This video is the right way to do it, another video I watched was the wrong day to do it! Can be a little stiff getting the plug off the end of the bulb after 10 years. Helps to prod the squeezable part of the socket with a needle nose plyers to get the crud out and get it moving.

Thank you very much. I replaced the bulbs and front lens on 2 other of our cars, but never on 2009 Nissan Sentra we have as well. The top bulb on the DS went off and I looked some films how to replace it. The 1st film I saw showed how to remove the whole lens, and it involved the front bumper cover removal, I thought for the bulbs as well. So glad I saw your film, it is really easy. Very cute baby. Thank you again.

Yes I am struggling lol, I have a new bumper and I'm worried they used rivets instead of screws for the cover plate. I will find out tomorrow after getting a tripoint screwdriver

I love this! I have a 2007 Nissan Sentra and my only concern is that i have big hands so i may need to pull out the headlight assembly (ies) to make it easier to access. Hoping I won’t have to. Thanks again!

@@Amundred so, following up - I didnthe changeout today - took me longer than necessary and for two reasons: 1) I didn’t leave the old light in the socket while trying to pull off the connector; 2) I couldn’t re-seat one of the lights because the “metal tabs” (for lack of a better way to term it) were not aligned over the plastic tabs, so the light would not re-seat. I kept practicing with the old light and finally got it when i took out the other light (the one that died) and looked at its tabs. Once I figured that out, it was 10 minutes tops. The other thing was the position of the tab - i was not pushing on the edge and once i did that, it was super easy to remove. Very glad for this video.

Is that red ring important because i took that off and tried putting around the new one and dropped it. I cant see it.

THe one that goes on the bulb? Yeah, it is pretty important as it seals the headlight assembly and keeps moisture out - can you use it without it? Yeah - but I would just pick up a new bulb with the seal and replace it to avoid any future issues
