survivor of abuse thought: Amber took _our_ stories, but it wasn't _her_ story. That is a much more impactful statement because it really shows the scope of Heard's accusations. If this can happen to someone of Johnny's reputation, then there is no hope for others in less fortunate situations.

Absolutely nothing moved me more than Ben Chew's voice breaking towards the end of his closing statement. I actually teared up. I felt his emotion, I felt Camille's emotion too. They *know* that Johnny has been wronged. That, to me, is 100% more powerful than Rottenborn's guiltripping performance.

I saw Johnny's body language like this: He told the world the truth. His work was done. He sat back and had to listen to Team Heard for the last time. I remember that Johnny said that the outcome of this trial doesn't matter to him. He just wanted to tell the truth. And that's what he did. It was also the birthday of his daughter, Lily Rose. Almost time to go home, leave the shit behind and celebrate. It could also mean that he distanced himself from what Team Heard said.

It’s sad when JD can’t even drink a sip of coffee and lean back since this simple act might influence a juror. Shows many courtrooms have nothing at all to do with justice. Frankly, I think JD is tired, he looks weary IMO and moves as if he is in pain( back, neck issues).

Amber's team quite literally at the end pretty much said "if you don't vote for heard you are dismissing every woman who has suffered from domestic abuse." That is a disgusting way to try and win.

I thought Rottenborn’s closing was repugnant. It felt so manipulative and skeezy. If I don’t believe AH’s ever-expanding tales then I don’t believe any abuse victims? Boy, bye.

I’m surprised Johnny’s team haven’t picked up on that “monster” depiction. It’s well known in rehab scenes that most, if not, all recovering addicts refer to their “monster” inside. Certainly doesn’t mean the monster hurts others. The monster usually hurts the addict themselves.

The fact that Amber keeps saying she's a victim and even gets large publications to publish articles like "believe in women-believe in amber heard" and yet so many abuse victims identify with Johnny is so fascinating. They looked at her "evidences", saw her reactions, listened to her on tapes, and were witnesses to her expressive testimonies. Still, what she reminded them of were the toxic people who messed up a part of their life. They did not see their fight for independence, safety, and understanding in her, they saw it in Johnny.

I admittedly only watched a bit of Rottenborne's closing argument but I hated it and felt gaslit when he basically said "you only have to find one incident of abuse and Johnny loses". It's like no, sorry your client went on the stand and recounted stories of horrific rape with a bottle, being controlled, beat up to the point of a broken nose and etc. The fact you have the audacity to basically insinuate "Yeah my client may have lied about the rape but slamming some cabinets and mean texts are a form of abuse so Johnny is guilty and Amber can parade herself as a representative of DV". She also admitted to writing the op-ed 3 times and the last time, basically explained how this trial and the people who came out to support a powerful man like Depp is the example her op-ed talked about. Amber's whole case is an attack on logic, critical thinking and a spit in the face of real DV survivors.

Here’s the thing. For me as a woman and someone that deplores physical violence especially domestic violence I want to believe every person who claims they have been abused. Normally it takes A LOT of courage to come forward and face your abuser. I had no I’ll will towards Amber. I liked Johnny Depp but knew he had an affinity for drugs and hard living from reading and listening to interviews. Especially when he was almost being like an understudy of Hunter S. Thompson who was Uber eccentric and major dark individual. So before knowing anything I wouldn’t say I’d think it impossible for JD to have done the things he was accused of. After she testified I honestly in my heart felt I knew beyond a reasonable doubt, that she was lying and not just about little things but big things. So over the top. One minute like a crying victim but with not one tear. NOT ONE! How quickly she would go from her acted crying to then complete opposite. Finally the evidence just wasn’t there. When I heard the diabolical laughing and bating she did to Johnny whom she was supposedly terrified of?? Oh and then gets a restraining order, but the minute he gets back in town, begs him to go to her hotel and meet with her by HERSELF! That says volumes to me personally. True victims don’t want to be around their abusers. They don’t taunt their abusers and they certainly don’t throw cans at their head, and punch them thru the door and she would not allow herself to admit to any wrong doing. That made her less believable whereas Johnny showed the good the bad and the ugly and admitted to it. So if I were a juror my vote 🗳 for win would be to Johnny to prevail.

I felt mentally raped, drained, stripped open by Amber's lawyers I could not keep watching the trial live and gave up. Amber's lawyers closing arguments made me feel like they were turning into Amber themselves!Manipulating and low key attacking/gaslighting anyone that did not take her version of events as the absolute truth. This was only a few days trial. Imagine the hell Johnny must have gone through to love and live with her. He is a saint! You can hear him stretching so thin and breaking in the audios. May this man have some peace and the justice he deserves!

If you notice….no matter how bad her lawyers are….closing arguments…etc., Amber ABSOLUTELY LOVES the attention. Truly a narcissistic trait.

This whole case has my nerves shot for Johnny. I was in an extremely abusive relationship for 5 years. Watching Amber Heard get on that stand and hearing those recording made my stomach turn. No one who has been through what she claims would have been taunting him the way she did. I used to get beat for cooking the wrong thing for dinner or bc some guy at the drive thru was too friendly. A man who abuses you isolates you from anyone who could be on your side. He doesn't let you move your entire support system in the same building. This trial has become not only Justice for Johnny. It's become justice for all of us whose story she is stealing. The pain and the memories it has brought up make everything feel fresh again and make me feel fiercely protective of Johnny. You can look at them if you have been through abuse and feel which one of them is lying. And when I see johnny drawing pictures or having his head down I immediately go to when that was me, and I would do anything to disassociate when people would want to talk about what I went through. I pray to God Johnny gets the justice he is seeking so he can finally get the peace he deserves and start to heal.

Johnny's drinking coffee or sitting back is not something he should be judged for. It's so silly. Amber was sitting there literally death staring or smirking during his testimony. He can't even drink some coffee? After laying his soul bare, he is relying on his lawyers to deliver the closing. He is exhausted, as an ACTUAL abuse survivor would be.

while camille presented powerfully in my opinion, rottenborn presented in a more manipulative way. the pirate thing made me feel icky because of how you described, it painted a villian that doesn't actually exist. tying johnnnys alleged actions to a fictional character. it feels extremely manipulative and disturbing. makes me sick to my stomach.

My thoughts on Johnny’s texts and their violent vulgarity… they scream “helpless rage”. As well as the smashing of the cupboards. Helpless rage. “I can’t do these things to you but I can fantasize about them. I can’t smash you, but I can smash these cabinets”. If he were actively venting his anger on AH like she claims, I doubt he’d have felt the need to fantasize to Paul Bettany or smash the cabinets.

I feel like Rottenborn closing was trying to hypnotise the jury. The cadence, the swaying, the moving back amd fort to have people focusing on him and him alone... I thought the words had a point for his case, but the delivery felt disingenuous, in contrast with Camille and Ben that felt more sincere and passionate. AH side seemed like a group of people put together reluctantly and that were doing whatever possible to finish this project and get as far away from each other as they could. JD team came across as friends fighting for the same cause. And it showed in the closing. Elaine felt like a conspiracy theorist trying to convince other people that the sky is in fact yellow with purple squares.

The passion in both Ben and Camille’s voices, the look in Johnny’s eyes, the hugs he gave both of them after their statements - their bond is so genuine and it’s such a wholesome thing to arise out of a horrible situation.

When I first listened to Rottenborns closing I felt as though amber was going to win the trial, and I just read a comment that made me understand why. His closing sounds like a guilt trip, and I believe that I was falling for it because I’m an empath. Thankfully the jurors were able to deliberate and look at the evidence to discount a simple guilt trip.

Rottenborn definitely had a presence and did well with what case he had, but he also slipped up a few times, one time leaving Elaine visibly SHOCKED (when he mentions "it doesn't matter if Amber is lying" What a MISTAKE, to plant that sentence, regardless of context.

While I can see why you were gushing about Rottenborn’s closing, think you didn’t address my main issue with him-that he established a baseline of being smarmy and disingenuous throughout the trial. So when he tries to reset and be the calm voice of reason, it strikes me as a complete fake. Had he provided the same demeanor throughout the trial it’d be far more credible. Guess it’s a question of how short juror’s attention spans are?

When you described Rottenborn's swaying movement in his closing, I'm hearing "snakecharmer". He is attempting to hypnotize the jury so he can lead them to accept AH's version of events.

For me, just speaking about the closing arguments, I could literally feel, that Johnny’s entire team, were fighting for a man they ALL truly cared for. As to where AH’s team were just fighting. There was a huge difference in they way Johnny’s team treated him, as a person, not just someone they were hired for. AH’s team, mostly looked like they were in pain, and couldn’t wait for this trial to end. That says A LOT!!!

This is really interesting. However, as a normal layperson, a possible juror, when i watched the closing arguments live, the jack sparrow portion didn't strike me that way. Hahaha. Mostly because I have never watched Pirates. Also, it just always sounded creepy when Rotterborn would say those words throughout the whole trial. But i always love analysis. For me, the tone of JD lawyers vs. AH lawyers throughout the trial mattered. Simply, team AH lawyers generally were monotonous and it becomes tiring to listen to cause it has no emotions as opposed to team JD lawyers. Thanks for the video.

I remember reading and hearing all the reports years ago, and being in a state of disbelief. I grew up watching Johnny Depp’s movies, and it was hard for me to imagine him being this abusive monster even when I didn’t really know anything about him. But I’ve never been one to immediately believe what I’ve been told if there’s no evidence, unless I’ve been given no cause to doubt someone’s credibility. Not only did Amber Heard’s so called evidence look fake as hell, not one person was able to support her claims. And all of her lies was slowly unraveling with each leaked video, phone call, and audio recording that showed her true colors. It was at that point that I truly knew that my gut instinct was right and that was before the trial even began. I’m just sad that he didn’t see that in time so that he could have avoided being put through that hell, and that he would be free from trauma. I grew more and more disgusted by Amber Heard and her team of lawyers with each passing day as I watched the trial. Nothing about that abusive narcissist witch or her team was genuine, and I cheered when I saw the final verdict read out in court. Justice was truly served.

Here are some quick facts about Amber that we know that are proven: 1) He wasn't the only alcoholic and drug abuser. She drank 2 bottles of wine a day, took drugs as well by her own admission. 2) Caught lying about using the makeup that didn't exist back then to "cover her bruises" frequently, which was refuted by the makeup company in court. 3) Past domestic violence arrest against her ex, literally charged and arrested. Plus admitted to domestic violence against Johnny. Plus suspicion of domestic violence against her own sister (her sister was discussing it with her friends by the poolside in a video clip), and assaulted her ex-best friend in public. In contrast Johnny has no history of being violent towards women, every single one of his ex gfs and spouses all speak highly of him, and has said he's never laid hands on them. 4) Audio recording of her admitting to cutting his finger in Australia (not allowed in this trial due to technicalities), proving again that her testimony was a lie. (one of the voices on the tape is now deceased and can't testify) 5) Her psychologist lied about Amber having no domestic violence history and was called out by Johnny's attorney. 6) Has NO witnesses or evidence (all conveniently random strangers that she doesn't know or deceased people like the bodyguard) 7) Her longtime assistant testified under oath that she did not once see or hear any physical abuse from Depp or ever saw any injuries on Heard in all the years. She also testified under oath that Heard spit ON her face when she asked for a raise 8) She visits Dr Kipper's office the day after an alleged incident where she was severely beaten, the doctor's medical report states her in perfect health, with no injuries of any kind on her, also state her skin was in perfect condition. Her explanation was "this was a partial report and I didn't have time to get into the details with the doctor about the injuries". (Day 16 of trial cross examination) 9) Allegedly got her nose broken, hit multiple times, her scalp and hair ripped off, penetrated by a bottle, dragged over broken glass and got her arms and legs "pretty cut up", then somehow felt safe enough to take sleeping pills with her "attacker" in the same house, woke up the next day and made him coffee, then went to James Corden's show miraculously healed. No marks, no scars, no pictures, no medical report . Hair stylist saw no signs of abuse, the hair stylist would've been inches away from her face looking at all the details while working on her appearance, and she saw 0 injuries. Multiple witnesses (including 3 cops) saw no signs of abuse. 10) Allegedly got raped and assaulted multiple times on her honeymoon, then wrote Johnny a love letter saying "it was the most amazing and beautiful honeymoon any girl could've ever dreamed of". (evidence presented in Day 18 of trial) 11) Claimed she wanted to leave Johnny, but in all the audio clips she was the one begging him to stay. Claimed she always tried to de-escalate, but in audio clips she was always the aggressor preventing him from leaving and taunting him . 12) In all her "crying", there's never a single tear coming out of her eyes, even when reciting the most "traumatic experience". 13) Allegedly feared for her life but bought him a large knife. 14) Testified under oath that she was beaten by Johnny with huge chunky rings on all his fingers, said she was "hit so many times in the face over and over again she lost count". The photos taken the next day shows her face completely spotless without any injuries, when cross examined, she answers "there do not appear to be any injuries on my face in that photo". 15) Caught lying under oath again saying she "didn't receive money" from Johnny when she got $7 million, and lying about "never assaulted" Johnny when she admits to it on tape. 16) Proven once again as a liar when she made public statement of donating 7 million dollars for children's hospital but in reality donated exactly 0 dollars before she was called out, also caught lying under oath about donating the money. Her sworn statement was "I donated the entire settlement of $7 million to charity", when cross examined, she states "I did not lie, I pledged the $7 million, "pledged" and "donated" are synonymous, they mean the same thing." (Day 16 of trial cross examination) 17) Blackmailing Depp with her attorney, trying to make a deal for 3 of the adjoining penthouses where they both lived, 50k monthly expenses, 500k in attorney fees and the SUV Depp let her drive in exchange for not filing the protection order. 18) Her publishing of the op-ed "domestic violence" piece is timed perfectly with the release of Aquaman film, it didn't get published when they divorced, or before, or right after, but instead it was published right when Aquaman was being released and when the "Me Too" movement was grabbing the most headlines. 19) Amber Heard's team desperately tried to stop the trial from being publicly broadcasted while Depp's team made sure it was made public 20) Long time friend and co worker of Amber Heard telling about her hardcore cocaine and drug habit dating all the way back to 2008 when they were close associates, (youtube show called "Steven and Jason" and in the newest episode titled "We need to talk about AH"). 21) Amber testified about having injuries such as “gross colored puss coming out of her temple” and “suffering a broken nose”, but when cross examined she changes the lines to “gross colored puss UNDER HER SCALP” and “FELT like a broken nose”, because she knew the evidence is about to show ZERO injuries visible on her. (How does she see gross colored puss under her scalp? With an X-ray machine??) 22) Allegedly got beaten up for FIVE YEARS and not a SINGLE injury shown on her face, no doctor visits, no dentists, no surgeons, no photos, despite countless appearances in public events and countless photos taken given her celebrity status, many of those public appearances were the night after "the beating", keep in mind the beating were all allegedly done by Depp with "huge chunky" rings on all his fingers, yet after five years of beating, she didn't need to visit the doctors once or show on sign of injury on her face, sounds like her facial bone density and durability of her skin can match that of armor platings. 23) Alleges Johnny slashed the soles of her feet, but was seen the next day walking completely normal, again no doctor visits or treatments of any kind even though she has a personal doctor on retainer. 24) Constantly changing details of her stories and allegations, she's already given 4 different versions of the poop incident, she has said "1: told security guard that she pooped and it was a practical joke gone wrong. 2: Johnny did it to frame her. 3: said it never happened and Johnny was gaslighting her. 4: said the tiny puppies did it." 25) Her lying under oath is not even worth mentioning anymore, there is too many to list, just to list a few in this trial alone. Lying about not receiving any money from Johnny, when in fact she received $7 million. Lying about having donated the money, when in fact she has donated $0 so far. Lying about never assaulted Johnny, when in fact she was recorded admitting to it multiple times. Lying about never assaulted anyone before, when in fact she's assaulted at least 4 that we have evidence of. Lying about her injuries, when a medical record showed absolutely no injuries. 26) She put someone through hell for years, publicly shamed and destroyed his career and life, just so she can be seen as a noble victim and use the attention and sympathy to advance her career and profile. She claims she's never wanted to be seen as a victim and wanted to move on, but appears in countless TV shows and articles talking about her "abuse" and "donation" non stop, literally appeared on every show she could to talk about her being a victim and being noble on the donation that never happened. 27) Amber's own friend, Tillet Wright, a long time close friend with Amber Heard, testified under oath that he's never seen or heard Amber being abused by Johnny Depp. (Day 20 of trial)

I think these are some good points about Rottenborn, but I'm just not sure the jury went that deep into his closing. Maybe they did, but, I don't think I would have. Especially already believing 90% of JDs testimony and experts. I do enjoy the commentary a great deal however. I really hope whatever the verdict is, I hope it paints her as the manipulative, vindictive, entitled, lazy bum she really is. And at the absolute very least, I hope JD walks away feeling vindicated!

I think Rottenborn came off as really sleazy when he confused Johnny with Jack Sparrow. When he said a judgement against Amber was a judgement against all of the #MeToo women, it made me sick!!! The tapes proved she is a lying perpetrator of violence, not a victim. Rottenborn's swaying was really annoying and came off as nervousness to me. His cadence made me tune him out.

Also I have to say, that if anyone, like myself, watched the trial and made their own conclusions on Amber, her career is doomed. To me, her testimony act, or the way she presented herself up there, made a mockery of abused women and men. She signed her own fate, not by law but by the publics understanding of her as a human. Its not good.

I can appreciate everything you’re both saying about Rottenborn being a great lawyer. But personally, after sitting through Amber’s testimony, seeing and hearing her tell lie after lie after lie, (and ridiculously bad ones, at that), I’m not caring WHAT her team says or how they say it. My mind is 💯 on the reason we’re all here. And nothing they say is swaying me.

I’ve said this elsewhere: One of the most telling signs is the confidence that Johnny’s team fought with and the utter lack of confidence that Amber’s team fought with. Johnny’s team knew they could back up their side, and Amber’s team knew they had nothing.

When I heard about the bed and saw the picture. I screamed LIAR. Had woodwork and sowing since basically 7ish-13years old then picked and had woodclasses from 14-16. How can she have 0 people around her and even her own lawyers just going along with this? She really thinks she's the smartest person in the room. When even kids from my country can see her lies.

If I was a blind juror and couldn't see body language or pictures, I would still have heard all the evidence I needed to hear to find AH liable.

As much as I can appreciate a couple of Rottenborn's one-liners, both his and Elaine's closing statements felt like I was being pressured to believe something that I don't actually believe. I have watched nearly this entire trial, I tried to keep an open mind the entire time, I put aside my own personal feelings, but both of those speeches rubbed me the wrong way. I feel like they missed the mark. Maybe it's because I grew up with abusers and went on to date a couple of them, or if it's because of my own personal experience of seeing how a person with BPD acts and how vicious and calculating and cruel they can be, but a lot of what Rottenborn said didn't make sense to me. Especially his argument of "If this were fake, why would it be so subtle? Why wouldn't she play it up?" precisely for that argument. People with BPD aren't stupid. They manipulate people every day. If anything, they're super smart, just not always very aware of how they come across. It's easier to "prove" many small injuries than huge, severe ones. And again with the "Why would she claim this happened the day before going on national television?" because people with BPD tend to have narcissistic traits and are overconfident and think they're untouchable. Of course she's hysterical and breaking down now over how the public is reacting to her. She can't figure out why no one believes her lies. She did all the research and acted her damnedest on that stand, but anyone who has experienced DV can tell you, it's not something you can learn from research. If you haven't lived it, you don't know what it's like. And maybe the jury hasn't lived it, and maybe they wont see through her act. That is very possible. I know I was only able to come to my conclusion based on lived experience. I would not fault them for their decision either way, it's not an easy one to make. I think no matter the outcome though, Depp has already won and Heard has already lost. One name was restored and the other tarnished forever. Money means nothing if you don't have a voice people care to listen to.

I would be so disappointed to have gone through this entire trial only to be dismissed before getting to go and discuss everything with my fellow jurors!

Personally, I would bare in mind that Johnny Depp has ADHD and as someone who knows this life experience, keeping still is a nightmare, focusing is even more so. However, if the hands are busy, it's much easier to actually listen and focus on other people talking, especially if it's possibly something that's been heard before and/or that's uncomfortable to hear. So, honestly, I'm personally not going to judge him for how he is considering he actually did sit and listen without keeping his hands busy to help him concentrate for quite a time before essentially not being able to keep still much longer. It's physically painful sometimes to sit still and keep quiet for extended periods of time for people with ADHD. Maybe I'm reading personal experience into it, but I found it understandable, and it's not as if he was being disrespectful; he's clearly anxious from start to finish as seen with breathing and expressions, too, and it's not easy to have to hear awful things people have stated. If the hands are moving, it probably means he can focus on what's being said much better than putting all of his focus onto trying to keep still. Considering that AH spends the whole time angrily writing without touching pen to paper and passing notes, on top of that smirking and sneering, then drinking coffee on Johnny's part is nothing to be judged for at all. But ultimately as a survivor, I do not like that Rottenborn lumped all of us in with AH, like she represents us all, because she does not represent me. She is a blatant liar, she is an offence to all true victims of abuse everywhere, and the lack of evidence to coincide with her lies and the fact she's been allowed to take it this far on nothing is disgusting. Rottenborn is a horrible human being for stating that as fact when he knows nothing of it, and he uses dirty tactics and mind-games like his client. It says a lot that Johnny's team is as they are, reflecting him, and AH's team is dirty reflecting her. Instead of presenting and fighting their case, they attacked his side, and that tells me a whole lot - there is nothing of their case to fight for, so let's discredit the truth with as dirty a tactic as possible. Pathological liars and master manipulators is what I grew up around and are what I despise in humanity.

I too was REALLY impressed by Rotterborn’s “performance” when I first watched it. Yes ! He was engaging, his arguments were powerful… He almost convinced me to look at things differently… But now that I got more time to process this closing, I am just angry and MAD. I realise that what he did was gaslighting at its finest. His arguments tricked me into guilt. He was basically asking us to forget everything we saw with our own eyes and everything we heard with our own ears and only trust what he was saying ; “ if you don’t believe amber you are dismissing all victims of DV and you are a bad person”. Almost worked ! SCARRY !!!! It was the ultimate attempt from heard’s camp to bend our perception and play dangerous mind games. If anything, it makes me more understanding and empathetic to people who fall in these disgusting traps.

I fell like you were both watching a very different closing argument. Camille kept me engaged. Rottenborn was boring - I zoned out and Elaine was all over the place and so hard to follow whilst seeming desperate. If I was on the fence before closing arguments I would not have stepped off on Ambers side

Coming from an emotionally abusive home, I was NOT impressed wit RB’s closing. He triggered me. I felt like he was attacking me, personally, and I felt like he was invalidating my experience and then gaslighting me by trying to make me feel guilty for being abused. It wasn’t well done, if you are a victim of abuse.

When I watched the closing arguments I did notice Johnny’s laid back demeanor, it did seem odd. The more I thought about it and watched it made sense to me if they are telling the truth. He is done, this is over, not matter what happens he showed up and told the truth, his side of the story. If I was a juror that would make the most sense in my mind. Comparing this to how he was during the trial. Amber has not really changed in how she acts, no real emotional change except where at time you think you would want people to see you change, than snap back.

I was instantly turned off the aspects of Rottenborn’s closing that implied the jurors were sending a message to ALL victims of abuse (uh no just lying Amber), and that the Constitution defends Amber’s right to publicly cast terribly disparaging character assassinations and claims that everyone knew was about JD, regardless of whether they were actually true. That’s a horrifying standard. Why doesn’t Rottenborn just come out and say, “Even if she lied about 99% of the allegations, if JD said one bad word to her one time, you must find in her favor.”

I personally laughed at that line. It didn't do much for me. Although I thought he did a great closing argument, just not good for this case. When he was like "If you didn't take pictures, it didn't happen" which yeah, great point but the problem here for me is that she said herself she had been collecting evidence for 5 years. She has tons of pictures and oportunities to take them, but she didn't.

I really doubt the jury is going to be so impressed by Rottenborn’s delivery that they are going to ignore the mountain of evidence that Amber lied about literally everything

I’ve been asking myself what is going to happen to this whole RU-vid cottage industry that has really built up around this trial now that a verdict has been reached. Whatever does happen to it I hope to see more of you two together. You’re so different from each other but your insights play so well off each other with the right balance of questioning and agreement that each of you compliment the other without being fawning or so similar that you’re not adding to each other. If I was a juror I’d be the most readable person out of anyone. I can’t hide my emotions very easily. Might be a good thing I’m not a juror on this case cause idk if I could control the stank eye I’d be giving Amber and her lawyers 😂

I knew a woman who was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest soul and then shockingly use the foulest language when describing someone who had been an "Amber" in her life. I could feel the pain that the monster had inflicted upon her. So, even the gentlest soul, who is pushed to the extreme, is capable of the foulest language. I'm reminded of that woman when listening to Johnny's harsh messages and it doesn't bother me in the least. I hear his wounded soul. I pray Johnny wins the case and goes on to have at least another 10 more huge cinematic hits. Justice for Johnny!!!

I was a juror twice. Once in Fl, and the other in NYC where i was on a grand jury. One thing I’ve learned, and myself have felt is absolute annoyance and disgust when a witness continually stares at the jury at me. Its emotive of a person forcing their perspective on you in a very controlling and manipulative way. And all of Amber’s witnesses, and herself did with the jury. At least in the ones that i was in, when this happened it annoyed us very much and told us that this side is trying too hard, meaning theirs guilt there. Where the witnesses were calm and collected and spoke to the questioning attorneys and occasionally looked over at us in a gesture to let us know they are aware of us felt more genuine, they were comfortable in their testimony, they felt no need to stare us down in what seemed like a desperate effort to control our perspective. Even a layman can understand these emotive cues. Amber will lose this case, and her counter suit.

For me, I felt that Rotternborn did "good" for maybe the first 10-15 minutes. But the longer he spoke, the more he lost me. He just felt like a salesman, not to be trusted. He tried to sell me something bad, something fake... Maybe it has to do with that Camille Vasquez and Ben Chew made me feel something and also, during Ben Chews last words I almost started to cry.

I feel Rottenborn wasn’t that great, as a person who has a gaslighting mom. It feels like he’s saying „don’t believe depps team, believe me!“ with no evidence. Vasques is simply telling a story while rottenborn is trying to manipulate you

One thing that instantly took me out is the implication that using bad words privately largely out of context makes you a bad person. This is just extension of bullshit we see every day in media. I feel inclined to automatically give person attacked like that full benefit of the doubt

I disagree about that "one line" about "America's favorite pirate" - no, no, no. You'd have to dissociate for that to happen. I hope the jury has more of their wits about them than that. And no, Heard does not have the right to slander or libel anyone under the First Amendment. Rottenborn is taking the jury for fools.

I thought Rottenborn's idea of "you can't believe in the 1st Ammendment and side with Johnny Depp" was ridiculously heavy handed. If I would have been on the jury, I think that ultimatum would have turned me right off.

I was mentally & physically abused for the last 4 years of my marriage. I know how that feels. I know what truth looks like. Turd did NOT experience the severe abuse she’s claiming she did. The way she interacted with JD during these so called abusive times is NOT the way you do when you’re legitimately afraid of your abuser. I’m so afraid there will be a hold out in the jury because they may not understand this. JD deserves to win this case. Although, even if he doesn’t win, his reputation is safe and he’ll be better for it. Turd’s reputation, on the other hand, is shot. I hope she never works again and is miserable for the rest of her life because she tried to ruin JD. She’s an evil, self centered POS.

When I seen the scene of Johnny taking a sip of coffee, he did it in such a way he felt sudden emotion and nervousness almost like he refelt something again and it's a way of hiding behind something because it's too emotional and don't want anyone to see it. I know because I am a survivor of abuse and it looked identical to what I do when I feel sudden strong emotions and want to hide my face, I grab my coffee immediately because I am a coffee drinker. Looked identical to me and that's how I can spot it. People don't get that is victims of abuse can see right through people that ordinary people cannot see.

The fact that Rotterborn chose to make that his closing argument really shows he has nothing to go from. The jury has been in that courtroom when Amber's story was proven to have more holes in it than the Titanic, but he made this about how Johnny's lawyers are trying to question the story of every victim. They didn't. In fact it was quite the opposite, because no matter how much evidence they provided, there will still be people out there who will see Johnny as an abuser and won't accept him as a victim (something that Camille has previously said). So, if anything, those who have done the most for DV survivors and current victims are Ben, Camille and every person in Johnny's team.
