That's the thing. We understand so little about predicting the strength of a given piece of timber (short of breaking it), how much more complicated would the sonic properties be without testing it in its final shape and finish? No two guitars will be exactly the same, so embrace the uniqueness. There really is no other guitar like the one you behold.
