Congratulations Huskies. You’ve gained a fantastic coach. We’re sure going to miss him at Utah State. Thanks for a season to remember for Aggie Nation, Coach!

First Impressions, he seems to be very genuine and I believe it’s a great asset he grew up a Husky Football Fan like many of us! For these reasons, I believe he will do well recruiting and he’s seems knowledgeable and more than willing to accept and embrace the challenges. I’m mildly optimistic but I’m not a huge fan of the current landscape of college sports. Having graduated from UW in 93 and attending my first football game in 1973 I didn’t see or know of his dad but I love he bleeds purple like many of us! Lastly, educated guess his father wore number 20 as a player and if true that’s kinda a cool moment for him and his family! I believe I read his sister (also a fan) was in attendance with their father and he was talking to our new football coach after the press conference. Husky Fan living in Mexico. Go DaWgs!

Don’t let there ever be another Jason Terry, Jamal Crawford, Peyton Siva, Paolo Banchero or Isaiah Watts. ✊✊

I can’t let this comment slide, no offense. 1. JT won a championship at Arizona and played for a legendary coach. He committed to UW and I was sad when he went to UA but he obviously made a good decision and made millions in the NBA. Hard to criticize his decision even as a daWg! 2. Similar with Crawford, some guys just want to get away from home and he was a big fan of the Fab 5 so his choice of Michigan wasn’t surprising. Once he was in the NBA and Romar was coach he was very supportive of UW. Probably a reason why many of our great players like IT, BRoy and such stayed in Seattle and UW. 3. Siva played for another legendary coach and if my 58 year memory is correct but didn’t he win a championship with Rick P. Plus I don’t think Siva was our top point guard, the other kid that was a 5 star from wa but I forgot his name. 4. His mom and dad played at UW and he went to Duke as a one and done and played for Coach K in his last year. He made the best decision and UWs coach was a disaster. 5. Watts didn’t get a scholarship to UW and full ride to wsu…were you willing to pay a full ride scholarship? Don’t be surprised if he is playing for UW next year if there is a good fit between our new coach and his coach at wsu left for Stanford. lol I wish I would’ve have read the comments and responded 🤦‍♂️ Go DaWgs!

@juanito3687 I completely get what your saying. I read the comment like a plea to keep local talented kids at home. But your right some kids want to go experience life away from home and feel like their own adult. And yes those players who left played for excellent legendary coaches and some won titles. I don't see that as a problem at all. But it's amazing when kids stay home and make their home better than it was before they arrived. I'm a sucker for loyalty. I live out of state and despite so many different schools and pro teams around me that my community loves it's a well known fact that I bleed Purple and Gold. I say that because I absolutely LOVE seeing when our local kids stay at home and have success. We've had so many outstanding kids leave to go to other schools and their presence at this schools led to championships. You can't help but wonder if that was possible to do in Washington. Now we have definitely had a disastrous period of time now on our basketball team and previously on our football team with coaches. It's been rough and I do not blame a single kid who didn't want to endure that and therefore opted to go elsewhere. I just really hope this coach is able to put roots in the ground at home and build a winner with all the local talent that our state has. I, like you, love our DaWgs and want them to excel in all sports but also in life. Always love seeing the love from out of state. I hope Mexico is treating you well!!! (Read that you were in Mexico in another comment) Blessings to you and your family!!! Go DaWgs!!!!!

@@juanito3687 I’m familiar with every situation you typed out. Jason Terry has said multiple times that he wished he stayed home. My point is that if he does his job the local guys will be lining up to play for him.
