"He was just gay." Leonard Bernstein in New York City 

"[Leonard Bernstein was] a gay man who got married. He wasn’t conflicted about it at all. He was just gay." These were the words of playwright Arthur Laurents, a gay man who befriended and worked with famed composer Leonard Bernstein.
