Ian and Mac have a blast going head to head playing The Paintbrush at The Pulpit Club in Caledon, Ontario.
Dissimilar to most Ontario golf courses, the Paintbrush is a bold recreation of a traditional Scottish links. Like the course, this match turns out to be adventurous and unpredictable right from the first tee.

One of my favorite golf courses that I have EVER played (I played both the Pulpit and the Paintbrush on the same day with the then Head Pro, Jason Bangild), and I have played many great golf courses in the USA, Canada, England and Scotland. I would watch this video over and over again just to bring back the memories that I have of playing this wonderful golf course!

Played both the pulpit and the paintbrush last fall and they are unbelievable. Very hard call which I preferred but it would probably be the paintbrush, just so unique and fun

Loved the production boys. You guys have come a long way with the video production. The drone footage is clutch. Million dollar idea I’ll never get credit for…embed a tracking module in the golf ball so the drone camera can locate and zoom on demand in the moment! I expect my commissions from this 💡!!

Having played both the Pulpit and Paintbrush courses, the Paintbrush is clearly my favorite. I had the great pleasure several years ago of playing both courses on the same day with the then Head Professional/Director of Golf, Jason Bangild. What a fabulous golfing experience!

Interesting to watch their apparent polar opposite styles. Everything about Mac screams free wheeling gun slinger, while Ian seems extremely methodical, tactical, and measured. My tendency is to feel the natural inclination to be more like Mac the more comfortable I get. Without a doubt for me, I get sloppy and revert to bad habits plus, for some reason I get impatient for a myriad of reasons. While I'm drawn to golf, I definitely don't think I have the ideal temperament for it to be top tier.

Love the use of drone footage and the color grade and angle of shots work well. Audio recording separate is really cool because of the way you can lay that over the cuts. The background music could use an upgrade. 😂

Improvement area: Don't handhold the shot tracer camera, use a tripod and point down target line. Will make it look much more professional. Entertaining match, would love to watch more of these.

2 contrasting styles both effective. Fraser playing that traditional style very controlled and precise vs Boucher a more free swing but aggressive to his spot. Just goes to show find YOUR style that gets the ball in the hole in the least amount of shots.

Hey Ian, on a few miss hits you mentioned your right elbow stuck behind your rib cage. Do you know how would you go about correcting that? Recently recorded my swing and noticed my shoulders get way open before impact and leaves my arms behind. Great video love to see the on course action!

Try and feel you elbow very close to your lead arm at the top. If you struggle to do that try pointing your trail elbow toward yourself at adress. Then from the top try keeping your elbow as close to your arm as possible for as long as possible. Make a few slow swings with no ball to feel it
