Meet Sebastian. He is a young boy with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. His family wants to help me share treatment suggestions to help children like him across the world. My clinic, Child and Family Development, in Charlotte, NC, allowed me to use their facilities and their equipment to showcase Sebastian's skill and charming personality. We review techniques to reduce stiffness, encourage strength and control. I think you'll love spending time with him. Thank you to this family and my clinic for allowing this to happen.
I also have available 3 children's educational books, "A is for Autism," "D is for Down Syndrome," and "C is for Cerebral Palsy" available on Amazon. I have forthcoming "Pediatric Physical Therapy Exercises for the Hips". If you have questions or suggestions, feel free to contact me at amysturkey@gmail.com. Please note: I am unable to provide treatment suggestions for a child I have not personally evaluated.

I was trying to do a board like that but unable to do the back support. Now, I'll fix the back of an office chair! Thanks for the idea. And thanks Sebestian! =)

Please doctor, I want to ask you how many times I repeat this exercise per day and how long for a one-year-old child

I cannot answer this question for your child, because I have not personally evaluated your child. However, when I work with my clients in the office, I will often give them 3 to 5 exercises to perform at home. I ask them to try to incorporate them throughout the day for an average of 30 minutes.

Ayyappan Ayyappan D Unfortunately, it is unethical for me to provide treatment recommendations for a child I have not personally evaluated. If you go back to my channel I have three different playlists that follow a particular child sequentially overtime. I am not sure which playlist is the most appropriate for your child. Some people tell me that they go through the playlist sequentially and find the exercises that are the most difficult for their child and work on those and then progress up the Exercises as their child progresses as well. I wish you the very best.

This sounds like a very serious delay. Unfortunately it is considered unethical for me to provide treatment recommendations for a child I have not personally evaluated. If you go back to my channel and the playlists, go to the earliest videos on Colton and Myla (2 different playlists). There you will find very basic videos about head control. The videos for Sebastian may be helpful. However he is a much bigger child. I hope something on my channel is helpful for you. I wish you the very best.

Thank u so much ma'am for ur reply I really appreciated u for this. My baby was of about four or five months when v noticed he cant lift his head n same time v took him to pediatrician but he only suggested is to do his tummy excercise n v did it. Later on he diagnosed as cp child .V took him neurologist and different physiotherapists n thy told us different excercises n we confused what to do or not. I wish ma'am v could access u but again thanks to u May God bless u for this great work.

Make sure you work with him consistently at home. I see over and over again that the families that Work most consistently with their children show the most consistent progress despite the diagnosis. Remember that especially young children are very changeable with input. These early times are very important for development the rest of their lives
