High desert is beautiful. Out in the open, moderate wind likely common. Great properties shown! East Sierra best, get the water running off the mountains without so much direct precip. Family friends had gorgeous ranch up a canyon you wouldn't even expect a creek would run, viewed from 395, maybe 10 miles N. of Independence. Ran handful of modest homes, shop, on tiny creek hydro power. Literally hidden oasis. Returning from vacation some yrs ago to a flashflood removed entire canyon 'village'. (to my eye some of the houses could have been close to century old, rare occurrence but, inevitable in hindsight, *lucky* no one there at the time)
We own a 40 acre parcel in Ravendale. I have a handful of videos of our recent visit on my RU-vid channel. It’s a pretty neat little area. I think we are going to do a conservation type of project to enhance the natural wildlife habitat in the area.
