Do not use these skimmer on an INTEX, 1 reason, you can no longer add enough water to fill the pool, because you have to cut below the seam so you have 6" less water, so it never actually become square, still bends inward, looks dumb if you have a deck. 2, you can not fill it up with water, you only have 46" max of water, removing 6" for this style skimmer you lost about 15% of your depth, water level now is only 40"ish. 3rd reason, you just cut your pool and voided anything you had. Reason 4, It does not work any better than a skimmer that sits in the pool. Save time buy an index skimmer, or a robot that skims.
I know people are going to say something but, I just looked at his next video showing the pool full, the water is at the top of the skimmer, guess what, the skimmer does not even work if the water is higher than the half way mark of skimmer, this pump will not pool floating drebis down, or the skimmer flap will not open. So, just don't. if they make one that went in then angled up inside the pool it would be worth it. There is an idea for someone.
Hey friend, I just love your pool videos ❤. I have a question. I just bought the same pool and is setting it up next week. do you or don't recommend going to the wide mouth skimmer.I bought a surface skimmer and thought about using my extra pump for a second surface skimmer your thoughts my friend.I really don't want to cut my first pool Thanks for the video.
@@brickeyj123 if I were to do it again, I would just go with the surface skimmer. I would use the pump that you have for your skimmer as it will work great for that. The wide mouth skimmer is awesome...but it definitely was a scary process and I feel that the surface skimmer would work as well after having used the widemouth skimmer for the past two seasons.
Did you replace the sensor and reset the code? It could possibly be that the plug is bad or there is a bad wire between the sensor and the computer...I've had that happen before and had to trace down the bad wire.
Hello a question… is your pool level? Cause I see your corner joint in one side seems ready to pop out… I have the same issue and I am draining my pool now as it is 2,5 inches off and I am afraid that I will collapse. Thanks
I am currently trying to get the driver side engine accessory bracket off without removing intake, water pump, etc. two bolts left, both buried beneath the Exciter wires
One more bolt a day, and eventually it'll be done. So you still have your corvette? That startup after replacement of the Optispark sounded like a rough time
@@lanceerickson9611 I do still have it - it is sitting in the garage with the engine all pulled apart - someday (when I work up the ambition) I plan on swapping over to a different platform - something with a different ignition system
Love your vids i have a question, i just bought a 22x12x 48 best way pool, i want add a wide mouth skimmer like you have i checked the link, but it dont say if it comes with the basket, vacuum adapter etc does it comes with it or is it a replacement for existing one?? Woukd appreciate info, and love the juggalo tatt!!
Thanks for watching! The skimmer comes with the skimmer and the basket for the skimmer, but I believe that I had to buy the adapter for the vacuum separately. I appreciate the comment for the vid (and tattoo!) 👍
I have a misfire I can’t get rid of. New plugs coils crankshaft and cam sensors. My patience is wearing thin and I’m about to burn this car. It has no power can get over 50 mph. The more you push the accelerator pedal the slower you go it bogs down
This video helped me work on my headlights with full details. Thank you so much!! Also, the little joke about baby could do it and you brought actual baby cracked me up when I was watching in my car😂😂
We’re getting ready to set up our 12 x 24 Intex pool. How far out from the pool do the legs go. If we have a site that is 14 x 26 will that be enough room for the legs? I can’t find this information anywhere. THANKS
Yes, that should be enough room - I think I mention the measurement for the legs somewhere in a video - but I feel like it was 2' or maybe a bit less from the size of the pool to the actual space needed
The plumbing was pretty easy tbh - I would pass on the skimmer next time though and just get the Intex ones that clamp to the side of the pool 👍 Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have a 92 that I have been chasing a ghost on. I have had the car for about a year, it has been fine, the previous owner put 10k miles on it in 3 years, and said the opti was replaced just before he got it. When I am driving, it will drive fine, but when I let off the gas sometimes, it will die, like the key was cut off, except everything stays on (radio, headlights, erc) I have replaced both oil pressure sensors, the ignition control module, the idle air sensor, the ignition coil, I have solid fuel pressure, it stays at 35psi on or off the gas, the car will start right back up usually, sometimes it will have to sit a few minutes but it will crank right back up, oh and I have replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump.
Hey man! Loved your videos. Currently proactively going after some of your items (iac, fuel filter) When you pulled the engine, did it seem like it needed a rebuild? Have you taken it to a shop at sny point to see if they can narrow it down?
Thanks for watching and commenting! As far as anything else with the engine - no, the car is sitting there at the moment - in "project" status 😢 I am going to either LS or Big Block swap it, just need the time and...well...to decide what I want! 😂
Nothing is easy anymore, I own a 94 c4 Lt1, thinking of doing a highflo catback. 2 your credit, at least you're honest in your video, lots of people would edit out the issues and make it look easy when its anything but.
