But it won't change because Americans are shown the most propaganda and they think that Medicare is bad and the economy will collapse because they are told that private health care is the only way for the country to continue. It's the same with working hours and wages, everyone is just told that if the minimum wage went up then everything will collapse. The only way for this to be fixed is to go to the roots of the problem which is the companies that run the country, they have the money to bribe officials (Lobbying) to lean with the policy that will give that company the most money as soon as they are dealt with and their ability to bribe officials is when things will change.

@asscheeks3212 2 года назад
@@Cool-Cat1 uh, are you American? The thing is this happens everywhere. Scandinavia is an ULTRA capitalist society even more so then people think, Corporations had little competition there and funded many welfare programs and lobbying campaigns. Compare that to China or the Soviet Union that become privatized and basic forms of healthcare is more expensive then the United States itself. I despise America but this ain't it, Military bases everywhere, interventionism, etc... that's what I criticize them more about. Unless there is a government/political faction that is not guilty of lobbying, (which every group in existence is guilty of, Unions themselves run HUGE lobbying scams), I think you need to recode the human thought process entirely, or at least think realistically.
@Cool-Cat1
@Cool-Cat1 2 года назад
@@asscheeks3212 You bring up Scandinavia when talking about healthcare but did you do any research on the countries within Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway, Denmark) the healthcare for each is completely different that the American healthcare system. For example Sweden has paid healthcare but for a basic checkup at the doctors it cost 110 - 220 SEK or around 10 - 20 USD. In Norway healthcare is very expensive at around 6,000 USD per person however Norway has universal healthcare coverage which means that you pay towards it by the government taking a small % of your pay from both employees and employers meaning it is still cheaper than the American healthcare cost at around 10,000 USD per person which is 4,000 more than Norway. Finally onto Denmark, Denmark's cost of health insurance per year is 1,560 DKK or 230 USD and it covers most injuries with a few having to be paid for by a private healthcare insurance company. There is more with Scandinavian countries though Norway, like most other countries has a war on drugs, however the Norwegian government dealt with their heroin problem differently, it wasn't with jail time and extremely high fines they instead gave out free heroin to addicts which was clean and not laced with anything, they had clean needles to reduce the spread of diseases such as HIV, they had doctors on the ready in case of an overdose and they had people there to help you get back on track with your life and break the addiction. The way America deals with drugs is violence which doesn't stop the drugs, they may stop one big producer but that just makes 10 smaller producers pop-up selling the drugs that could be laced with anything. What's more is that the majority of drug offences are by black people in the USA however take the same amount of drugs and put it on a white person then they get less jail time or none what so ever only a fine. I agree the human thought process has to be changed but it won't with the way things are heading as I said in my last comment the people in America are thrown and fed propaganda on a daily basis about how if they change their ways the economy will collapse and that you have to keep paying anywhere from 10,000 USD to 150,000 USD to keep living the "American dream" but it won't change anytime soon the first step is to give the working people a voice and it starting to happen with more and more people quitting their jobs because of how they're treated and because of how much they're paid but that is only the start once the working class have a voice then the American government will have to listen or else the economy will collapse. Sorry for another wall of text I just feel quite strongly on this subject as it has affected me and people that I've known.

I used to work for the Department of Mental Health in my homestate, I found out that people are committed to a prison ward for any kind of behavior that can be considered violent and those who are committed are likely to NEVER be released. I worked at a prison as a therapist and the things I heard from co-workers made my blood run cold. "Don't treat them as people", "Don't trust any of them", "Lie about your identity if you have to, never talk about yourself", "Leave your emotions at the gate and be ready to work". We had something like isolation but it wasn't this severe thank goodness. I still remember this, one resident slashed his leg to the point that his cell's floor was COVERED in his blood and I saw the inside of the wound, it was that deep. His reason for doing that? "I just wanted to go outside", that fucked me up for a long time. That program I worked in was thankfully discontinued, working there made me question my morals a lot. I became a mental health advocate because of that job, no one should ever be treated that poorly because there was a lack of proper mental health care.

Honestly, it's a rule. If you talk like a "bad person," they treat you like one. They treat you like a monster that deserves nothing. The belief they have is, "you committed a crime, it involved assault, and you talked badly to an officer. You deserve the worst reality ever because you wanted it." The moral of the story is: Don't break any laws because you risk your mind breaking if you do. If you do break laws, don't ever be rude. If you're aggressive or even assertive, you risk making it worse. Passiveness is the key to survival in a world made solely of criminals and police officers. Long edit for clarification: People seem to believe I am victim blaming, when I am simply saying the consequences of a justice system that focuses on punishing people, rather than reforming, and helping others. What it does is punish others, by treating them worse than they are, if they don't follow orders. He was put in a prison, an environment that dehumanizes the people there. Then the rule of "listen to the officer, even if your needs are disrespected, or else," was put in place. Putting the officers in power, and further dehumanizing the prisoners. This rule also meant to never be aggressive, or even fully assertive. One has to be passive-assertive, or fully passive, and never asking questions. You follow orders, or have a bad time. He was dehumanized to the point where the officers believed treating him like a monster, and breaking him was the best option, so they did, because it would get him to follow orders out of fear, rather than respect. The officers don't care which reason it is, they just want people to follow their orders. Nowhere did I say it was fair treatment, nor do I believe this was fair at all. I only said that this treatment was a result of the belief of the police officers, and the dehumanizing process of an environment like this. The best tactics to survive in a situation like this is passiveness, as you follow orders, and thus are safe from further harm. I understand if you thought this as it seemed to imply I was siding with the people who broke him, my words should be more clear, and I am sorry for any misunderstandings I may have caused.

I've dealt with psychosis for a really long time and the hallucinations where your world is different around you are weird but typically the mindset / feeling / reaction you have in that moment is the more jarring thing to look back on- at least for me There was one year, December 2017, where I got horribly sick and it just wouldnt go away and my parents are neurotic as hell, so they isolated me in my room, didnt let me come out at all other than to get food or use the br, wasnt allowed to see family for the holidays or new years, etc, spent them completely alone as they went out. It got to this point where i didnt even feel like at times that there was a world or universe outside of my room? Like I was trapped in a box, and to make it worse, ig my door around the time was breaking so every time i opened it, it became harder and harder to open, it got to this point where id have to use as much strength as possible just to tear it open with a pop and that made me feel trapped even more. anyways there was this one instance i was in my computer chair just catatonic asf, i dont think i was even really doing anything, i was just sitting there, and both the floor and ceiling became an endless black void- I dont remember watching it transform into that, i just suddenly noticed thats how it was, and its not cos it was too dark- i had my mini lamp on, and it was snowing. I think I may have thought of it as falling ash but it basically looked like calm, slow snowfall and i had no reaction to it at all, i just kinda like acknowledged it was happening now compare that to experiencing psychosis when you're not catatonic- itll be things like me seeing thousands of bubbles just appear and not pop and i can move them with the wind by slashing at them, that would sometimes freak me out just based on the fact i knew it wasnt real, but having a void in my room? nothing. Also just noticed this guys name is Shane, i too am a Shane

I have an eerily similar experience to his and the only comfort I can share is that I'm much, much better now. I have severe chronic illness and pain that started at age 11, at age 12 I had to drop out of school. My parents were cruel to me and would sometimes go out of their way to pretend I didn't exist. From age 12-13 I did not leave the house, and from age 13-19 I got to leave the house a total of 4-8 hours a week if I was lucky. If I tried asking to leave more they would threaten to not let me see my therapist (one of my weekly hours) or tell me I was a burden to them. I already had poor mental health due to suspected sexual abuse before the age of 2(I have no memories but have shown symptoms as a child of this happening). Due to my isolation and my parents berating me I started going insane. I started developing DiD and at one point had around 15+ alters, I had near constant delusions (being not real, being a god, being a fictional character), I would have panic attacks every night because I was terrified of the monsters I hallucinated in my room killing me in my sleep. I was never really there. I dealt with more abuse in that time as well, having some relationships my parents would sometimes allow me to have, which ended up in me being raped at 14. I just generally had no grip on reality and started thinking that my plushies of my favourite characters were real and would speak to me. At one point I developed a dark spot on the wall in my closet because I would sit in there with the lights off and gently hit my head against the wall. I was having hallucinations frequently as well, of all kinds. But: at 16 I met someone online, we started talking, and started dating. She would pay for flights for me to go visit her and because she was able bodied and could drive she would take me places and I started very slowly improving. At 19 we moved in together and I started being able to sleep at night without hallucinating because I felt safe. And I slowly stopped having delusions or visual hallucinations. I now only have much more mild tactical hallucinations and rarely some auditory hallucinations. I'm 21 now, we're married, and it feels like a fog was lifted from me. I don't think I'll ever be 100% but just feeling safe and having someone to spend time with all the time has brought back a lot of my mental clarity

I can relate to this so very much. Jesus this takes me back. Granted it was 2 weeks straight only. Mine was a padded room, he’s right, not very well padded. Numerous times I found myself in multiple totally different places, I tried explaining all this to my girlfriend at the time who I was very much in love with at the time. She’s never spoken to me again. This guys story is the only thing close to what I also experienced. The only way out was to go somewhere else. I can only assume that’s what my mind was doing to me at the time. My heart truly goes out to this guy, solitaire is no joke, though the guards sure that it was awfully humorous. Best I can tell I’ve recovered just fine but it certainly took a few years. It was the wildest experience of my life no question and maybe only 3-5 people have ever heard me speak of it. I’m some ways I don’t want to post this comment but I want this guy to know he’s not alone. By the way to be clear, I volunteered to serve my time for a D.U.I and was place in solitary after defending myself in a fight just so there’s no wonder why I was arrested in the first place. I’m sure some may be curious, I would be.

His main symptom he is trying to voice is not psychopathy, but rather psychosis. Psychosis is having auditory or visual hallucinations with a general disconnect from reality, and is common in disorders such as schizophrenia. Solitary confinement is a punishment reserved for the worst of the worst criminal offenders such as murders, rapists, and traitors, so to stick a kid in it for as little of a reason as mouthing off, thats beyond horrible. To the subject of this video, I'm so sorry you had to go through this, and the cruelty one human can inflict upon another seems to know no bounds. If there's any justice in this world I hope those people that subjected you to this hell pay in accordance to your beliefs. However, please seek help. As you undoubtably understand you have long term adverse mental side effects from what you've been subjected to. Don't "be a man" and try to suck it up, it'll only make it worse. Seek professional help or at very least fully confide in your wife. Having the support of another does wonders to alleviate our burdens, but you already know that. During the deepest parts of my depression, I would hallucinate extreme visual static all around me, and I would be convinced I didn’t exist and that I had died as a child and that the world around me was fake. I now know that my experiences were extreme derealization. I couldn’t look in the mirror a lot of the time because my face didn’t look like me, I didn’t recognize myself. Thank god I went on medication when I did and received the help I needed, because I know I wouldn’t be alive today if I hadn’t gotten help. The quiver in his voice is one of sadness and fear. Not to mention that there is never too much detail. Liars tend to over-detail things, and this had none of that. This isn't even to mention how realistic this is to what has been seen of the american system. People have gone to jail for years, serving life sentences, only to be overturned after release many times. I can't say that I grow up in a abusive home but I had over 1 year an abusive ex. Today, I almost know my boyfriend since one year. Hes helping me with panic attacks but I just feel so bad when I'm saying "I don't feel good" or "I don't want this" most of the time I just want to hug him and hide next to him and won't let him look at me. When I explain him something I have the feeling that sometimes he doesn't understand it and if I dissociate and think for a moment that he's my ex he just gets annoyed (only happened two times) and then I'm just really sorry for my behaviour which isn't my or his fault. And I'm talking about myself like that I'm just trash and then he gets angry because he doesn't like that I'm talking about myself like this. So rn I'm at a point where I'm feeling like I'm just talking to myself if I want to explain him something. Because yk it's hard for him too and I understand if he doesn't want to talk about this topic a lot and he's also supportive but it's just making me feel sorry for explaining him and it's hard that he's also the only one who knows (trying to get a therapist but that's very hard to find) and for me it's just important that he knows these things of why sometimes I'm different. So it makes me kind of dissapointed to see that he doesn't give me a reaction. Also I think that he thinks that every time I'm not with him, I only feel bad. Which isn't true, but because we don't live together for now, he thinks like this and from all of what I told him I always ask him if he still sees me like a human who is able to life and feel good because in my mind I always told people too much about me if I just say one sentence

It’s the legal system’s fault that an eleven year old got arrested for having two fights. It’s the guards fault for not giving a child that was removed from his life a couple minutes to wrap his head around the situation. It’s on the guards for leaving this poor, defenseless child alone in a room. There are surely ways to remove them from that room. And they left him. It’s the systems fault, sure. just a fucking reminder that any time anybody is sent into isolation this is what they're facing. this is what they have to go through. this example and this person's experience is horrific and traumatic and deserves to be told to a large audience; with that in mind we need to remember that this is happening 24/7 around the world *without consequence* simply because it's a pre-established part of the prison/justice system. i think it's important to understand that something needs to be done to prevent experiences like this from being a normalcy anywhere, no matter what kind of action you choose to take, to protect each other.

What the hell is wrong with the justice system? This isn't justice. Isolation is nothing but a torture device for anyone of any age. But ESPECIALLY for children. I hope he is able to live a happy life from now on. He deserves it.

@@davidbakke9293 Everyone should be rehabilitated. Revenge based justice doesn't work, doesn't stop people from doing bad shit, and tortures children like the story. We of course should separate dangerous people, and there should be restitution for damages, but prisons shouldn't be recognizable to what ae have now.

@davidbakke9293 They may deserve it, but if they're not rehabilitated, it just puts everybody else at risk. Without rehabilitation, they just do it again.

Here in germany you are not criminal responsible under 14 and especially not for fighting. This is an absolut violation against human rights and disgusting to treat children that way.
