Been binge watching your desert scorpion hunts or anything arachnid. I admire your set up preference mimicking the exact area you get them from. Hoping you upload soon, stay safe while exploring. I’m a be the 1k comment to ask for a collection video which I’m assuming might come out soon hopefully.
and today i found a great Grig, i didnt know what a great grig was, but i was upset to learn that of all the new animals to drop on me it was a species of orthoptera.
I know those tailless whip scorpions are completely harmless to humans, but I really can't deal with how they look. I'm beyond glad I have a 0% chance to come across one of those in rural Pennsylvania.
We appreciate the little guys too! A good macro lens makes them just as beautiful and amazing as all the big boys, but I will admit it's hard not to be distracted... look at the size of those insects, good lord! That katydid, the beetles, the WEEVIL! (I had to say "wtf" out loud)... even the arachnids, nothing comes in a normal size there, huh? Lol. Awesome video, awesome finds Am super curious, though I'm sure you get asked a lot, whether you do this in a work/school-affiliated capacity or purely recreationally. I guess the videos and what is in them itself is recreational, but I would imagine done during downtime for something else. From just what I see in the videos, it really seems like a dream, exploring the wild biota of different parts of the world
Excited to watch! When you can, is it okay if you do a collection/feeding tour? I’m really interested in all your centipedes! I have 6 myself and want to get more. Also, do patternless tiger centipedes have a smaller adult size than a normal/blue tiger centipede (polymorpha) ? Thanks - love your vids!
Awesome. I love how the antennas on the rhinoceros beetles and two of the other species in the video have branches at the ends. I don’t know the term for that. Do they open and close?Kind of gives me the impression that they are eyelashes. Thanks for another interesting video, sir!
I have a request. Can you do a video on ants in your area? Would love to see some of the Local ones around where you make your videos at. :) Would be kinda cool to give some info about them too. like what do the Locals say about them? and/or What Studdies on them has found out about them
If a large insect bites down on ya don't yank it out. Stay calm, find scissors or pliers, and destroy its mandibles. It can't hold on if it has nothing left to bite with.
@@NotLuigi It's better than outright killing it by pulling its head off. With one broken mandible many insects can still survive just fine, and I'd much rather get the mandible outta my skin asap.
