Frrr.. narrow trails and kids having fun can’t say that I haven’t been ripping the trails like that before. Thank god no one was hurt and no four wheelers had major damages
Everyone has to ride like there is oncoming traffic, unless you KNOW there is NOT 2 way traffic, meaning that there is clear signage. THe guy has every right to be pissed, always ride to the right, and on blind runs, you slow down and stick the right side.
I'm a little confused as most of the trail appeared to be one lane wide. Then there's all the blind curves and areas of low visibility for oncoming traffic. How does this not happen constantly?
@@docmccoy1928 I agree...s**t happens and they should get over it. Just like the guy that was on a dirt bike, hauling ass around a blind left hand curve on a dirt road. I was on my ATV heading the other direction and I was as far to the right as I could safely get as I went into the curve. He came around the curve, on my side of the road, and ran into me, head on. My ATV stopped his dirt bike dead in its tracks and the idiot flew clean over me and hit the ground, head first. With a helmet on, he got a concision, a broken arm, and a fractured spine which left him paralyzed from the neck down. I suppose he needs "to get over it" too, huh?
@@chasemyyfz450 Shit doesn't have to happen when everybody rides with a bit of common sense. That punk kid was flying down a narrow trail, and around blind turns as if he was the only one there.
Side by sides must not be allowed on these particular trails. Those are the aholes that are too wide to begin with and don't keep right. Wish I could go where they are NOT.
This is the only only problem with all the tourists coming to the Hatfield and McCoy trails. Not having any experience riding these trails can be overwhelming for the first time and it is so easy for someone to get hurt or killed. Lived in West Virginia my whole life and seen this happen many times
Too true, I know of a fellow Canadian that was touring around the trails NOT RIPPING ( group of seasoned riders) Unfortunately one gentleman managed to go off the edge off a switch back and lost his life?!?!? You can NEVER be too careful, because you NEVER know all the crazy shit that happens in the bush!!!! Glad these guys are OK!! 🤙😎
That is not necessary. A little common sense and SLOW THE F**K DOWN! The need for speed should be on a track, not in the woods where the possibility of meeting others exist.
That is a big problem on the trails, some people ride way to fast on these narrow trails, they don't even slow down going around blind curves. I have almost been hit several times, I always slow down and move to the side when going around the curves because you never know when someone is going to pop around one on you.
@@timjeffreys6855 ,careful your immaturity is showing, it's everyone's business if they are on the same trail as a person riding too fast for the conditions, you never know when you are going to meet another person that could be a young inexperienced rider that does not have the ability yet to not panic when they meet a rider that's riding way too fast. I have nothing against people riding fast Ad long ad the conditions permit it, like where visibility is good and the trail is wide enough to pass riders coming towards you.
Accidents happen but, these guys were going pretty fast from the looks of the helmet cam. Had that been my wife and I and someone came flying around a corner running us off the road there would have been a much bigger scene. The sport bikes are pretty loud so they are hard to not know when one is coming and I prepare for them. Just ride with sense so we can all ride together.
That dude had a right to be pissed, if I found myself hanging onto my quad on its side, I’d be pissed too. I would have prob done the same, been pissy till the quad was on all 4 wheels and I saw little to no damage was done. If the grizzly 700 guy doesn’t bill the other guy for damages, he forgave him in my book.
So sorry for the one guy that got hit head-on but the other guy has no damn business going that goddamn fast on these Trails that's fucking ridiculous how they fly
I wouldn't be able to deal with that attitude! Mistakes happen, everyone was ok, and nothing was seriously broke. Chill out!!! This is what you risk riding on a public trail system.
@glock man that’s not a mistake that’s driving irresponsible and stupid someone could be dead or seriously injured most guys that drive those sport quads drive like that .
That's where you need to ride responsibly and go slow on trails you cannot see very well on. Where is all the recovery gear at, all those quads and nobody had anything? You should always carry a tow strap, tree saver, snatch block and extra clevises especially if you have a winch. Glad all were ok though.
Its normally the side by sides flying around, never expecting anyone else to be coming the other way! ALL of the HMT trails are two way, no mater how narrow. Please be mindful going around blind corners and short up and down hills!
A little anger 😠 but , he cooled ...That's just a scary hill to be rolling over and I guess, anyone would of been shocked for the first moment ? Well, everyone showed good sportsmanship at the end and nobody got hurt. Be safe and be careful.
I understand the guys taking up most of the trail anyway but you can hear those guys from a while away and can tell they are really movin, here in Indiana, interlake rides super fast so you hear a guy scootin you get out of the way.
I hate to say it but this is why sport quads are getting pushed off the trails in my area. My son was ran off the trail by a 660 Raptor at ghost lake in Alberta. Completely wrote my sons quad off. Same weekend i was hit twice once by a guy riding an older canam sport quad and a guy riding a 400ex. The issue is that people are riding shared leasure trails at 60-80kph. If you wanna ride like that get a dirt bike. I almost never hear of a guy on a utility machine causing shit or accidents in my area.
people don't get it one hes in shorts lol but like come on your doing the same thing and riding the same train shit like this is ganna happen I hate the people that always put it on the opposite person that they were wrong...
Uphill has the right of way. Stay to right of trail for both riders. Join your local riders club and attend some meetings for advice, trail rules, conditions. And trail maintenance. Wont hurt to have a long tow strap, rarchet straps etc.
These young boys want to run wide open on public trails, they should have went to a race track. The older gentleman had every right to be upset. They both could have been seriously injured or killed.
Thats y when u ride trails u should always remember that other people are out there on them to if they werent flying around the hill they would have seen them thats y i hate riding on trails like that because of people like them that ride to fast
If the trail isn't wide enough for two atv's I don't ride it, just for this reason. Too many people going too fast with very little brains or concern for safety.
We all know the risks of off road riding. I’d apologize once, offer to help and soon after the guy who crashed started running his mouth started his noise. I and my friends would have moved on down the trail..
The dude In the blue shirt didn’t even pull the line tight before he pushed it on its wheels. Smfh You are supposed to give it gas while winching. Bunch of noobs I swear.
I've been riding for years. It's fine if you want to fly but just send someone up ahead to clear and use radios. We used to do that in cars at 3 AM in the mountains in Japan. Just kidding it was NC but Japan sounded cooler. If that is pocahontas then that's where I crashed too because of a tie rod failure. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FOoTU6JEIuA.html
I could tell that guy was from New York way b4 he told us ... idk why the people there are so nasty I don't understand your out having a good time chill out
I know a dude that acts just like the dude that got pushed over., looks like him also. It's a frigin accident. That shit IS going to happen when you are running both ways on a thin road like that. He said he was in his lane...lol, What frigin lane?
